MOTHER

When silence overtakes the birds
I hear your cradle song,
When darkness magnifies my fears
I make my nest in your purity.

I return mother, I return,
To your tent I?d always come,
I am the son grown on your milk
And the man living on your love.

Since I am not good at poet, allow me to infringe on the copyrights
of Fulanipoet, one of our lost member.

For a very long time, i wanted to initiate a thread solely dedicated
to MOTHER.  This is to show my respect, love, obedience and above
all follwership to all mothers.

I used to recall with nostalgia while playing with my mates at the
playground and suddenly someone throw a stone and it hits my
forehead, before you know it, blood covered all my face.

Maman DB my co-friends shouted, calling my mum to the
scene.  I can vividly recall how she become disturbed and confused
on seeing me.  She took me on her back without bothering to wear
shoes or head scarf and she head straight to a nearby community
clinic were I was dressed up and taken care of.

Each time we sat with Mama, I use to recall how she suffered because
of me.  I can also recall when my mum was pursuing my transfer
certificate from Brig. Maimalari School in Maiduguri to Pilot Junior
Sec. School in Bauchi, on her way from Maiduguri to Bauchi she
encountered a dangerous accident and sustain 2 fractures on her left
arm, she was admitted at the Bauchi General Hospital for three months.
The Driver use to tell me that your mother loves you, because she was
unconcious but still shouts that her son's transfer letter is inside the
car that they should bring it out - the car summersoulted 3x.

I can also recall how my mother suffered when I was involved in some
nasty controversial issue (i wont go into details) and we were held up
for questioning at the police station.  The first person to come was
hajiya, i dont even know who told her, there was no GSM those days.

I dont know how to write poem, so i copied this poem as follows:-

Mom, you're a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I belong.

You're patient when I'm foolish;
You give guidance when I ask;
It seems you can do most anything;
You're the master of every task.

You're a dependable source of comfort;
You're my cushion when I fall.
You help in times of trouble;
You support me whenever I call.

I love you more than I can express;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!

DB Supplicates to all Mothers:

So, fellow forumites, lets hear your views and prayers on

I'm sorry to say, but fulanipoet had an accident about a couple of years back, she is still recovering and doing well at the moment, but it'll take a while before she shows up here I think. But I'm sure she has been writing, and she will resurface with amazing words Insha Allah. I just feel it.

I'm writing my own poem about mothers, i may bring it here sometime, when it is finished...hopefully.

Allah ya bata sauki, and as for our mothers, may Allah elevate them to the most exalted places in aljannah, ameen
