General Board / Individual Sovereignty
« on: May 05, 2011, 12:28:00 PM »
SELF GOVERNMENT
A person is a sovereign on his or her own and it is only him/her that can negotiate that sovereignty. To negotiate the sovereignty is to give authority to a person or an institution over oneself. No person has the right to rule without the consent of the ruled. Authority is the right to preside and decide over a group.

Every sane adult is expected to establish an independent self-government and thereby becomes a sovereign on his or her right – to be in charge of his or her own affairs. A child can not be independent. Sovereignty means self-government.

A family is an entity that can stand either as an independent community or a unit of a community. There is no limit to the size of a community or number of communities. As it is possible for the entire world to live together as a single community, so it is for any two individual adults to constitute themselves as an independent community. A community is two or more people brought together by love and living together as one.  This is to be contrasted with a mere association where two or more people are working together and may be staying together but are not living together – to live together is to love each other and exist as one.

Every adult is to take full responsibility of his or her life without any unauthorised interference. As long as a person does not encroach into the territory of another individual, he or she is free to live his or her life anyhow he or she wants it. Authority over a person’s life can only be given by the person himself or herself.

Nobody has any right to deprive a person of bodily needs likewise correct information – deprivation of this sort is a crime that must never be tolerated in a sane community.

Coming and living together has to be by mutual consent and on clear terms agreed by all the parties involved. Justice is a prerequisite for a community.

In a sane community, it is not ‘rule of the majority’ but ‘rule of all’. Finding the truth is not by voting but by research and mutual consultation. Everyone is an asset because no brain is a waste. Rule of the majority only makes sense when the intention is not to find the truth and live according to it but to serve diverse selfish interests.

The world is one and the truth in it is one. In the same way that we need correct nutrients for the body and correct information for the mind, so we need correct intentions for the heart.

The entire universe is created in stages and human beings are at the topmost. In the hierarchy of creation, we have the inanimate things then the plants and the animals. While human beings are placed above all other creatures, no human being is created a slave for another human being. We are all equal and the world belongs to all of us - no one is a tenant here!

Human beings see and respond to the world through the mirror of their ideologies – there is no one without a world-view. No one is to force or manipulate anyone into any belief – everyone has his brain as his sight and has the rational sense to discern truth from falsehood. There is no fellowship in knowledge – a person needs to have personal conviction.

Human beings live as communities because they are social creatures that give and receive love.

As an individual, a person has his personal affairs and in a community, a communal affairs. The need for a leader is to preside over communal affairs.

Establishing or becoming a member of a community is by choice likewise leaving it – there is free entry and exit. To become a member of a community is to consent and give allegiance to the laws and the leadership of that community.

God is the only Lord – all human beings are created equal – no one has the natural right to rule over any other person. No one has the right to be a dictator.

The nations we have today are not true communities because membership is not by choice and love not a condition. History is dominated by the greedy ones conquering people to establish kingdoms and empires. We live in a world where might determines what is right.

Every sane adult is given the rational sense as his/her only guide and given the brain as the only sight. No one is allowed to accept anything which he/she does not see by his/her brain or comprehend by his/her rational sense.

A person lives for his or her heart and must therefore not accept anything which he/she can not clearly trace (the benefit) to his or her heart. A person must always know why he or she has to do anything.

God is rich and we are poor – we are the ones in need of God. Whatever God wants us to do is for ourselves – God does not need to be benefited. Therefore, we can only understand God when we clearly understand our needs.

It is an inbuilt nature in human being to always seek for the reason/benefit of a thing/deed. Where the reason is not forthcoming, one takes to superstition. No human being can act otherwise.

We are individuals that live in a common but competitive house. A person must be strong to survive in such a situation. The least strength (as a prerequisite for survival) is to decide/intend and remain determined never to become a slave to any creature. A slave is not living.

Anyone who willing chose to be a slave has negotiated his right to be regarded as a human being until he decides otherwise. No human being is superior or inferior to any other human being. The measure of human value is the heart not the body.

A person has a Heart and the Body. The heart is the focus of creation. The heart feeds on Intentions.

Intention is completely a private affair between a person and the Lord – not even the angels are aware of what transpires in the heart. There is no intermediary between any heart and God and there is no leadership in matter of heart. Leadership and Law are based on bodily activities and interactions only.

The Heart is the seat of motivation for all our physical activities – the activities (in turn and based on our intentions) strengthen or relax the heart.

Every human being has a self that is confined to the heart within him/her – the training of self is an internal affair that does not involve any other human being. No two people share a heart and no individual has more than a heart. No one can love and hate a thing at the same time.

The universe is the common house we all share together hence the need for interaction and (of consequence) the cooperation/competition. It is in our interactions that we discuss Justice, Law and Leadership.

All human beings are selfish except those who have control over themselves.

Individual sovereignty is a natural right that can not be given or denied by anyone – it is for every individual to intend/decide to be a free person or a slave. A person who is coerced is not a slave so long he does not accept the status quo at heart. It is a great sin before God to enslave or allow oneself to be enslaved.

Therefore, it is an individual choice either to live a life as a King/Queen or to be enslaved under deceptive titles (idols) - to be serving the interests of the “elites”.

This world is not exclusively for anyone – it is not theirs or yours or mine but ours – we are all landlords here!  An Idol is anything that is used to enslave the mind of a person.

There is physical as well as mental enslavement. Physical enslavement is to physically coerce a person into servitude - to rule over a person by force. Mental enslavement is to enslave the mind of a person instead of just the body - to manoeuvre a person into servitude while he thinks he is free.

A mentally enslaved person is equally a slave physically - the worst thing that could happen to a human being - death is by far better.

A human being has a body and the soul. While the purpose of life is to uplift the soul at individual’s level of understanding, the body is the physical object by which we interact and manifest our wishes. We definitely have differences in body and environment but not in the soul.

All human beings are created free. All human beings are identical in matter of soul; there is no even gender difference in soul.

The bodily differences have been created in order to organize us and make it easier to conduct our material activities in the common world that we all live. It is a necessity that we divide the activities among ourselves; this has not in anyway made anyone better.

The best among us is the best in beliefs/awareness/character; material possession or position is of no relevance completely. All the material differences are meant to give us addresses so as to recognize and organize ourselves and thereby accomplish our material goals.

The God who created us does not look at our bodies and possessions but what the heart contains.

A leader is in no way better than an ordinary person on the street.  A person of a particular race is not better than a person of another race nor is a person living in a big city better than a person living in a remote village.

A human being is either a child or an adult. All adults are independent human beings.

Every adult lives for his or her heart. Every adult must not engage in anything until he or she can trace the benefit of that thing to his or her heart if not it may be exploitation.

As it is completely prohibited for an adult to have pride so it is completely prohibited to have inferiority complex. A human being is a human being; we all belong to the same group.

When a baby is born and the umbilical cord is cut, the first out of the three ropes of dependence has indeed been cut. The baby henceforth is no more part of the mother’s body but a separate entity. The baby now gets its food through the mouth and takes in air from the raw earth. There are still two more ropes to be cut later in life.

The baby would now have to grow to become physically and mentally fit to face the challenges of life. An adult is an independent human being in matter of mind.

When a person becomes mentally fit to face life by himself, God the Almighty cuts the second umbilical cord – the new adult is henceforth responsible for the procurement of his needs and security. If his life will be sweet or bitter, it now depends on how he utilises his God-given brain and mind. A person up till this point has become an adult though not all adults are human beings – some adults are worse than beasts.

The first umbilical cord was cut by human beings while the second one was by God. The third and the determining rope in life can only be cut by an individual himself. It is for every individual to decide to become or not to become a human being. We all have identical opportunities with respect to this choice. The goal of life is to become a human being.

What distinguishes an adult from all other creatures of God is the unique brain that makes it possible for him or her to have the rational sense. Thanks to the power of imagination, we can see ourselves against several settings. Thanks to God, we have the power to choose our response. You think you are small and inside you is the universe.

It is the rational sense that really distinguishes a human being from an animal. An animal has no sense of the truth. The ultimate goal of an animal is mere survival and the guide is the desires. The ultimate goal of human being is to live to the truth and the guide is the rational sense.

At adulthood, a person is confronted with two options in life; to declare his independence from all human lords and live a just and rational life or to remain a slave and be condemned in life.

Every human being is a King or Queen and must be respected thus.

ENSLAVEMENT
Human beings have primary desires and have also been given the rational sense to regulate the desires.

We all live in the same physical world so we must of necessity share the world. The Merciful Lord who created us has not created any scarcity in matter of our needs; there is abundance of everything even above our needs.

Some people due to their laziness and evil tendencies have refused to regulate their hearts and are therefore wild in their search for love and security – they have chosen to disregard the rights and respect of other fellow human beings.

When God sent us to earth, He sent us as individuals and He will raise us up on that great Day of Judgment to face our individual accounts. No soul bears the load of another. God is so just that He gave every human being the opportunity to ascend to any height.

The motivating factor in life is no doubt survival and happiness. Every human being struggles for happiness. For an adult, life is to acquire practical and sustained happiness.

The misguided politicians who have refused to correct their hearts are here today thinking they have the right to manoeuvre or dictate for others. They are the ones that have set up one idol or the other to enslave other human beings while we have been created to be independent of any human lord.

Rebellion against God has been the single and persistent problem among human beings. Prophets were sent to awaken human beings to the use of their rational senses and thereby save them from mental enslavement.

All human beings are selfish and anyone who has the chance would want to become god in exception of those that have completely surrendered themselves to the only LORD and look onto the HEREAFTER.

There are those who have openly declared that they have no business with God and are therefore running their affairs without involving God in their decisions – they call it secular system. These people sincerely declare their rebellion.

The other group of people is rather hypocritical. They claim to be serving God but the reality is that they have set themselves up as the intermediaries to God. They are worshipped instead of God. They come under the name of religions and spiritual cults.

Yes! Human religions, nationalism, and the physical symbols are among the idols of today; the idols that Abraham broke. Abraham was not fighting against mere stones and carved wood! Abraham was fighting against mental enslavement – the lords behind the idols – the politicians of today.

Know that these are people that have rebelled against the Lord who created and is sustaining them. They are the rebels that have rebelled against their own NATURE. They are responsible for all the evils on earth. They will not stop at anything to enslave you. They have no any respect for your human dignity. It is you and only you that can free yourself and then associate with other free people.

I am glad that I am free and ready to associate with free people wherever they are found so that we be a nation of our own.

In a sane community, it is not might that rules but the truth. A sane community is a relationship between Kings and Queens.

The Mind is too fertile that a person must either cultivate it himself or the devilish politicians take over.

Antoine-Nicolas Condorcet forcasts:
“We shall find in the experience of the past, in the observation of the progress that the sciences and civilization have already made, in the analysis of the progress of the human mind and of the development of its faculties, the strongest reasons for believing that nature has set no limit to the realization of our hopes.…

The time will therefore come when the sun will shine only on free men who know no other master but their reason; when tyrants and slaves, priests and their stupid or hypocritical instruments will exist only in works of history and on the stage; and when we shall think of them only to pity their victims and their dupes; to maintain ourselves in a state of vigilance by thinking on their excesses, and to learn how to recognize and so to destroy, by force of reason, the first seeds of tyranny and superstition, should they ever dare to reappear among us."

In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful

We could go on proving or disproving something concerning the activities of a person but it will not do us much good like if we go to the primary issues of life.

Human beings, compared to all other creatures of الله are insignificant. They are not as big as elephants; not as hard as rocks; not as many as the stars yet they are the kings.

They are the kings of life because they manipulate life to their advantage due to their superior brain.

These same human beings are not without feelings and desires.

Sometimes, they found themselves helpless confronting their emotions. Sometimes, they are sad and at another time they are happy. They would have preferred to live in the city of happiness forever.

There is no single human being who does not want to be mentally comfortable and happy.

Mental comfort is not acquired by force but by knowledge and proper adjustment. When one is in conformity with the natural world, the world (to him) is straight if not it is bent.

There is no human being that can deny that he is not at war with himself sometimes. How many are times a person would want to do things in a way and his desires are different? Take the case of a person who does not want to be seduced yet he is seduced; a smoker who cannot quit the habit of smoking.

