Hey brothers, sisters, uncles, mums and dads,
we shouldnt be left out here at kanoonline, I
am calling on all members, both active and non
active, super powers and the powerless, the
kings and queens to make it online on the
World Aids Day i.e. Saturday 1st Dec. 2007
and prefarably if convenient to all members
exactly 12:00 noon nigerian time.

Our purpose is to share our stories and prayers
over the diseases who have created so much
havoc on our friends, families, neighbours and
so many other people out there.

We will all assemble here @ Kanoonline and make
our posts online.

Please dont forget to put it as top priority in your
organiser with a powerful alarm to remind you
of that day.

Our proposed theme is "Discover the realities of
HIV in Nigeria and how you can make a difference"

Today the world over marks the Aids Day
and Kanoonline will not be an exception to
this important date, that is why i keep on
reminding my fellow forumites of this date.

Six years ago, a very close neighbour died,
it was later confirmed that he died of HIV
AIDs.  Two years later, a friend who we
know each other at the University also died
of HIV/AIDS.

8 months ago, a close sister who is married
was confirmed HIV positive with her husband.

Yesterday it was somewhere, tomorrow and
today its coming nearer to you.  I believe
through extensive awareness we can curb the
menace of this deadly diseases in our midst.

Uptil now in my Local Government home town
which is 100 kilometres from Maiduguri, people
are still asking questions whether this so called
HIV virus and disease is real?  this applies to
so many rural areas especially in the north.  So
those of us who a little bit aware should start
an extensive and vigorous campaign and
enlightenment on the menace of hiv/aids.

Those of our dear brothers who died of this virus
I pray may Allah Grant them eternal peace,
forgiveness and the garden of Eden.

For those who are currently infected, I implore
you to be strong and steadfast, be your self
and carry on with your normal activities while
taking the advantage of the newly discovered
drugs which is being distributed on a meagre
amount of money.  I know quite a number of
people who have been themselves and living a
normal life, we love you all.

Finally to those who are tested negative or sure
of their status, take care ooooo, zip up ooooo
abstain oooooo, dont come near that thing
and dont bring disaster to your wife/husband.

I leave you in peace, until 1st December, 2009.
