chit-chat / There ought to be a law!!!
« on: March 17, 2005, 03:53:52 PM »
You know how sometimes you just start thinking to yourself about things that happen to you or things that you come across that amzes you? Well I will like to here about them and I will start with mine.

I work with the federal government and most people really have this hatered towards the employee of the government; especially since the government have a lot of contractors who usually do most of the work. Well ever since I have been working here my boss who is a director show up at work drunk occasionally. I was shocked but then it become that he's drunk like 3days out of the week, the bad thing about it is that he will be smelling like liquor the whole time he's in a meeting with like the most important people. Well the most annoying part for me is that he will be giving people like hundreds of task and then later during the week he wont remember that he made you stayed at work through the night. Men there ought to be a law on drunk mangers in a work place...

chit-chat / counsulor needs some help
« on: March 20, 2003, 04:36:03 PM »
ok, here's the deal. I need someone to clear up something for me. I might be helping people for a living but it's seems like I can't figure this one out.

there's a girl who see this man like a brother(mr.X) to her, she love him she think he's the best brother that she never had. so one day he decided to hook her up with one of his friends(mr.Y) as friends so that at least there's someone else to watch her back in terms of his absense, since he's not with her at the same place. she hang out with this friend of his and they also became friends.
one day she received a phone call from somebody(mr.Z) saying that her dear brother gave him her phone number and he's new to the place so he need someone who knows the place preety well to hang out with, so she called the guy back and she told him that she will be willing to chill with him. later on she called mr.Y and told him about what happened and he said oh that's cool, because he met mr.Z 2 dayz ago.
to cut the story short, everything blow up in her face without any notice, my point is that things got into a bad situation. all of the sudden mr.Y is saying that mr.Z didn't get the girls' number from mr.X, mr.Y called mr.X and make it into this big deal that mr.Z has deceived him and ya je bayan zaure with his sister. so mr.X got very upset and wouldn't even talk to the girl and she doesn't know what happened until mr.Y called her and told her that mr.X is really upset at her. she tried everything to explain to mr.X but there's no reply. it's been a while now and all the girl ask is how can she get her brother back she really misses him and she doesn't want it to be like this between them. it's so sad I have no idea how to bullowa this situation and I say let me check it out with my hommies.

chit-chat / Aids Awareness in Northern Nigeria
« on: December 03, 2002, 05:48:44 PM »
I have been working towards AIDS Awareness in Nigeria especially northern Nigeria. It's just so sad to hear and see too many people dying with this disease and most of them do not even know about it. I am not all that familiar with all this in Nigeria, but I want to devote my life in helping hausa women to be open and to be aware of AIDS before it's too late. So many time the women are the one who are innocent and ignorant when it comes to AIDS. since I started thinking about his project I have found out that AIDS is really growing in out nation. I know sometimes it's inmoral to talk about such thing but I believe that it exist and it's about time for us to bring out so that the society will really see the light. I figure it's time to enlightened our people and it's time for us to talk about this. this is not shame we need to save our innocent and our children.

chit-chat / What's your Sign?
« on: December 19, 2003, 09:02:34 PM »
Gemini [/i][/b]

An easy way to spot a Gemini in an office is to look for the person talking on two telephones at once. (Geminis love the telephone and think it was invented for them. It probably was.) As well as carrying on two telephone conversations at the same time, this child of Mercury will be cutting his or her nails, taking notes, gossiping to a colleague on the other side of the room, noticing what's going on in the corridor, waving to a friend, and scanning the pages of the magazine propped up against the typewriter. What's more, the Gemini won't have got a single wire crossed or messed up any deals. It's enough to make some of the slower signs sleepy just to watch a Gemini in action.
But five minutes later, when the telephone calls are over. the gossiping has stopped and the corridor is empty, the Gemini will be fidgeting and wondering why it's such a dull day! Nothing exciting has happened for hours!

does this sound like you? if not what's your sign?

Member Poetry / My Heart? That's the Question
« on: February 01, 2004, 07:37:37 AM »

My heart is aching from the fact that I have been sitting here, knowing you were out there, and not looking for me.
I have been sitting and waiting, scared to even touch my phone in case you called again, but it's ever so quite.
Actually my eyes are going dry for all the tears that I have shred.
And my heart? Now that's the question.
how can my heart run smothly while all along you are my ever lasting love?
now the answer? rest on you hand.

General Board / Matsayin 'ya'ya a north
« on: September 03, 2003, 08:51:33 PM »
I looked around to see if there's a way that I can come with this question. I know for a fact that most people have this question in mind, because I have too many people ask me about it. the question here is that "what are children position from a parents persfectinve in the north?" I was taking to someone and one thing that I was told was that most parents from the north find their children to be something like their properties, for example I will tell you what to do or what not to do because I'm your parent and you have no rights to question me. I think I have a point here, do you think parents should be controlling thier children even after theeir adolecence years. I mean should an adult child life be controlled by parents? if so why?