Are we really in control of ourselves or can’t we be in charge of ourselves at all?

We live in different world of ideologies not because the world is multiple in meaning but because we prefer to see it in our individual selfish ways.

How can one program the mind to see things as they are not as he would prefer to see them?

Why is our approach to science so different from that of politics?

Who are we, what is the world and where are we going?

A sensible person does not leave his house without knowing where he is going but why do we move on earth aimlessly?

Self-awareness is the dictionary of life. It is the language of the Qur'an and the guide to all reality.

Why don’t we set this as the basis of all our discussions so that the discussions are focused?

Once a person knows who he or she is, the treasures of the world become very evident to him or her.

May be then we can appreciate intellectual discussions.

Islam / LAW AND RULING
« on: May 24, 2006, 02:10:12 AM »
Law does not rule rather it is a person that rules by law.

No matter how perfect a system is, if there is no Just leader, the community is a misguided community.

There has been a great deception that LAW can rule. Nay! It is man that rule by law.

Law is dead that it can neither enforce nor defend itself.

Allah says: "Whoever does not judge by the Book of Allah" and did not say "Whoever does not allow the book of Allah to judge him"

Allah did not talk about establishing perfect laws on earth but talked about establishing righteous servants that will rule by His laws.

Where is it in history that law ruled? Is it not Might that has ruled most part of the time?

Therefore, a Muslim must not accept anyone as his/her ultimate leader until he/she is convinced that such a leader is immune from sin ? that he has absolute control over himself and he is sincere.

A Muslim must be vigilant to ascertain that his leader remains just. He/she has to be on the watch to ensure that he/she is obeying Allah and not the wishes of anyone.

The promise of Allah is to establish His righteous servant on earth ? those just people that are very careful and highly considerate of others.

Indeed such are the best community raised up for mankind. They enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency; and they believe in Allah.

A just leader rules by standard principles and procedure that are apparent to the members of his community. The leader has to be seen to be just.

A Muslim community is highly dynamic and unstable. There is no any assurance that a member will continue to be a member ? it depends on how much such member maintains his or her personal Taqwa.

Ignorance, negligence and following the crowd are not qualities and as such a person does not need any effort to acquire them unlike wisdom, vigilance and sense of direction. To remain a Muslim, a person must remain vigilant and struggle against his carnal and irrational desires ? this is difficult for many.

It is not where a person starts his journey that matters but the direction he is going.

Since there is free entry and exit, the existing community can collapse all at once or it can change so drastically that there is need to start all over again in matter of educating the members.

The leader is also at very high risk of enmity. Human beings easily turn enemies when their interests are touched no matter how long and close they have been to the leader. Some are not bold to announce their disloyalty. They remain hypocrites working dangerously against the leader from the background while pretending to be friends ? for others, it is cleverness.

If there has to be orderliness, learning and progress, there must be standard laws. Along the standard laws, the Just leader customises and makes necessary adjustments to handle exceptions.

The size of the 'body of law' of a community is inversely proportional to the level of trust in that community. Where the level of trust is higher the size of law is lower because the convention (which is the context) would have taken care of many things.

In an ignorant community, law is made to regulate the masses while the arrogant rulers are mostly above it or twist it as they wish. After all, they are the interpreters.

Any Muslim leader who is prevented (by the enemies) from ruling his community must fight to remove the persecution if he is able if not he is considered weak.

A Muslim does not need to go to any Jurist to give him verdict.

There are the guidelines outlining the wisdom of affairs from which every individual can draw and interpret according to his/her specific situation. Public laws must always be made known to the public.

Islam / HUMAN RELATIONSHIP - The Conclusion
« on: May 24, 2006, 01:36:36 AM »
THE CONCLUSION
A community is a group of people living together as a body.

When two or more people are attracted together for a common goal in life, they become a community.

RELATIONSHIP VERSUS INTERACTION
When any two people have anything to do together, it is interaction regardless of the basis and the goal of the activities. Therefore, any exchange, contribution or cooperation and any distribution that involves two or more human beings is interaction. It is a general term for mutual activities.

Relationship is a form of interaction but it is specifically the interaction that is based on love. Human beings interact on the basis of either need or love. Relationship is the one based on love.

Love, unlike need, creates a sense of attachment or belonging.

LOVE AND ATTACHMENT
Love is the conscious force of attraction that binds two or more creatures together. The creatures in love are attached together.

The people in love act together as if they are a body.

The cause of love is mutual understanding and some physical attractions though we are more concerned here with intimate love which is related more to understanding.

Marriage is extension of this mutual relationship into sexual activities and possibly bearing of children.

FAMILY
A family is the smallest form of a community whereby two married people coexist as if they are one.

Children are often born into families and so we begin to have womb relationship.

LEADERSHIP
Whenever two or more people have to do anything together, there has to be a leader to serve as the control and coordinator of the activities.

Leadership is still that control in machine except that it involves free will.

In any community, the leadership is born along with the community and it is the symbol of love and the relationship. So, every community is instituted with its leadership regardless of whether this is specified or not.  Problem normally arises when there is the effort to change the status quo.

TRADITION VERSUS VIGILANCE
Human beings are dynamic creatures that are always evolving both in awareness and in population.

Every community tries to keep the status quo by preserving its culture (the beliefs and habits) and by indoctrinating the coming generations.

Traditions are taught to the coming generation through gradual process. A person has to be awake to correct and avoid this indoctrination.

In contrast to the traditional setting is vigilance.

Vigilance is a situation where a person or a group of people in the community become awake to the reality of life and decide to act accordingly instead of following the tradition.

CHILDHOOD VERSUS ADULTHOOD
Human beings have two phases in life: the phase of childhood and that of adulthood.

During childhood, a person is physically and mentally immature and is therefore dependent on the adults.

Adults are matured human beings who have gained sufficient mental capability to live as independent human beings.

During the phase of childhood, a person has little say in his life but as an adult, one is expected to be in full charge of his destiny.

THE TWO COMMUNITIES
Due to the challenges at Adolescence, a person is faced with the options of either becoming a vigilant person or remaining a traditional person.

Whoever chooses to become a vigilant person would definitely become rebellious to the traditional set up. He automatically becomes a member of the vigilant community.

Therefore, in reality, there are just two communities in this world: a vigilant community and a traditional one.

Unlike the traditional community, a vigilant community is not sustainable because there is no inheritance and because the traditions are not imposed. Membership is by self-realisation and by choice.

The leadership is based on values and there is nothing like the status quo. As the community grows in awareness so there may be need for new leadership depending on who has the value at a given time. This is always the most difficult aspect of the affairs and for this; the community is always undergoing the endless process of renewal.

Sometimes, it is just one person that has the zeal to become vigilant in an entire community; this person becomes the new vigilant community and the leader. The situation remains like this until he finds and joins another vigilant community or he is joined by new members.

Prophet Ibrahim was a lonely member of his community in this sense.

AL-ISLAM
Al-Islam stands for vigilance, so anywhere that it goes, it raises the flag of vigilance and allows the free human beings to born a new community.

A Muslim believes in no authority other than the authority of Allah and all his life activities are based on that belief.

THE EARTH
This earth is the common home for the two communities.
Allah who sent Adam to earth also allowed Iblis to live here until the appointed time. Allah knew and even instructed Adam about the permanent enmity of Iblis. Therefore, it is by Allah's design that the two communities would have to engage in continuous struggle for dominance until the end of life here on earth.

This implies that the two communities must never relate.

Since the two communities must share a common house and no one can eliminate the other, it becomes impossible for them not to interact. Allah allows interaction between the two communities to the level of need but strictly prohibit relationship in any form.

THE PRACTICAL SITUATION
The world today is a global village and the traditionalists, as usual, have dominated the political scene enforcing their traditions on people and trying to maintain the status quo.

They divided the world into countries, set up armed forces and formed information network all with the aim of instilling control.

The confusion for an observer is that wherever he looks, there is no trace of the vigilant community. He asks whether there is no option but to join the traditional community.

The answer is that the vigilant community is not a prerogative of anyone. Whosoever gains awareness becomes a member and the leader of a vigilant community until he finds and joins other community or more people join him. This is the very test of our sincerity.

To join the traditional community is to become one of them. This is not allowed no matter the condition of a person and no matter how seemingly wealthy and powerful they are.

While we have nothing whatsoever to do with how they run their affairs, we can nonetheless, interact with them based on our needs.

Therefore, in terms of administration, we have nothing to do with the Kuffar, but when it comes to services that they render, we can interact to the extent that it is not detrimental to our ideals and values.

A person is rated and analysed by his level of awareness.

Education is the means by which we transfer information from one generation to the other.

A human being is an individual given a heart and a reasoning ability. Every human being has to struggle to build the heart. There is no fellowship in matter of belief.

A family is made up of a husband and a wife and possible a child or children.

A woman must ascertain that a prospective husband is just or that he is under a just leader before she gives her allegiance to him in marriage.

The leadership of a community is the heart of the community and therefore is the community.

A Muslim must ascertain that the leader is just before he or she gives his or her allegiance to him. In the same sense a Muslim must remain vigilant so that he/she can withdraw his/her allegiance when the leader is no more just.

Every individual Muslim is the judge of whether a leader is just or not. A person can only act according to the level of his/her understanding and conviction.

Obedience to the ultimate leader is absolute in communal affairs and it is the leader who determines what a communal affair is.

Human relationship is based on love but sometimes the love is irrational. A genuine relationship is the one that is based on rational love ? the love for the truth.

A Muslim community is based on love for Allah.

As we need ash-Shahwah to be the platform from which we draw out al-Aql, so we need primary community to draw out rational community.

HAD I READ THE MANUAL
It was the case of a man who bought a mobile telephone handset but did not read the booklet that was attached to it. He had the basic knowledge of dialling a number and receiving a call.

Whenever he received a call, he could hardly tell who was calling yet the person at the other end felt that he should recognise his number.

He sat down and thought over the issue and decided to write down all the numbers that call him along with the names and he was doing it well. Anytime there was a call, all he needed to do was to take his note and search for the owner of the number ? do not mind the lapse of time.

The problem started when the numbers become too numerous for him to cross-check to see the caller or to write down the number if it is a new one. Callers begin to get worried for his much delay in responding to their calls.

He sat down and thought over the problem and finally decided to employ someone to be cross-checking and noting down the numbers while he engaged in preliminary conversation with a caller.

For some time, there was no much problem until he realised that he did not have much privacy because of his employee who always had to go with him wherever he went.

It was in his effort to resolve this problem that he was made to understand that he could save all the numbers with the handset and have it presented to him when there is a caller.

He tried it and he was shocked to find that it was true. He checked the manual and he was surprised to find out that it is boldly written there.

Every human being is motivated by his search for happiness or satisfaction in life.

Al-Qur?an explains everything that we need to know concerning the heart and happiness in a simple and straightforward language but alas we are deluded.

What most of us have done is that we abandoned the manual and instead concentrated on an extensive research which has so far gotten us nowhere.

How unfortunate if after centuries of research, we finally come to the conclusion that the formula we were looking for was presented to us on a platter of gold but we were blind to it and had therefore gotten to travel the millions of miles.

The Qur?an has explicitly explained to us the formulas of life which we could test and confirm but unfortunately we have been heedless. Why won?t we suffer and be deluded?

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those with him are firm in heart against the rejecters, compassionate among themselves.

You will see them bowing down, prostrating themselves, seeking grace from Allah and pleasure.

Their distinction is in their faces, as a result of prostrating. Such is their example in the Torah.

And their example in the Injeel is like a plant which shoots out and becomes strong and thick and it stands straight on its trunk, pleasing to the farmers that He may enrage the rejecters by them.

Allah has promised those among them who believe and do good, forgiveness and a great reward.

Islam / The Fictitious Mahdi of the SHIAS
« on: May 17, 2006, 02:10:12 AM »
THE TRUTH ABOUT IMAM AL-MAHDI
As we already know, in matter of IDEOLOGY, issues have to be plainly clear as we are only requested to accept what we can understand. We will only be held accountable on the Day of Judgment according to our understanding.

