Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever unintentionally vomits while he is fasting is not required to perform an expiation, but if he vomits on purpose then he must perform an expiation.”

Source: Sunan Abu Dawud 2380

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ذَرَعَهُ قَيْءٌ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ قَضَاءٌ وَإِنْ اسْتَقَاءَ فَلْيَقْضِ
