Hmmn this ur questions nwah! Wolf i dont think it has a name in Hausa may be because it is not habitant of our region. I believe Hausa-man will call it "Karen-dawa" meaning wild-dog. There are many dog-like animals which dont have names in hausa but can only be refer to as dogs. e.g. Jackal, Coyote and even polar-bear. Imagine if there are no Hyenas in our region they will be refer to as 'Kare' too, instead of 'Kura'. Look at the two names I think there is similarity (kare, Kura). A male hyena is call "Kure" in hausa which is more similar to "Kare"

Can I add something to your comment Myself? I dont mean u r wrong but i think jarumi doesnt have to be a courageous individual who fights for a good couse. He can be from the bad side too.