This issue would have to be looked upon intellectually without allowing sentiments and prejudices to blind us.

Allah wants us to be as natural as possible; miracle is not our life; it is just that certain clarifications have to be made sometimes.

For the fact that Hassan al-Askari did not come to the world with a child, it is the Shias who would have to prove that he did give birth to a child.

When a person analyses the Shia sources with respect to this case, the following points become very clear:
1.   Hassan al-Askari, who died at the age of 28, was not known to have married in his life; this however does not suggest that he did not have a slave girl.
2.   Narjis, the acclaimed slave girl of Hassan al-Askari, was never seen to be pregnant during her stay with Hassan al-Askari or seen to give birth to a baby. She herself admitted that she never experienced any pregnancy.
3.   There is no apparent son who could be presented as an evidence of any offspring as the acclaimed son presumably disappeared and is yet to re-appear.

If Hassan al-Askari did not marry to indicate that he wanted to have a baby; the slave girl in his house admitted never to have been pregnant; and likewise, there is no baby that can be clearly presented as an evidence of offspring, on what ground can anyone accept that Hassan al-Askari gave birth to a baby?

When one turns to miracle for explanation, it can not help because miracle is done to clarify issues and not to compound them. Holding to miracle in this case would only open the room for any irrational claim.

For instance, a man could claim that he became miraculously pregnant and gave birth to 5 babies yesterday. When he is asked to provide evidence for his claim, he would say that it was secrete and that all the babies have gone into occultation.

This is how the Shias narrate the birth of Imam Mahdi:
?Hakimeh Khatoon, the daughter of Imam Muhammad Taqhi (عليه السلام) said: ?Imam Hassan Askari (عليه السلام) called me and said: ?O my aunt! Tonight is the 15th of Sha?ban break your fast with us since Allah will bring into existence a prosperous being who is His proof on the earth.? I asked: ?And who is the mother of such a prosperous infant?? He answered: ?Narjis.? I said: ?My dear master, one can find no sign of pregnancy in Narjis Khatoon.? He answered: ?Believe in what I say, that is all.? Then I went to his house, I said hello and sat down. Narjis Khatoon came to me and took my shoes off. She said: ?My Lady! Good night.? I answered: ?You are the lady of my family and myself.? She answered: ?No! There is a far distance between this great position and I? Dear Lady! Allah grants you a son tonight who will be the Master of both the worlds,? I replied. When she heard these phrases, she sat down while she was surprised and ashamed. I said my midnight prayers and broke my fast. Then I slept. I later arose at dawn to say my morning prayer.

After my prayer, I found Narjis Khatoon sleeping while there was no sign of her delivering a baby. After my prayers, I slept again and after some moments I got up in anxiety. I saw Lady Narjis was sleeping. I doubted the Imam?s (عليه السلام) promise. Suddenly I heard Imam Askari (عليه السلام) saying with a loud voice: ?Aunt! Don?t be surprised since the time is very near.? When I heard his voice, I started to read Sura Baqara, Sajdeh and Yasin. Meanwhile Lady Narjis got up anxious. I approached her while reciting Allah?s names.

I asked her: ?Do you have any SPECIAL FEELING?? She answered: ?Yes.? I said: ?Don?t worry, be bold, this is the glad tidings of which I told you.? Then we both slept, after some minutes I awoke and saw the infant was born while he was prostrating with the seven parts of his body (i.e. his two palms, knees, his big toes, and his forehead) touching the ground. I embraced that beautiful baby. Strangely the baby was pure and clean of all the birth-giving impurities??  Mahjubah vol. 21 No. 10(213) ? P. 54 ? (October 2002/Sha?ban 1423)

This is the main story of the birth according to authentic shia books. I have also copied the translation from a shia magazine.

The ?special feeling? is what is sometimes translated as pregnancy which was a brief experience in this case. Hakimeh according to this narration, woke up only to see a baby prostrating and in another narration, raising up his finger and praising Allah verbally. In this narration, he talked to the father moments later and then to the mother. Refer to the same Mahjubah.

If there was a story like this and the baby were to be there, how would anyone prove that the baby was not brought in from somewhere else?

Coming to the question of occultation, Allamah Tabatabai agrees that the Imam could not be hiding without providing guidance. While accepting that the Imam is not presently providing the external guidance, he however, believes that he is providing what he referred to as internal guidance.

The problem with this line of argument is that if the holy prophet could not provide the internal guidance as clearly expressed by the Qur'an that you (the prophet) do not guide whom you love but that Allah guides whom He wishes, how come al-Mahdi?

The holy Prophet was no more than a human being that we are ? he has no assess to any person?s heart ? he only judged by the apparent activities. Since he was never a supernatural human being, we can not expect al-Mahdi to be.

Shaheed Baqir Sadr?s explanation that the four special representatives (who were purportedly meeting with the missing son) were trustworthy, learned, unconnected together and were never doubted contradicts historical facts. Baqir said:
?Is it conceivable that a fraud could be continued for seventy years by four persons, one after the other, without giving rise to the least suspicion? These four persons had no special link with each other and no collusion between them could be suspected. Their conduct was above reproach. They gained the confidence of all and everyone believed in the genuineness of their claim and the reality of their experience.? The Awaited Saviour p. 57

The first link (deputy) between the hidden Imam and the Shia community was the father of the second deputy and both were disciples of the 11th Imam. The third deputy was introduced by the second deputy to succeed him and he was a known Shia. The fourth was introduced by the third and he was also a known Shia. Refer to ?An inquiry concerning al-Mahdi? by Baqir Sadr PP. 113-117

Look critically into this story reported by al-Irshad under the title ? ?Extract from the Evidence, Proof and Signs for the Leader for the (Rest of) Time?

Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Mahziyar narrated his story:
"I doubted (if there was a successor) at the death of Abu Muhammad al-Hassan b. Ali (al-Askari), the 11th Imam (عليه السلام). A great deal of money (for the Imam) had been gathered with my father. He took it and went by boat. I went with him to say farewell to him. He became seriously weakened by a fever. He said: ?My son, take me back, it is death.?

Then he said: ?Fear God with regard to this money,? and he entrusted it to my (safe-keeping).

Three days later he died. I said to myself: ?It is not possible for my father to entrust me with something for safe-keeping which is not true. I will take this money to Iraq. I will hire a house on the (river) bank and I won?t tell anyone anything. If something becomes clear to me like it was clear at the time of Abu Muhammad (al-Hassan al-Askari), (عليه السلام), I will hand it over. If not, I will spend it on enjoying myself and entertaining myself.?

I went to Iraq and hired a house on the river-bank. I remained there for several days. Then suddenly a letter (was brought) by a messenger: ?Muhammad, you have such-and-such ????

(It went on) to describe everything I had, even what I was not aware of being included in it. I handed it over to the messenger. I remained for some days without a head being raised to me (in greeting) and I was grieved. Then (a messenger) came to me: ?We have put you in the position of your father. So praise God.? ?Al-Irshad? by Sheikh al-Mufid P. 533

Who was the man in the story, who was his father and who were they representing? Who was the messenger and from whom was he carrying his message?

To compound it further, the mother and brother of Hassan al-Askari shared the properties of Hassan al-Askari (عليه السلام) because they were also not aware of any son or daughter.

Sheikh Kulayni (the author of al-Kafi) who gathered the over 16,000 of his Hadith during 30 years that the so called deputies were in touch with al-Mahdi and present with him in the same Baghdad would surprisingly not narrate all the ahadith through Imam al-Mahdi!

The so called representatives themselves have nothing tangible to show of their scholarly work like that of Kulayni. They were rather busy gathering money from the Shia community for the purported al-Mahdi and collecting letters from the Mahdi to denounce other claimants to their position. Shias now rely on Kulayni?s work for guidance.

Coming to the letters purportedly written by the hiding Mahdi, one can clearly notice some technical faults which can never be ascribed to people considered to be Infallible. For instance, how could an infallible Imam forget al-Qur?an and only refer people (during his absence) to the ?narrators of his Hadith?? The ?Narrators of Hadith? would later be replaced by the ?Usuliyun?!!!

Concerning the argument that there must always be a Mumin on earth to serve as proof against others, how can the purported Mahdi be that proof and yet he is not seen physically? In which way can he be a proof of anything? A Hadith in Bihar al-anwar of the Shias also make it a condition that a proof must be physically present.

Meanwhile, no one can claim that there was no proof on earth during the period that separated Prophet Isah and Muhammad. Is Allah lying when He said that for every community is a guide (a person they can physically refer to)? Is the Qur'an not there as a proof or do you want to believe that there are no Muminun at all?

This is how ?fatah? analysed the events at the death of the 11th Imam:
?The confusion that reigned amongst the Shi?ah after the death of Hasan al-Askari is reflected by the Shi'ite writer Hasan ibn Moosa an-Nawbakhti, who counts the emergence of altogether 14 sects amongst the followers of Hasan al-Askari, each one with a different view on the future of the Imamah and the identity of the next Imam. It must be noted that an-Nawbakhti was alive at the time all of this was taking place. Another Shi'ite writer, Sa?d ibn Abdullah al-Qummi, who also lived during the same time, counts 15 sects, and a century later the historian al-Mas?udi enumerates altogether 20 separate sects.

?Trends

?There were four major trends amongst these various sects:

?(1) There were those who accepted the death of Hasan al-Askari as a fact, and accepted also the fact that he left no offspring. To them Imamah had thus come to an end, just like Nubuwwah came to an end with the death of Rasoolullaah (s.a.w.s) . However, there were some amongst them who kept hoping for the advent of a new Imam.

?(2) The second trend was one to which the student of the history of ?succession to the Imamah? would be much more used to. This was the tendency to deny the death of Hasan al-Askari, and to claim that he would return in the future to establish justice upon earth. We have seen this tendency emerge amongst the Shi?ah at more than one critical juncture in the history of the Imamah of the Shi?ah; it is therefore only logical to expect it to resurface at a moment as critical as the death of Hasan al-Askari.

?(3) The third trend was to extend the chain of Imamah to Hasan?s brother Jaa?far.

?(4) The fourth trend was the claim that Hasan al-Askari did in fact have a son. It is the fourth trend which ultimately became the view of the dominant group in Shi'aism.

?The missing son

?This trend was spearheaded by persons who had set themselves up as the representatives of the Imam, and who were in control of a network covering various parts of the Islamic empire? a network for the purpose of collecting money in the name of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt.

?All followers of the Imams were obliged to pay one fifth of their (annual surplus) income to the representatives of the Imams. (This is a practice which continues up to today.) At the head of this network was a man called Uthmaan ibn Sa?id al-?Amri. His manner of resolving the predicament was unique: Hasan al-Askari was dead, he admitted, but he was not childless. He had a 4-year old son, Muhammad, with whom no one but he? Uthmaan ibn Sa?id? could have contact. And from that point onwards he would act as the representative (wakeel) of the Hidden Imam and collect money in his name.

?To the fact that Hasan al-Askari?s own family were completely ignorant of the existence of any child of his, and that his estate had been divided between his brother Jaa?far and his mother, Uthman ibn Sa?id and his ilk responded by denouncing Jaa?far as al-Kadhdhab (the Liar).

?In due time a fantastic story was brought into circulation about the union between Hasan al-Askari and a Roman slave-girl, who is variously named as Narjis, Sawsan or Mulaykah. She is mentioned as having been the daughter of Yusha? (Joshua), the Roman emperor, who is a direct descendant of the apostle Simon Peter. But history shows that there never was a Roman emperor of that name. The Roman emperor of the time was Basil I, and neither he nor any other emperor is known to have descended from Peter. The story goes on to tell of her capture by the Muslim army, how she eventually came to be sold to Hasan al-Askari, and of her supernatural pregnancy and the secret birth of the son of whom no one? aside from Uthman ibn Sa?id and his clique? knew anything. Everything about the child is enveloped in a thick and impenetrable cloud of mystery.

