UUUUmmmmm! This is an interesting topic and the title so catchy and crushing! Well, I think we all have our various little love secrets. Honestly and sincerely speaking mine would be so embarassing and might be repelling to those with jelly hearts! I will rather be musing over it alone till death! Is it true that love is only experienced once? As for secret crush, is it possible for one to fall in love or have a "crush" on someone, who, due to some sort of closeness or injunctions, one cannot marry? :o

Goga, DBN and ofcourse, Husna, what do you say?

Don't have much to say about crush, and as U already said, primary school crush is nothing but childish, will be funny though....
So just bring it on, primary, secondary, Uni or within family, all sort welcome........ Including that within the k/onliners family.

1st October 1965
I have been lucky to be included among the students
to witness the Independence celebration at Lagos from
North Eastern States.

During our rehersal there is this Yoruba girl her name was
Yemisi, it still rang bells in my head, very fresh in memory,
though I was still young at that time, but i can differentiate
between beautiful and ugly, i confess she is one of those
models.

For the 3 days rehersal I have been eyeing her...........

Now that the bigger guys have started to open up, I will consider you for one of my secret crushes. It was so lovely, such a feeling, i will never forget!!! You see it was in the primary school days in class five. One day we went out for PE and we all formed a circle with some of the pupils running around the circle. When the teacher blows his whistle you stop abruptly and climb on top of the person you stopped right behind him after the whistle was blown. There was this girl named munatu who has been at the bottom of my heart since we were in class two. Even after closing school I used to pass by their family house just in case I will catch a glimpse of her outside. I used to feel terribly bad when on such occassions I failed to have a glimpse of her and with frustration, I will return home, until in the morning at school when I will have my dose of glimpses!

So back to the PE of that day, my idol munatu, after the whistle was blown by teacher found herself just behind me and before you could say "haba"! she was on top of my back. Up to this day she doesn't know of the intensity of the refreshing, cool, adorable and enchanting feeling I had for her!.....wai, wai, wai. Danborno, nima zan amsa waya!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

It is sometimes better to just have an unrequited crush on somebody than to ever make out with them. The crush remains sweet with you forever.

One day our class bully decided to make her cry, i got so angry and i decided to play Van Dame. So I climbed on the bench and jumped on the bully, but i landed with a punched in my eye, i went to the side and began crying and she was consoling me...lol!!!

That was my first n last crush cos i grew up after that, didnt allow myself to hav another one, it ll b unwise to, letting go wasnt nice, especially at that age!

I don't think you can decide to have crush or not. It happens and you can't do anything about it.
It's what you do about it is the interesting thing - especially if the crush is illicit. I had such a thing and it was really hot and really illicit. I had a wife and two children. The object of the crush was the head girl at the college and I was still a young man. It was mutual which made it very difficult.
I fought the temptations and managed to avoid the pitfalls.
Why did I do so?
Was it because I had a wife and family? Maybe.
Was it because as a teacher in womens' college I was in a position of trust? Maybe.
Was it because I realised that every girl in the college would soon know if we got it together and I would lose all respect which I couldn't afford as I was Vice Principal? Maybe.
Was it because I realised that the object of my crush probably entertained expectations of what a relationship between us would give her, expectations that I would not be able to fulfil without throwing the rest of my life aside? Probably.
Looking back now, wondering where that lady is now, I have great regrets that nothing happened between us.
Should I have regrets?

OK since we are at the confessional (is the cubicle secured tightly? no ear but the priest's to listen to my illicit outpourings?)
here goes:
I once had a massive and I mean MASSIVE heart attack over a guy at my college. My heart would go boom boom boom (as Peter Gabriel would say!), when ever I saw him approaching  ;D. He was quite good looking, extremely intelligent (he made 11 O levels with As and Bs only), and extremely nice as a person. He was reading chemistry physics and statistics, so we only met at chemistry class, but often times went out to the canteen for lunch and tea breaks sometimes just the two of us and other times as  a group of ppl. I managed to keep my crush top secret. I do believe it would have developed into a mutual relationship had I let it, but I was so afraid of being found out!  I had  a mental chastity belt tied round me all the time in the form of this harridan who was my guardian at the time and she was so anti the other gender that if she saw a pr of dragon flies mating on TV, she'd shout "switch the channel!" It was that bad. worse than big brother's watching u! I always felt her down my neck at ALL occasions. So u c I COULDNT afford to let it be known at home that I was on the verge of having a BF. And so it began at college and ended at college. Ever since then, I have been slightly partial to blond guys... with grey eyes.

This is interesting,

Those who want to hear about love stories and crushes can view these threads:

QuoteIt is one afternoon like that, the great gal of the dreams is having her birthday. She came earlier and reminded me in her own casual way, and I, am full of the required muscles-except perhaps financial- to see that I please her on the milestone of her life.

My Goddess, is the title of the poem I'm holding in a high capacity diskette looking for a business center, where better colored printers that can bring the most in the life represented on the image that forms the background of the poem are. My printer failed me earlier in the morning and there is no light everywhere at the moment, and I am short of money, not quite sure whether those business centers with power generators will agree to do the printing for me with the meager amount of money I am carrying. ?And upon all, the goddess is ?coming at 2 pm to take the present. It is 1:30pm now.