?The four representatives

?Uthman ibn Sa?id remained the ?representative of the Hidden Imam? for a number of years. In all that time he was the only link the Shi?ah had with their Imam. During that time he supplied the Shi'ite community with tawqi?at, or written communications, which he claimed was written to them by the Hidden Imam. Many of these communications, which are still preserved in books like at-Tusi?s Kitab al-Ghaybah, had to do with denouncing other claimants to the position of representatives, who had come to realise exactly how lucrative a position Uthmaan ibn Sa?id had created for himself. The Shi'ite literature dealing with Uthmaan ibn Sa?id?s tenure as representative is replete with references to money collected from the Shi'ite public.

?When Uthmaan ibn Sa?id died, his son Abu Jaa?far Muhammad produced a written communication from the Hidden Imam in which he himself is appointed the second representative, a position which he held for about 50 years. He too, like his father, had to deal with several rival claimants to his position, but the tawqi?at which he regularly produced to denounce them and reinforce his own position ensured the removal of such obstacles and the continuation of support from a credulous Shi'ite public.

?He was followed in this position by Abul Qasim ibn Rawh an-Nawbakhti, a scion of the powerful and influential Nawbakhti family of Baghdad. Before succeeding Muhammad ibn Uthmaan, Abul Qasim an-Nawbakhti was his chief aide in the collection of the one-fifth taxes from the Shi?ah. Like his two predecessors, he too had to deal with rival claimants, one of whom, Muhammad ibn Ali ash-Shalmaghani used to be an accomplice of his. He is reported in Abu Jaa?far at-Tusi?s book Kitab al-Ghaybah as having stated: ?We knew exactly what we were into with Abul Qasim ibn Rawh. We used to fight like dogs over this matter (of being representative).?

?When Abul Qasim an-Nawbakhti died in 326 AH he bequeathed the position of representative to Abul Hasan as-Samarri. Where the first three representatives were shrewd manipulators, Abul Hasan as-Samarri proved to be a more conscientious person. During his three years as representative there was a sudden drop in tawqi?at. Upon his deathbed he was asked who his successor would be, and answered that Allah would Himself fulfill the matter. Could this perhaps be seen as a refusal on his part to perpetuate a hoax that has gone on for too long? He also produced a tawqi? in which the Imam declares that from that day till the day of his reappearance he will never again be seen, and that anyone who claims to see him in that time is a liar.

Thus, after more or less 70 years, the last ?door of contact? with the Hidden Imam closed. The Shi?ah term this period, in which there was contact with their Hidden Imam through his representatives-cum-tax-collectors, the Lesser Occultation (al-Ghaybah as-Sughra), and the period from the death of the last representative onwards the Greater Occultation (al-Ghaybah al-Kubar). The Greater Occultation has already continued for over a thousand years.

?Activities of the representatives

?When one reads the classical literature of the Shi?ah in which the activities of the four representatives are outlined, one is struck by the constantly recurring theme of money. They are almost always mentioned in connection with receiving and collecting ?the Imam?s money? (from) his loyal Shi'ite followers. There is a shocking lack of any activities of an academic or spiritual nature. Not a single one of the four is credited with having compiled any book, despite the fact that they were in exclusive communion with the last of the Imams, the sole repository of the legacy of Rasoolullaah sallallahu ?alayhi wasallam.

?When we look at the major sources upon which the Shi'ite faith is based, we find that most of them were written after the onset of the Greater Occultation. Those works, like al-Kafi, which was written during the latter decades of the Lesser Occultation, contain scarcely a reference to any of the four representatives as narrators from the Hidden Imam. Instead it is filled with thousands of reports which go back, via other channels, to the fifth and the sixth Imams. That is indeed strange, considering the fact that a man like Uthmaan ibn Sa?id al-?Amri is claimed to have been closely associated with the 10th, the 11th as well as the hidden 12th Imam, and also the fact that his son remained the Shi'ite community?s solitary link to that Imam for half a century. Would it not have been better and more authoritative for an author like al-Kulayni to report the hadith of his Imams from the Hidden Imam via his representatives who lived in Baghdad at the same time as he rather than to trace it all back to the fifth and sixth Imams through a myriad of doubtful channels?

?But of course, he could not have done that, because the activities of those representatives did not have as much to do with authentically preserving the legacy of the Ahl al-Bayt as with the collection of wealth in their names.

?In light of the fact that the Shi?ah explain the necessity of Imamah in terms of the need for an infallible guide who serves as the repository of the legacy of Ahl al-Bayt, it appears extremely incongruous that this particular guide has left no sort of legacy of his own whereby the legacy of the Ahl al-Bayt can be known. Despite the fact that an infallible guide supposedly exists, it is upon fallible persons such as Muhammad ibn Ya?qub al-Kulayni that the Shi?ah must depend for that legacy.

?The only bit of information that has come down to us regarding the Hidden Imam?s authentication of the hadith legacy of the Shi?ah is what is recorded by Aqa Muhammad Baqir Khwansari in his book Rawdat al-Jannat. He writes that al-Kulayni?s book was presented to the Hidden Imam who looked at it and declared, ?Hadha Kaafin li-Shi?atina? (This is enough for our Shi?ah). This is incidentally how the book received its name.

?A report such as this creates a huge problem. It appears to be a ratification of the contents of the book al-KAAFI by the infallible Imam. Yet, 9 centuries later the Shi'ite muhaddith, Mulla Muhammad Baqir Majlisi, would declare in his commentary on al-Kafi, named Mir?at al-?Uqul, that 9,485 out of the 16,121 narrations in al-Kafi are unreliable. What did Majlisi know that the infallible Imam was so unaware of that he would authenticate a book, 60% of whose contents would later be discovered to be unreliable?

?Evaluation

?The Iraqi Shi'ah scholar, Muhammad Baqir as-Sadr, finds proof for the existence of the Hidden Mahdi in what he calls ?the experience of a community?. The existence of the Hidden Imam, he postulates, was experienced by the Shi'ite community as a whole in the written communications that the representatives used supplied them with (used to supply them with).

?The crux of this argument lies in the fact that an individual experience might be doubted, but never that of experience of an entire community. However, the glaring flaw in this line of reasoning is that it very conveniently overlooks the part of the representatives as the individual go-betweens.

The community never had the privilege of seeing or meeting the person they believed to be the author of the tawqi?at. Their experience was limited to receiving what the representatives produced. Even the argument of a consistent handwriting in all the various tawqi?at is at best melancholy. There is no way one can get away from the fact that the existence of the Hidden Imam rests upon nothing other than acceptance of the words of the representatives,??
 http://www.al-hewar.com/eng/showpost.php?p=7039&postcount=15

While the Shia sources suggest to us that Al-Mahdi went into hiding because of the too much oppression that existed at his time to the extent that he did not even want his name to be mentioned, the same sources would tell us that the Hiding Imam will only reappear when there is too much oppression on the land ? What a contradiction?!!! What oppression could be more than the one that sent him into hiding in the first place?

How foolish were the people in government at the time of the hiding al-Mahdi that while searching for al-Mahdi, they allow his representatives to move freely on the land and to gather money for him without arresting them to get to the purported Mahdi?

If the Sunna of the purported Mahdi is to hide, why have his followers chosen to live their lives outside caves in defiance of this Sunna of hiding?

Therefore, we have to admit that there is no human being by name MUHAMMAD HASSAN AL-ASKARI. It was a fabrication meant to deceive and enslave people.

Islam / THESE ARE THE FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS FOR A HUMAN BEING
« on: May 14, 2006, 11:40:53 PM »
THE PILLARS OF FAITH

SELF-AWARENESS

Think about yourself; your history and what you are doing presently. Project yourself into future and imagine what you could become ? this is self-awareness ? a special endowment.

Every human being enters into this world without knowing anything about himself. Learning begins in this world.

As a child, every human being develops the concept of self. The learning (upon which this concept is based) is not done attentively.

At adulthood, a person begins for the first time to discover himself. This is the time that we talk of actual self-awareness.

At this stage, a person who does not know what he does and why he is doing it is but a fool. An adult is expected to be in charge of himself.

As an adult, a person is blessed with the rational sense (al-Aql) by which he discerns Truth from Falsehood. He is also blessed with accumulation of facts which he gathered throughout the period of childhood and he is still gathering.

Am adult is expected to use his Aql to extract meanings out of the facts. This is how an adult becomes wise and grows in the world of awareness.

?He it is Who created you from dust, then from a drop (of seed) then from a clot, then brought you forth as a child, then (ordained) that you attain full strength and afterward that you become old men though some among you die before; and that ye reach an appointed term, that haply you may use your Aql.?

Self-awareness therefore, is the first and the central pillar that an adult has to erect in his life. There is no how an adult can learn wisdom without self-awareness. How can a person know God and yet he is not aware of himself? What will that God be? Whosoever knows himself indeed has known his Lord.

KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Every human being (by nature) is created to believe in a god. There is no creature of love and memory that does not build his life into a hierarchy of beliefs and values. God is the name given to anything that has the highest value in a person?s life.

A person can not do but to learn. As he is learning, he can not do but to attach values to somethings in exclusion of others. The things he value are not without basis. The basis (whatever it is) is the one referred to as god. Therefore, every human being compulsorily has at least a god.

Al-Islam does not preach that there is god because there is no need for that. What al-Islam preaches is monotheism - that there is just a God instead of gods; otherwise, that there is just a nature.

The god of a person determines the shape of his life. The adoration shown to the god (which is also a natural process) is known as worship. Every human being worships at least a god.

Monotheism is to understand and be convinced that there is just a single Lord behind all the creatures and activities in life. There is just a NATURE/LAW/MEANING in life. We acknowledge this pretty well in science though we pretend to be ignorant sometimes. Learning, without this acknowledgement, would not have been a possibility.

The universal law of existence must be complete enough to take care of the hierarchy of creation if not; there will be the need for a parallel law.

When there is a parallel law to the first law, there will be two independent lines of existence. That might have been an indication that there are two sources of existence or two 'gods.'  There is no evidence for this.

The wise God would not have reason to create two parallel laws. In that case, all the laws are based on a single mother law of existence.

Because of the orderliness in existence, it has become unavoidable to run into the organisational structures and the complexities as we find them today.

Instead of the billions of organised cells in the body, God could have made the body just a single entity that do not need the integration of components. That would have called for a parallel law in existence.

Since there must be no parallel law, here we are with all the structures and the complexities as found today.

There is truth and there is conduct that is in conformity with the Universal law ? such is the right conduct. Indecency is injustice or a deviation from the truth.

A Monotheist does not give regard, love or obey anything that is not in line with the Truth.

A Monotheist understands that God (the only Lord) is absolutely Aware, Wise, Just and Powerful. A Monotheist therefore go after God as the absolute TRUTH and does not give regard to anything that stands on his way (be it his lower desires or other creatures).

A Monotheist only knows and gives allegiance to God as against the selfish and rebellious governments in the world today. Whosoever does not judge by what God has revealed (and he is aware) is indeed a rebel.

The Sunnis and Shias announce loudly in their Call to Prayer daily that they do not recognize any authority but God and also say in their prayers 5 times a day that they worship and seek help from God alone whereas they continue in their practical life to be part and parcel of nationalist governments. What a joke!

Shariati laments:
We see that the teaching of monotheism ends in the schools of the traditional centers of learning and, if, after this, any mention is made of it, it is discussed only in the groups of Divine sages and spiritual Gnostics and that, in the form of words, philosophical and subjective conversations removed from life and alien to the people; the emphasis is more upon proving the existence of God and not monotheism. In practical terms, ?Monotheism means nothing. It is a subject which has been solved,? and solved at the command of the enemy, or, at least, to his benefit! Hajj by Ali Shariati p. 4

COMMUNICATION WITH THE LORD

A Monotheist knows and understands that the Wise Lord can not leave him without guidance - so, he seeks for His guidance.

It is in this search of a Monotheist that he comes across or hears of people who claim to have brought or are preaching the messages of God. Those people are known generally as the prophets of God. A prophet is a person appointed by God to promulgate His messages to the servants.

The duty of the prophets (being human beings themselves) is to advice their people against superstitions and unscientific approach to life and invite them to the use of their INTERNAL GUIDE (AL-AQL) that is embedded in every adult among them.

A prophet does not come with any new reality rather he explains the existing reality which everyone can verify and confirm by his brain.

A prophet does not impose explanation or acceptance on anyone; everyone has the choice to disregard the prophets but then the consequence of the other side of the stick. Anyone who picks up a stick has consequently picked up the two sides of it.

A prophet is an extra favour from the Wise Lord to the servants.

When people accept a prophet and they become a community, the prophet becomes the leader of the community. Leadership is human control and coordination of activities of two or more people that are relating and their interaction needs coordination. Where there is no interaction, there is no leadership.

While every just person is a guide, not all just people are prophets.

A Monotheist, knowing the justice of God, understands pretty well that the Lord would not leave any community without at least a guide. There is no moment in life of which there is not at least a guide. It is left for whoever is thirsty to discover where the water is.

God sent his prophets with messages for humankind when they were living in villages and were quite far from each other. To believe in all the previous prophets is to believe in the justice of God and to understand that the line of message had remained the same throughout history.

It must be understood at this juncture that by prophets, I am only referring to the true prophets. They all preached the same message which is: no servitude to anyone but the TRUTH.

Now that the world is one, God sent Muhammad with a complete and protected message.

It is because the message is protected from adulteration unlike the previous books and it is because it is meant for all humankind that there is no need for any prophet again - Muhammad was the last prophet of God.

Al-Qur?an therefore, is the prophet of all human beings for all time.

A prophet was either sent in the past to bring the message of God or to clarify the message where it had been adulterated. There is no need now for a messenger or a prophet because al-Qur?an is enough. The holy prophet lived his life according to the Qur?an and warned that everything must be judged according to al-Qur?an alone.

There are permanent values and principles in life that are not subject to space and time. God enumerated them in Al-Qur?an. They are the bases of Jurisprudence.

There are issues that can only be determined or are conditioned by circumstances; God gives discretion to human beings in such issues though under the fundamental principles.

HEREAFTER

A Monotheist knows and understands that life without Hereafter is totally meaningless. A drama that does not end up in a complete cycle of desire and satisfaction is meaningless therefore the drama in life can not be terminated abruptly.

If everything in life is meaningful as we inherently believe, we must of necessity understand that life as a whole is meaningful. What meaning can we see in life if there is no continuation to Hereafter?

To regard anything as meaningful, it must make a complete cycle of desire - satisfaction. It must be a complete event.

Therefore, the fundamental beliefs after SELF-AWARENESS are:  MONOTHEISM; THE MESSAGE; HEREAFTER.

The belief in the message necessitates the belief in the Messengers (Angels and Men) and necessitates the belief in the Apostles generally because they all preached the same message.

CONCLUSION

The fundamental beliefs which every Muslim must have from Adam down to the end of time have been mentioned in the Qur?an in Suratul-Baqara verses 1-5

This is the Writing; in it is guidance sure without doubt to those who are serious and vigilant.

Those who believe in the Unseen and are steadfast in prayer and spend out of what We have provided for them.

And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee and sent before your time and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter.

They are on (true) guidance from their Lord and it is these who will prosper.[/color

The Sunnis belief in ?predestination of good and evil? is totally irrational if the meaning negates free-will and negates the absolute justice of God. God could not have compelled a person to do a thing and then punish the person for it.

The Shias belief in 12 designated persons (Imamate) to run the affairs of the world till the end of time is irrational and unrealistic. It suffices that there is no 12th Imam as the eleventh Imam died without a son.

To claim that God guided previous generations of Muslims with physical and apparent beings but decided to live the present generations without such guide(s) creates huge logical problem and puts the justice of God to question.

If right from the time of Adam, people have had complete faith yet without the doctrine of Imamate, what will make it a condition of faith at this present time and what would that mean?

Those 11 Imams might be good people and the leaders of their time. While there is much wisdom to be learnt from them and from the prophets, they can not be our practical Imams in our present life. They are the community that have gone ? for them is what they use to do and for us is what we do and we shall not be questioned concerning what they did. (Q2:134)

In matter of legislation, Al-Qur?an is the only book of authority. The Qur?an has been revealed so that we can use our Aql to comprehend. (Q12:2) Al-Hadith, like any other collection, can be approached for the sake of wisdom and not instruction.

The Sunnah of the prophet is the meaning and wisdom in his life and not the actual practical activities. The Sunnah of the prophet is no doubt al-Qur?an. Aisha (the mother of the Mumineen) reportedly confirmed this when she was questioned concerning the character of the prophet

A community is born around a leader. A Muttaqi is alone until he finds a person whom he understands to be better than him in seriousness and carefulness (at-Taqwa) ? he joins him and takes him as a leader ? there is no compulsion in belief - no body would be called to account for what he did not understand.

The belief that there is a hidden leader (Imam) for over 1000 years who is not available to provide practical leadership is totally irrational and the story is not substantiated by credible and logical evidences. For the details, refer to the article ? IMAM AL-MAHDI - A FICTION OR A REALITY - http://forums.shiasource.com/board/index.php?showtopic=1856

Therefore, the fundamental beliefs after SELF-AWARENESS are:  MONOTHEISM; THE MESSAGE (AL-QUR?AN); HEREAFTER.

The belief in the message necessitates the belief in the Messengers (Angels and Men) and necessitates the belief in the Apostles generally because they all preached the same message.

That is the Qur?an (no doubt) a guide for those who are serious.

Muslims are the best community raised up for mankind not because they bear the name nor that they were born into Islamic culture but because they are wise and have sense of direction in their life. This must be practically seen to be so ? it is not a mere claim.

The condition is very clear; they enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency out of their belief in Allah.

What is right conduct and what is indecency?

There is certainly a universal law and nature. Life has a meaning. Learning, without this acknowledgement, would not have been a possibility.

The universal law of existence must be complete enough to take care of the hierarchy of creation if not; there will be the need for a parallel law.

When there is a parallel law to the first law, there will be two independent lines of existence. That may be an indication that there are two sources for existence or two 'gods.'

The wise God would not have reason to create two parallel laws. In that case, all the laws are based on a single mother law of existence.

Because of the orderliness in existence, it has become unavoidable to run into the organisational structures and the complexities as we find them today.

Instead of the billions of organised cells in the body, Allah could have made the body just a single entity that do not need the integration of components. That would have called for a parallel law in existence.

Since there must be no parallel law, here we are with all the structures and the complexities as found today.

Therefore, there is truth and there is conduct that is in conformity with the Universal law ? such is the right conduct. Indecency is injustice or a deviation from the truth.

Human beings generally are biased except those who have control over themselves and are able to regulate their desires.

Regulation of self in tune with the truth can only be accomplished when there is firm belief in the truth. Allah is the absolute truth.

A Muslim is either in charge of himself or he is under a community that has a just leader.

The goal of life is to train the heart to become just.

THE UNIVERSE AND THE HEART

Human beings are conscious creature ? by consciousness, we learn and gain acquaintance with the Universe.

Our learning is motivated by urges emanating from the Heart and terminated by satisfaction that emanates from the same heart.

The Universe (by our definition here) is all the objects and forces in existence ? there is just a Universe in this sense.

We entered into the world when we did not know anything conscious-wise.

We learn and know by our senses and the brain.

Whatever we can claim to know of the universe is actually the stimulation of a small portion of our brain. Conscious speaking, we are no more than our brains.

The senses (our only accesses to the universe) are connected to the brain where the inputs are analysed. The analysis in the Brain is pre-determined.

The senses do not transfer the physical universe into the brain ? the senses are stimulated and they in turn stimulate the specified regions in the brain.

Therefore, when we talk of learning, we are talking of stimulation of some regions in our brain.

To make it clearer, the senses do not necessarily differ in the message they carry nor do they actually differ in the stimulation they give to the brain ? it is either stimulation or no stimulation at all. The difference between one sensation and the other may only be in the destination and the sequence.

It is essential to mention that the portion of our brain that gives us the sense of light is itself immune from light.

If (in the brain) the optical nerves are interchanged with the auditory nerves, the result would be that in response to sound, we see flashes of light and vice versa.

We do not know except what we are pre-determined to know and that much in our brain.

The motivation as we have observed above is the Heart which is likewise the target.

The Mind is the centre where they all come to meet. The mind is the very consciousness.

We entered into the world with our mind but without anything we can regard as awareness ? we did not know anything.

Soon we began to learn and today we can boast of awareness.

The Universe (as we have come to name the presumed physical objects and forces) is what we presumably learn. The brain is the means of such learning.

The mind is consciousness and the heart is both the motivating force and the goal of the learning.

A human being does not engage in any conscious activity until there is an urge and he does not stop over the particular activity until there is satisfaction hence the cycle of desire ? satisfaction.

All our so-called learning is contained in the cycle of desire and satisfaction.

In our conventional education system, we have fields of study.

Let us assume that PHYSICS is the name given to studies conducted at sub-atomic level. For the time being, we will consider it as the most fundamental studies conducted by human beings.

All other things therefore, are based on Physics. We can use physics to explain every other thing but there is nothing we can use to explain physics except physics itself.

At atomic level, we begin to talk of CHEMISTRY as the name given to our studies of the interaction between atoms. Chemistry therefore, can be explained by Physics and by chemistry itself.

To this juncture, we have finished with dead matter.

When we come up to living matter, we begin to use words like BIOLOGY to represent the studies conducted on living things. Biology can be completely analysed chemically and by physics.

At the level of conscious living things, we enter into the realm of PYSCHOLOGY.

Psychology is the study of the mind and as such can be analysed biologically, chemically and by physics.

Human beings are not just objects among the objects of life ? human beings are actors and therefore are responsible for changes in activities.

It would not be overstatement to say that without human beings and the jinns there would be no changes in existence ? God apart.

The only force (the fundamental force) responsible for all the changes in existence is what is vaguely understood as the WILL-POWER.

Life is the only force acting directly on Matter.

Will-Power (as a force) acts through the mind on a living brain which acts presumably on matter.

The HEART (as the focus of learning) is analysed psychologically, biologically, chemically and by Physics.

The study of the heart (what to desire and why) is regarded as VERTICAL learning while all other studies which are merely meant to gratify our desires are known as HORIZONTAL learning.

Al-Islam is the study and guide of the heart and al-Islam therefore is analysed psychologically, biologically, chemically and by Physics.

The Heart, unlike the mind or living brain, is the focus of all the studies and therefore can only be studied for the sake of itself.

For every individual or the leadership of any relationship, the heart is the directing force ? nothing can be understood perfectly well or utilized justly while the heart is unjust.

Education is corrupt today because the leadership is corrupt. There is intentional spread of misinformation for unjust and irrational interests of the leaders.

Without at-Taqwa, Education can not be protected from manipulation likewise the utilisation of it.

An individual as well as the leader of a relationship must either be just or must strive to belong to a community that has a Just Leader.

Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea on account of human activities (what they did by their hand), that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may return.
(Q30:41)

Corruption is caused by an unjust heart. Human beings have been unjust to themselves and consequently to all other things.

Al-Islam, as we can see is not a subject to be studied along with other subjects ? al-Islam is the directing force for all other studies. We engage in all other studies in order to understand and build the heart.

It is misleading and highly unfortunate that in some so-called Islamic nations, you find Universities meant for all studies along with Theological schools meant specifically for the study of al-Islam.

Al-Islam, instead of being studied in Theological schools, is studied in all the pure, social and applied sciences. Law is only part of this arrangement.

The language of al-Qur?an is knowledge of Psychology.

Arabic as a human language is highly inadequate to convey the message of Allah. No wonder, if the Oceans were to become ink and a person is to explain the words of Allah (in any human language), soon would the oceans become dry and yet the explanation is not completed even if the oceans were to be replaced.

Al-Islam is experienced as a Muslim moves up vertically in life and therefore the Qur?an is understood more and more.

Our approach to learning has been highly erroneous and we have wasted so much time and effort.

We begin our studies from the leaves of tree instead of the root. No wonder the numerous theories and the inconclusive researches.

The analogy is like someone conducting a research to know the position of the sun at a particular time in various countries.

While this scientific researcher may finally resolve the problem by visiting all the countries to see for himself the position of the sun and to later use his clock and calculator to make the necessary deductions, his answer may not be as accurate if he had rather studied the movement of earth and then determine the positions of the counties vis-?-vis the sun.

Instead of uncovering the formula of life, we are busy making unnecessary voyages.

Human relationship is the love interaction that exists among human beings. This is to be contrasted with the interaction that is purely based on needs.

Islam / LEAVING AL-ISLAM (Ar-Rida)
« on: March 26, 2006, 07:04:46 PM »
Allah, in the Qur?an, made it explicitly clear that there is no compulsion in the religion. Allah says in (Q2:256):

?There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejects false deities and believes in Allah has grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower.?

Allah went further and talked about those who believe and then disbelieve and talked about those who left the religion without mentioning anything like to kill them; how come the SUNNIS and the SHIAS are killing those who leave the religion?

What would Allah want by keeping a person in al-Islam by force? Are the Sunnis and Shias not nurturing hypocrisy by this act?

Let it be known that there can be no compulsion in al-Islam. This is a statement of fact.

Allah says in (Q5:54):

?O ye who believe! if any from among you turn back (do Rida) from his faith soon will Allah produce a people whom He will love as they will love Him; lowly with the believers mighty against the rejecters; fighting in the way of Allah and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the Grace of Allah which He will bestow on whom He pleases: and Allah encompasses all and He knows all things. "[/color]

And Allah says in (Q4:137):

?Those who believe then reject faith then believe (again) and (again) reject faith and go on increasing in unbelief Allah will not forgive them nor guide them on the way. ?

And He says in (Q9:84):

?And do not pray for any of them that dies or stand at his grave: for they rejected Allah and His apostle and died in a state of perverse rebellion.?

Can anyone claim after this that Allah is not aware that there are people who would leave their religion? When did the prophet become a partner to Allah in His affairs that a saying would be falsely attributed to him?

This is what Ali is reported to have said in sermon 18 of the famous Nahjul-Balagha:

?When a problem is put before anyone of them (theologians) he passes judgment on it from his imagination. When exactly the same problem is placed before another of them he passes an opposite verdict. Then these judges go to the chief who had appointed them and he confirms all the verdicts, although their Allah is One (and the same), their Prophet is one (and the same), their Book (the Qur'an) is one (and the same)

Is it that Allah ordered them to differ and they obeyed Him? Or He prohibited them from it but they disobeyed Him? Or (is it that) Allah sent an incomplete Faith (Religion) and sought their help to complete it? Or they are His partners in the affairs, so that it is their share of duty to pronounce and He has to agree? Or is it that Allah the Glorified sent a perfect faith but the Prophet fell short of conveying it and handing it over (to the people)? The fact is that Allah the Glorified says:

?We have not neglected anything in the Book (Q6:38) And (said that) in it is explanation for everything (Q16:89).

Allah says that one part of the Qur'an verifies another part and that there is no divergence in it as He says:

?And if it had been from any other then Allah, they would surely have found in it much discrepancy. (Q4:82)?
Sermon 18 of Nahjul Balagha.

There is difference between a person who is engaged in waging war against al-Islam and another person who left al-Islam quietly. When a person fights against al-Islam and the Muslims, he is fought back on the basis of his fighting and not on the basis that he used to be a Muslim. This is a general rule that is applicable to all regardless of a person?s ideology.

The irony of it all is that the Sunnis and the Shias believe that al-Islam is inherited. They believe that a person born to a Muslim father is automatically a Muslim and therefore can not leave al-Islam at any time.

The truth of the matter is that al-Islam is not inherited. A person can only choose to become a Muslim at adulthood. Children born to Muslims are treated as Muslims legally and not that they are ideologically Muslims.

Islam / AWARENESS VERSUS TRADITIONALISM
« on: March 22, 2006, 07:30:26 PM »
A human being is a creature that learns and applies the learning to situations. Basically, we are talking here of KNOWLEDGE and ACTIVITIES.

In order to enhance the ease and swiftness by which we learn and respond to situations, Allah blessed us with BELIEFS and HABITS.

Our knowledge is automatically arranged into Beliefs while our activities are organized into Habits. This is our nature.

When we come to the Community level, the collective habits are referred to as CULTURE and TRADITIONS.

Because of this our nature, we can now engage in various activities simultaneously without any hitch and can boast of being specialists in various fields of learning.

When a person does anything repeatedly, the mind is conditioned. It then becomes possible for the mind to respond with such act without much ATTENTION. This is how one is able to drive and engage in discussion.

In your speech, you only intend and you find yourself saying the right thing. In driving, a person crosses the road and you find your leg on the break.

This far, Habit is good and very useful.

The DISADVANTAGE of Habit however, is that it soon turns meaningful activities into mere ?forms?.

AL-IBAADAH is a collection of activities which are intended to create in us some impressions so that we remain vigilant of our DECISION (Al-Iman) and move steadily towards actualizing it.

The tendency, as anyone should expect, is that the activities are turned into habits, culture and traditions. When this happens, the activities cease to create the impressions they are designed to create; they loose their meanings. They become mere forms, culture, rituals?

Allah says: ?Woe onto those who pray but are unmindful of their prayers.?

It is for this reason that INTENTION otherwise AWARENESS is a compulsory condition in any Ibaadah. Any activity that is done without the intended awareness is useless and unacceptable and can not be regarded as al-Ibaadah.

Therefore, for a MUTTAQI to remain vigilant, he has to fight against habit (in al-Ibaadah). This is how al-Islam is AWARENESS and not TRADITION.

Islam / THE ONLY TWO COMMUNITIES ON EARTH
« on: March 16, 2006, 01:55:30 PM »
IN THE NAME OF GOD THE GRACIOUS THE MERCIFUL

Human beings are social creatures because they love and they are loved.

When two or more people interact on the basis of love, they are said to be in relationship and hence a community.

Allah did not send a community to earth but two communities: the community of Allah and the other community.

Allah sent Adam as the head of His community and sent Iblis as the head of the other community. These two communities co-exist on earth as enemies (not friends) and the two communities would live until the end of time. Allah is sustaining Iblis.

Since none of the community can completely eliminate the other, one community would have to dominate over the other. The fight is an everlasting one.

In Allah?s community, there is one goal and one interest. Love in Allah?s community is based on Allah and this is the only genuine love on earth. Members of this community fight against their irrational desires. They are honest and straightforward and do not need to manoeuvre each other. MEMBERSHIP TO THIS COMMUNITY IS BASED ON AWARENESS AND CHOICE (NOT TRADITION).

In Iblis community, love is based on selfish interests. There is no true love, no common goal and no common interest.

The world was once a single village, it became villages and thanks to Technology, it is becoming a village again.

The Earth is covered mostly by water. The continental area?all land rising above sea level?amounts to about 29% of the total area. It is on this land that about 6 billion people live and build their houses.

Iblis and his men have been very active in this world. They mostly dominate the affairs of the world and set up one government after the other as they compete among themselves. It has all along been competition based on blind desires and interests and it has always been Might that determines Right.

The masses were always at the cross road and they have all along been manoeuvred for the benefit of the powerful.

The government of the world Kufr is based on dictatorship by the so called Elites because it is the nature of human beings. Anyone who has the opportunity would want to become god.

Democracy is a clever dictatorship in contrast to the crude one. The masses are made to believe that they are participating. Mental enslavement is worse than physical enslavement.

The people of the world are divided into Nations with seemingly independent governments. The United States of America is the richest and the most powerful of all the nations. The masses of U.S.A. are held hostage by some powerful elites under the guise of freedom.

As usual, the goal is to completely dominate over the world until no other god is worshipped. Pharaoh wanted to kill God for the same reason.

Al-Islam which proclaims a supreme Lord and recognises just that Lord is the greatest obstacle on their way. The rest is what you see.

Would the Muslims who live in an entire different community accept the lordship of the enemies or chose to be defiant? Would they still hold on to their belief that Allah is al-Qadir (All-Powerful) and on Him alone is reliance? Only time can tell.

This is the test for which we live on this earth.

I am glad to say it clearly that I have made my choice. I stand firmly in the community of Allah. I would be waiting to see who my brothers and sisters are.

Islam / AL-ISLAM VERSUS RITUALISM
« on: March 13, 2006, 12:49:24 PM »
IN THE NAME OF ALLAH THE MOST MERCIFUL

Al-Islam is the natural, rational and upright way of life. This is the claim and the challenge put forward by al-Islam that anyone who thinks otherwise should come with an alternative.

Human being is a reality and life is as well a reality. A Human being lives a life based on his understanding of it. Every human being wants to live a happy life. A happy life is a harmonious life - a life of conformity to the actual reality of life.

"To unravel as far as possible that design underlying the universe and to attempt to live in accordance with it, is for man the noblest goal to which he can commit his energies." The Gifts of life & love by Ben Zion

Therefore, can a natural and rational way of living as explained above be equated with RELIGION? On the other hand, is al-Islam a religion?

Language is one of the best gifts by which human beings excel other animals; nonetheless, the same language could become very dangerous when it is not used carefully.

What notions do we have in the world today when we use the words ?Religion?, ?Worship?, ?Ritual?, and ?Rites?? This is what matters.

While Encarta Dictionary would conveniently define Religion as ?Beliefs and Worship or people?s beliefs and opinions concerning the existence, nature, and worship of a deity or deities, and divine involvement in the universe and human life?, the word ?Worship? remains ambiguous.

If ?Worship? is to be defined as just intense love then al-Islam fits into the definition of religion above. This is because life generally, is built on beliefs and worship. Naturally and compulsorily, a human being builds his understanding of life into beliefs and compulsorily, the beliefs result into love and worship.

However, the truth of the matter is that our notion of Religion is different. This is how Encarta Encyclopedia defines our true notion of religion.

?The word religion is derived from the Latin noun religio, which denotes both earnest observance of ritual obligations and an inward spirit of reverence. In modern usage, religion covers a wide spectrum of meanings that reflect the enormous variety of ways the term can be interpreted. At one extreme, many committed believers recognize only their own tradition as a religion, understanding expressions such as worship and prayer to refer exclusively to the practices of their tradition. Although many believers stop short of claiming an exclusive status for their tradition, they may nevertheless use vague or idealizing terms in defining religion?for example, ?true love of God,? or ?the path of enlightenment.? At the other extreme, religion may be equated with ignorance, fanaticism, or wishful thinking.

By defining religion as a sacred engagement with what is taken to be a spiritual reality, it is possible to consider the importance of religion in human life without making claims about what it really is or ought to be. Religion is not an object with a single, fixed meaning, or even a zone with clear boundaries. It is an aspect of human experience that may intersect, incorporate, or transcend other aspects of life and society. Such a definition avoids the drawbacks of limiting the investigation of religion to Western or biblical categories such as monotheism (belief in one god only) or to church structure, which are not universal. For example, in tribal societies, religion?unlike the Christian church?usually is not a separate institution but pervades the whole of public and private life. In Buddhism, gods are not as central as the idea of a Buddha (fully enlightened human being). In many traditional cultures the idea of a sacred cosmic order is the most prominent religious belief. Because of this variety, some scholars prefer to use a general term such as the sacred to designate the common foundation of religious life.

Religion in this understanding includes a complex of activities that cannot be reduced to any single aspect of human experience. It is a part of individual life but also of group dynamics. Religion includes patterns of behavior but also patterns of language and thought. It is sometimes a highly organized institution that sets itself apart from a culture, and it is sometimes an integral part of a culture. Religious experience may be expressed in visual symbols, dance and performance, elaborate philosophical systems, legendary and imaginative stories, formal ceremonies, meditative techniques, and detailed rules of ethical conduct and law. Each of these elements assumes innumerable cultural forms. In some ways there are as many forms of religious expression as there are human cultural environments.?

Based on this definition, it is better to regard al-Islam as a way of life rather than a religion to avoid confusion of notions. The importance of this will become clearer when we look into the definition of ?Ritual?

Ritual, according to Encarta Encyclopedia, is ceremonial or symbolic act given importance by repetition. Rituals often accompany rites of passage and religious observances.

Rite: a solemn and ceremonial act or procedure that follows the rule customary to a community, especially a religious group (often used in the plural)

Mysticism: the belief that personal communication or union with the divine is achieved through intuition, faith, ecstasy, or sudden insight rather than through rational thought
Microsoft? Encarta? Reference Library 2003. ? 1993-2002 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

While Ritual and Rites may go very well with the definition of Religion, it is totally irrational when brought into the realm of al-Islam.

Al-Islam is a practical reality that is set to evolve the correct beliefs in the heart based on the apparent material world. Al-Islam has nothing to do completely with Mysticism.

If a normal person does not regard maintenance of Hygiene and Sanitation as rituals, why would the emphasis placed on cleanliness by Allah and His Prophets be regarded or turned into ritual? This is what Encarta Encyclopedia says concerning bathing.

?Bathing has been part of religious practice as ritual purification since early times. It is still important among Hindus and Muslims. The mikvah in Orthodox Judaism and baptism in Christianity are derived from ritual bathing. Bathing has also been considered important to health and comfort in some societies, notably those of the ancient Greeks and Romans and those of the West in modern times. Bathing may also have a social function, as in ancient times and in Turkey, Iran, and Japan.?

Would there probably be any reason while Allah would request that we do anything except for the practical, material and rational purpose of it?

We must not fail to understand that human mind can only perceive the material world and that the brain can only analyse the material world. It is based on the analyses that beliefs are formed upon which the Heart reacts with love. This is the way (sunnah) of Allah which can neither be modified nor negated. There is no belief and a human being cannot form any belief that does not have a material origin.

It is unfortunate that the Jews, Christians, Sunnis and the Shias have turned the ?Deen? of Allah into rituals and therefore become cut away from the reality of life. It is not surprising therefore to see these ?RITUALISTS? practicing the ?Deen? as part of their life.

The Prophets (a.s.) thought them cleanliness so as to maintain their health; they mystified and turned it into superstition and mysticism.

The Prophets (a.s.) thought them ?as-Salaat? so as to maintain their vigilance and remain focused in life; they turned it into rituals and mystical dancing and singing even though they have been warned in the Book. That is how they observe the ?Salaat? but they are unmindful of it.

The Prophets (a.s.) thought them ?az-Zakaat? as a sort of self-sacrifice but again, it is given a mystical face.

The Prophets (a.s.) thought them ?as-Sawm? so as to practice self-restraint but it has become spiritual hunger experience.

The Prophet (a.s.) thought them ?al-Hajj? as a way of social-gathering to look back into history, understand their position and plan against the future but it has been turned into mere RITES.

No wonder, they neglected ?Self-Assessment? and only read the Qur'an for reward.

What a ?Deen? but What a People!

Islam / PRACTISING OR LIVING IN AL-ISLAM
« on: March 07, 2006, 12:26:34 PM »
If we take Al-Islam as a house, those who practice Al-Islam come to the house to pick something to apply in their life while those who live in Al-Islam live in the house.

Those who practice Al-Islam quote the sources in Al-Islam a lot while those who live in Al-Islam express Al-Islam in their practical life.

Those who live in Al-Islam are divided into ranks while those who practice Al-Islam are divided into sects.

A practicing Muslim carries Al-Islam as luggage or companion in journey and applies it anywhere he finds himself in life while a living Muslim is carried about by Al-Islam.

How does one stay outside Al-Islam and be deliberating or analyzing the teachings of al-Islam instead of entering into it to realize the practical reality of it?

To those practicing Al-Islam, it is 'What' that matters while for those living Al-Islam it is 'Why'.

While those practicing al-Islam take heavenly reward as the purpose of all their Islamic activities, a living Muslim seeks the reason for every activity. How would Allah command a person to do what he can not understand the meaning (wisdom) yet it is the nature of the heart to seek for it?

Those practicing Al-Islam are mostly traditionalists as they are cut away from the meanings and reality of life while those living in al-Islam are alive.

Practicing Al-Islam is 'shirk' and Ibrahim (عليه السلام) was not a Mushrik.

The best that practice of Al-Islam can offer is Ritual while living in Al-Islam is awareness.

A Muslim lives in al-Islam (not outside).

A Muslim adopts all Islam (not part). A person may be a sinner (like a nationalist that sins against the nation) but he or she remains actively a Muslim.

Muslims are rated in rank according to the level of at-Taqwa and not the percentage of adoption of al-Islam.

A person either adopts full al-Islam or he is a Mushrik.

Ayatullah Khamanai says:
?As regards religious thought, it is an urgent necessity to propound Islam as an ideology which benefits both integrative and consistent principles and sees to men?s social life as well.

?Before this, Islamic studies were mostly devoid of these two important characteristics. Hence, in comparing Islam with other schools of thought and ideologies of our time, these studies couldn?t lead the researchers to a fruitful conclusion and a crucial judgment. It means they have neither been able to show the integrity and uniformity of Islam as a whole; nor been able to define its relation to other schools of thought.

Furthermore, these studies have not considered the practical aspects of life and especially social influences. They have mainly been abstract rather than concrete. Hence, the result has been nothing more than an abstract knowledge. Regarding men?s social life, the structure of society, responsibility and duty, these studies have not offered any clear and special proposition.?

Islam / SAVE YOURSELF FROM THE IDOLS OF TODAY
« on: February 28, 2006, 03:55:52 PM »
SAVE YOURSELF FROM ENSLAVEMENT
THE IDOLS ? HUMAN LORDS

A mentally enslaved person is of consequence a slave physically. This is the worst thing that could happen to a human being - death is by far better.

FREEDOM
A human being has a body and the soul. While the purpose of life is to uplift the soul at individual?s level of understanding, the body is the physical object by which we interact and manifest our wishes. We definitely have differences in body and environment but not in the soul.
All human beings are created free. All human beings are identical in matter of soul; there is no even gender difference in matter of soul.

The leader is in no way better than the ordinary person on the street nor is the Imam/Pastor better than the ordinary follower. A person of a particular race is not better than a person of another race nor is a person living in a big city better than a person living in a remote village.

A human being is either a child or an adult. All adults are independent human beings.

Every adult lives for his or her heart. Every adult must not engage in anything until he or she can trace the benefit of that thing to his or her heart if not it will be exploitation.

As it is completely prohibited for an adult to have pride so it is completely prohibited to have inferiority complex. A human being is a human being; we all belong to the same club.

When a baby is born and the umbilical cord is cut, the first out of the three ropes of dependence has indeed been cut. The baby henceforth is no more part of the mother?s body but a separate entity. The baby now gets its food through the mouth and takes in air from the raw earth. There are still two more ropes to be cut later in life.

The baby would now have to grow to become physically and mentally fit to face the challenges of life. An adult is an independent human being in matter of mind.

When a person becomes fit mentally to face life by himself, God the Almighty cuts the second umbilical cord ? the new adult is henceforth responsible for the procurement of his needs and security. If his life would be sweet or bitter, it would now depend on how he utilises his God-given brain and mind. A person up till this point has become an adult though not all adults are human beings ? some adults are worse than beasts.

The first umbilical cord was cut by human beings while the second one was by God. The third and the determining rope in life can only be cut by an individual himself. It is for every individual to decide to become or not to become a human being. We all have identical opportunities with respect to this choice. The goal of life is to become a human being.

What distinguishes an adult from all other creatures of God is nothing but the brain. It is by the brain that we are in charge and manipulating all other creatures. Lions are physically more powerful than us but by our brain they are in our zoos. Elephants are by far bigger than us but today we have them in our zoos. We break mountains and construct skyscrapers ? thanks to the brain. You think you are small and inside you is the universe.

Some people due to their laziness and evil tendencies have refused to regulate their hearts and are therefore wild in their search for love and security ? they have chosen to disregard the rights and respect of other human fellows.

When God sent us to earth, He sent us as individuals and he would raise us up on that great Day of Judgment to face our individual accounts. No soul bears the load of another soul. God has no relative and therefore no one is nearer to God by virtue of creation. Jesus and Muhammad (God?s blessings be on them all) were human beings like us ? they were not special creatures. God is absolutely just.

God sent down His Books so that He can communicate directly with His servants. The goal of communication is to create understanding/awareness.

God is not wicked as to make his communication very difficult for comprehension nor is a human being so stupid as not to understand the simple statements of the Wise Lord.

When the Qur?an was revealed to Muhammad, he was instructed to leave the words of God exactly the way it was communicated to him so that anyone reading the Qur?an today is like Muhammad receiving the message directly from God. There is no intermediary between anyone and God in matter of worship.

The Qur?an is the only authentic book of facts that anyone can rely on. It is from God who has perfect and encompassing knowledge. Sciences may be updated but Al-Qur?an is all truth. Al-Qur?an is in total conformity with the reality of life and it is addressed to human brain.

The Qur?an put it forward to human beings not to accept what they can not understand by their brain. Faith is by conviction and no person will be punished for what he did not know convincingly. Muhammad himself challenged his opponents to bring forth what was more of truth that he would accept.

Therefore, anybody that refuses to use his brain is nothing but a fool; anyone that allows himself to be manipulated is nothing but a slave. A human being is a king that relates with other kings and queens on equal terms. The clear instruction from God is: ? DO NOT OPPRESS AND DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE OPPRESSED.
The declaration that there is no lord but the Just God is what makes a person a human being.

The motivating factor in life is no doubt survival and happiness. Every human being struggles for happiness. For an adult, life is to acquire practical and permanent happiness.

The devilish politicians who have refused to correct their hearts are here today thinking they know why the heavens and the earth are created.

They are the ones that have set up one idol or the other to enslave other human beings while we have all been created to be independent of any human lord.

Rebellion against God has been the single and persistent problem that all prophets were sent to come and resolve. Muhammad happened to be the last in the chain of prophets. All prophets were sent to awaken human beings to the use of their brains and thereby save them from mental enslavement.

While other prophets were sent to specific people, Muhammad was sent to the entire humankind and therefore he came with the Universal Book that is to last for all time.

The message of all the prophets is very clear ? Shun all idols and surrender only to the authority of The Almighty God.

Any independent/free human being is a Muslim. A person that is truly free of all human lords and is not a slave to his desires is definitely a Muslim regardless of what he may call himself. This is just a name to identify the true free-thinkers.

"Say: "O people of the book! Come to a common term between us and you: that we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not from among ourselves lords and patrons other than God." If then they turn back say: "bear witness that we are Muslims"

A Muslim is nothing but a Muslim. He searches and abides by the truth alone. A Muslim is any true scientist in both his vertical and horizontal aspects of life. A Muslim is a person that recognizes and obeys no authority but God. The name given to such a person by God is MUSLIM and the way of life is AL-ISLAM

The vertical aspect of life is our learning into the meaning/purpose of life (what to desire). The horizontal aspect is the gratification of our desires.

While a Muslim has no right to force anyone into his own way of life, no one has the right to force him into his political arrangement.

A Muslim is not a Chinese/Japanese/English person though he may be speaking the language and his parents might have come from the particular region.

A Muslim is not a Nigerian/American/Arab though he might be living in the particular region presently.

A Muslim is not a Shia/Sunni/Christian/Jew/Hindu. These are names that have been created to keep people away from God.

It is only the devilish politicians that have emphasized ethnicity/nationality for their devilish ends.

It is the devilish politicians that always set one race/nation against the other. It is these human devils that have always set the so-called Muslims against the Christians. The same devils created a political system they called apartheid in South Africa and the same devils are now in Iraq enforcing their wishes on others.

They rule by setting one group against the other; by creating social classes; by creating idols.

All human beings are selfish and anyone who has the chance would want to become god in exception of those that have completely surrendered themselves to the only LORD and look onto the HEREAFTER.

There are those who have openly declared that they have no business with God and are therefore running their affairs without involving God in their decisions ? they call it secular system. These people sincerely declare their rebellion.

The other group of people is rather hypocritical. They claim to be serving God but the reality is that they have set themselves up as the intermediaries to God. They are worshipped instead of God. They come under the name of religions and spiritual cults.

Sunnism, Shiism, Christianity, Hinduism are not different from Secularism. They are all devised by the Satans to lead people away from al-Islam.

Upon all that Moses did for the Israelites, how many people believed in him while he was alive? But today the enemies have invented ?TALMUD? to deter people away from the teachings of Moses.

Jesus at his time could barely count up to 12 Muslims. Alas! The devils have today turned him into an Idol after corrupting the Gospel. See how the corrupted Gospel is failing the test of Science and making many to become sceptics of religion!

The architects of Sunnism and Shiism (religions of the so-called Muslims) attempted to adulterate the Qur?an but failed so they invented their own Talmud (AL-HADITH) to replace the Qur?an. They turned Muhammad into an Idol. Muhammad who was to be a model to humankind (a genuine Muslim) is now looked upon by those so-called Muslims as a partner to God. As soon as they made Muhammad special he ceased to be a model ? the very reason why an Angel was not sent in the first place.

It is not a coincidence that the Sunnis and the Shias derive their laws from al-Hadith instead of the Qur?an. How many are their judgements that are in clear contrast to the Qur?an! It is not that the devils are not fully aware that the book of God is complete in Truth and Justice and that nothing has been left out. How many so-called Muslims today are enslaved in these human invented religions!

As observed by Karl Max - Religion (in the above sense) is no doubt opium for the masses.

It is through the Hadith that the Sunnis and Shias are today stoning people to death and have made it impossible for anyone to leave their prisons. It is in the same Hadith that they have turned their slaves into robots.

They prevented the non-Muslims from reading the Qur?an (which is sent for all humankind) because they say the non-Muslims are not pure. They prevented the Muslims from studying the Qur?an because (according to them) they are so stupid that they can hardly understand anything by their brains. They need the help of the Spiritualists who supposedly have special contact with God ? the enslavement.

In Q56:79, God only warns that a person has to be objective in mind to understand Him but they misinterpreted the verse for their devilish goals.

If the non-Muslims can not read the Qur?an and the Muslims can not understand it then who is the Qur?an meant for? How much I pray for the day these people study al-Qur'an as a guide in their practical life instead of mere recitation for reward?

Yes! Human religions, nationalism, and the physical symbols are among the idols of today. The idols that Abraham broke and Muhammad tried to remove from Makkah. Muhammad was not fighting against mere stones and carved wood! Both Abraham and Muhammad were fighting against mental enslavement ? the lords behind the idols ? the politicians of today.

What is Nigeria that a person has to pledge to serve with all his strength and to die for? Did anything called Nigeria know how humankind was created? Where has God gone that a person has to serve human illusions?

Know that these are people that have rebelled against the Lord who created and is sustaining them. They are the rebels that have rebelled against their own NATURE. They are responsible for all the evils on earth. They will not stop at anything to enslave you. They have no any respect for your human dignity.

Who is ready to become a Muslim and he is my brother or she is my sister; these are my only loved ones on earth. Where are the ?born again? for truly they are the free human beings?

"Certainly those who say their Lord is one and are firm ? they have nothing to fear nor do they have any cause to grieve."

In a Muslims community, it is not might that rules but the truth. A Muslim community is a relationship between Kings and Queens. God is our home. The enemies have no true home so they can never give you any.

Let us come together to collectively search for the truth and follow it. The Mind is too fertile that a person must either cultivate it himself or the devilish politicians take over.

We are living in an age where so many machines have been invented to assist us in carrying out tasks that would have ordinarily proven very difficult or even impossible.

In the technological drive, we have come to the point where we now confidently guarantee the users of the machines full satisfaction from the usage.

What do we really mean when we talk of full satisfaction concerning a machine?

There is no doubt that the usage of the machine would have to be taken into consideration - the machine must be made to satisfy the user in his or her needs of it.

The other important thing (to be considered) is the guide to the usage ? what is the use of an excellent machine of which the user does not know how to use it?

Therefore, every machine comes with a booklet where all the guidelines necessary for the successful usage of the machine are enumerated in a very simple and easy to understand form.

Our point of reference in this analogy is the booklet.

It is normal and if you like, a common sense, that the booklet enumerates all the intended functions of the machine as well as give all the necessary information as to the usage.

While the book does not have to contain the technical information to make it a complete guide, it has to give some suggestions as to what to do or who to refer to in case of technical faults.

Therefore, a booklet accompanying a machine must (of necessity) be satisfactory in guiding to the usage of the machine. In another word, the book must explain everything ? that is, nothing must be left out concerning the successful usage of the machine.

Allah, the Almighty, created humankind with a lot of parts and gave him a heart as the focus of all the other parts. All other things are created as tools so as to make the heart usable just like all the electronics components in a Calculator are put there for the successful usage of the Calculator in solving practical problems. One may never have to know those components and how they work.

Allah sent a Book (the Qur'an) which explains the functions of the heart and guides to the successful usage of it.

The point here is that Allah who has an encompassing knowledge and is absolutely perfect can not be expected to perform less than a maker of a machine. Therefore, we should (of necessity) expect that everything that would be needed to be known with regards to the functions of the heart as well as the guide to the usage are completely stated in the Qur'an.

Allah says ? the Book is an explanation for everything (Q16:89) and says that nothing has been left out (Q6:3. The Qur'an explains everything about the heart and everything about the usage and building of it. Allah does not look at your body or your wealth but the Heart.

This does not mean that the Book contains all the physiological information of the body and all the information about physical matter. The Qur'an urges us to make research or to refer to those that have made the research.

This does not mean also that a person can not uncover the underlying details of the inner working of the body and the physical matter by following the lead in the Qur'an ? it is only that the information is not as evident as the information with regards to the usage of the heart and it would not have been expected anyway.

If we have understood that the task ahead of us is the building of the Heart and we have equally understood that nothing has been left out with regards to that in the Qur'an, what then is the role of al-Hadith?

A genuine Hadith (if found), can only serve as an extra explanation for the Qur'an ? there is no scientific way yet to get to a genuine hadith apart from the ones recorded in the Qur?an. What we have presently are mere conjectures. This does not mean that none of the conjectures is useful. The Qur?an and al-Aql remain the yardsticks for judging all sayings including those conjectures. The word of wisdom remains valid regardless of the author.

The Prophet was guided by the Qur'an and al-Qur'an alone. The Qur'an is the only Imam and the only Legislator. The same Qur?an nonetheless, gives authority to human leadership as long as it is in line with the Qur'an. Obey the Prophet is a delegated authority and it extends to all Leaders at their specific time. There is no obedience to disobedience of Allah.

In a Muslim life, Allah is the only Lord. All human beings are servants of Allah and no human being has the right to become lord or servant of anyone. As it is forbidden to have Pride, so it is forbidden to have inferiority complex. As it is haram to oppress, so it is haram to allow oneself to be oppressed. Mental servitude or slavery is completely prohibited in al-Islam.

Everyone is a king and a direct deputy of Allah on earth and so Allah directly talks to an individual. In al-Ibaadah, which is our interaction with the Lord, human beings are completely independent of each other. There is no intermediary between anyone and Allah. In the same way that Allah talked to Muhammad, so Allah talks to every individual. That is why the words of Allah are left intact in the Qur'an.

Therefore, the Qur'an is the strong rope which connects a servant directly to Allah. It is the Hujjah and the Aql that is outside a person.

As a person must never allow his Aql to be taken away from him, so he must never allow the Qur'an to be taken away from him.

The Idea that one cannot understand al-Islam by al-Aql is a plot devised by the enemies of Allah to enslave humankind. The brain is the greatest asset a human being possesses by which he identifies Allah and surrenders to Him. Therefore, the attempt to take it away is the worst crime against humanity.

The idea that no one can understand the Qur'an except through al-Hadith is another plot by the enemies of Allah to steal the Qur'an from the Muslims so that they become easy prey for enslavement. Allah has said that the Book is easy for understanding as we should have expected naturally. (Q54:17)

How would Allah direct us to ponder over the Qur?an and He is aware that we can not understand? How would He say that the Book is simple and clear for understanding and the case is different? Who is the liar? Far is Allah from lie.

The story is that the enemies (as usual) tried to adulterate the Qur'an (like they did to the previous Books) but without success. They therefore invented al-Hadith and placed it above the Qur'an. It is not a coincidence that the laws of both the Sunnis and Shias are based on al-Hadith instead of the Qur'an. For instance, Allah only makes four types of food ?haram? and stresses it in several places of the Qur'an but through al-Hadith, illegal legislation is made concerning it and both the Sunnis and the Shias today follow the illegal legislation in opposition to the Qur'an. Refer to ?Who made Halal food Haram?? later in this book

A Muslim first refers to al-Qur'an for guidance then any other source of wisdom where he may need further clarification.

Allah says (in Q2:173): ?He hath ONLY forbidden you dead meat and blood and the flesh of swine and that on which any other name hath been invoked besides that of Allah but if one is forced by necessity without willful disobedience nor transgressing due limits then is he guiltless. For Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful.?

I must make it clear here that as Prophet Israel () had the right to legislate for himself within the legislation of Allah, a Muslim can decide to take or not to take what is considered Halal for eating (as it is not Wajib) and a leader may even extend it to the family and to the community but no one has the right to make it a universal legislation because it will be against the legislation of Allah.

If Allah did not talk about something in the Qur'an, it is not that He forgot - instead, it indicates that we are free to choose what we consider the best.

While the Prophet or Leader of the community can make temporary legislations, none among human being including the Prophet has the right to make any permanent legislation in those areas left by Allah. Remember that Allah does not need a partner. The Haram and Halal of Allah remain permanent till the last day.

The Ulama (the Muttaqun Leaders) are the Inheritors of the Prophet in matter of leadership and interpretation of the Qur'an. They are the extension of prophethood in those areas while the Qur'an is the everlasting revelation.

This is how Ayatullah Khamenei saw it in 1974:

?Another point is that in many cases, the Qur'an, the decisive and undoubted document of Islam, has not been able to play an elucidative role in man?s life. Instead, suspicious narrations and traditions have been more reliable and dominating. Thus, the religious beliefs have developed regardless of the Qur'an.

Because of this lack of relation and attention - which are themselves the effects of some particular factors ? scrutinizing the verses of the Qur'an has given way to superficial and perfunctory reading. Such fruitless reading, heedless of mundane reward, was only for the sake of other worldly reward. In this way the honourable Qur'an has become a means of demagogy in the hands of common people.? ? The General pattern of Islamic Thought in the Qur'an -P. 14

Ali Shariati laments:

Monotheism: We see that the teaching of monotheism ends in the schools of the ?traditional centers of learning? and, if, after this, any mention is made of it, it is discussed only in the groups of Divine sages and spiritual Gnostics and that, in the form of words, philosophical and subjective conversations removed from life and alien to the people; the emphasis is more upon proving the existence of God and not monotheism. In practical terms, ?Monotheism means nothing. It is a subject which has been solved,? and solved at the command of the enemy, or, at least, to his benefit!

---

And, they achieve all of these with a single policy: A policy which took the ?Book of Supplications? from the cemetery to the city and the Holy Qur?an, from life and the city, to the cemetery where it was offered to the spirits of the dead; taking the Holy Qur?an from their hands, it placed books on the ?Science of Principles? at the disposal of the students of Islamic Science in the ?traditional centers of religious learning?, (and) put the Holy Qur?an on the shelf of their room. It is obvious that when the Qur?an not only deserts the life of the Muslim people but Islam as well, everything becomes possible in its absence, and we see that everything has been done!

---

The course that our enemy has chosen for our humiliation is the best guide for us to choose as the way to our glory: Returning from the same way that he has led us. Bringing back the Qur?an from the cemetery to the city and its recitation (from now on) for the living! Bringing down the Qur?an from the shelf and opening it for our lessons.

They were not able to destroy the Qur?an so they closed it instead, and made ?the Book?, a ?holy object?. We should once again turn it into ?the Book? and read it, for the word Qur?an means just this.

Will the day come when we see the Qur?an has been accepted as a textbook in the Islamic programs of our ?traditional centers of religious training??

Will the day come when we see the Qur?an must also be studied by students of religious jurisprudence as a religious textbook for achieving the level of ijtihad, that is, the level achieved after putting forth great endeavors in striving to understand religious issues?

If we bring back the Qur?an to our life and religion, then it will bring back monotheism to us as a world-view. Monotheism hajj, jihad, imamate, martyrdom and anticipation will again find their life-spirit and we, also, our own spirit and life.