I'm moving around in the campus. If I should get ?a business center, will it have a gen? If it has, will it have a high powered printer? If it has , can my purse or rather wallet accommodates the cost of the printing without emptying or even pursuing the wallet with ?debts? ?

Here I am at the pharmaceutical sciences faculty, where a good business center is operating smoothly. ?The manager or is it the manageress of the center - a middle aged woman enough to be my mother- is there standing , speaking or rather sparking on one of ?her employed. I move in with my ?slender carriage, a very young man, HANDsome? LEGsome?, with a suave and innocent disposition.

and here for the continuation:

Assalamu alaikum,
Between 1998 to early 2000 while I was doing a program in a Uni- there was this Sister, who is fond of wearing her Niqab, the veil covers all her face, her Hijab is also complete and she is Modest. This pious sister melts many hearts. She never allowed jeers or negative comments from people to stop her from her Islamic dressing and appearance. In fact, her answers are always, salaam, salaam, salaam.... This is in accordance with a verse describing believers in Suratul Furqan of the Glorious Qur'an were Allah (SWT) says....... " The (faithful) Slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth moderately, and when the foolish ones address them answer: peace." Q25: 63)

Being a part time student, who spent very little time in the Campus I was never opportuned to say Salaamu alaikum to this Sister, although I had wished.

Those who studied in ATBU around that period perhaps noted this sister and had this secret crush also. May Allah (SWT) guide us onto His rightous path all.

Oya, gogannaka tell us about Jos and BUK.... Nura has many to tell I wonder why he is keeping mute.

No pls!! NO NO NO.. Love the present one! It has intinsic shock values u know.. very  unique very bold and daring and well I'm kinda getting used to it and actually LIKING it! its so stimulating just to LOOK at it. I guess that is what artists try to do with their work and this artist who ever he was, has succeeded.
The avatar reminds me of Browning's Poem 'my last duchess' only this one is 'the ugly duchess'  ;D ;D ;D

Below is abinda na kwakulo on the internet about yr apparently famous 'ugly duchess'
Massys is one of the most important portraitists of the age, thanks above all to his pictures of Erasmus and Pierre Gilles (Petrus Aegidius), the town clerk of Antwerp. His most astonishing work in this genre is certainly the Grotesque Old Woman, in the National Gallery in London. (This picture is also known as The Ugly Duchess, because Sir John Tenniel was later to use it in his illustrations for Alice in Wonderland.)

Massys based his own picture on a caricature by Leonardo da Vinci. He was also influenced, according to Panofsky, by his friend Erasmus's book In Praise of Folly, in which the author describes old mad women who "still play the coquette", "cannot tear themselves away from their mirrors", and "do not hesitate to exhibit their repulsive withered breasts'. The effects of the huge ears, wrinkles, and ape-like face, are merely emphasized by the ridiculous hat. The sitter is made even more repugnant by the rich jewels she wears and the indiscretion of her low-cut dress. This picture is a prodigious exercise in the grotesque, in which Massys proves himself not only an astute critic of human vanity, but a worthy precursor of Goya and Picasso.

During our rehersal there is this Yoruba girl her name was
Yemisi, it still rang bells in my head, very fresh in memory,
though I was still young at that time, but i can differentiate
between beautiful and ugly, i confess she is one of those
models.

For the 3 days rehersal I have been eyeing her...........

let me answer this call, will be with you soon  8)

It took me weeks to prepare this season of my secret crush,
it is dated to 1989 @ Bauchi town, these girls were both twins
and in the same class, they wore the same dress everyday.
Whenever black is beauty is mentioned, these twins keep on
flashing on my brain, because they are real black beauty models.

I dont differentiate between Hassana & Hussaina, each time one
of them took an excuse to be out of the class I follow suite
but amma ina, babu lever na magana.  Abin haushi, each time mun

U mean a celebrity having a crush on another celebrity or an ordinary person having a crush on a celebrity? They are both real I guess. The latter crush has the tendency to last longer than the the former though.

Hmmm! well well, this thread has gone far without me confessing my secret crushes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and that the thread took us to calling on our lady to brought her former Avarter which i supported.

when i was in JS 2, there is this extremely preety girl in my Makarantar Allo, named sadiya. i have an equal extreme feelings about her such that when i was in the shed reading my slate i must make sure am catching a glimpse of her no matter how little. At times i used to be lucky to teach her some verses of the qur'an, if that happened i will be so delighted that she suspects my looks. i always leave my brothers to follow through her street in case i will be lucky to meet on her way to the islamiyya school, and if that happened i will try passing her such that she will see me. whenever i tried approaching her i will felt depressed and my heart beat will increased, some times i will felt feverish. But at the moment when i gathered my lever to talk to her, imet the shocker that they relocated to Abuja.i felt terrably depressed and bad. she is  such a girl whose feelings i stil nurtures. :'(

Malam Mahmoon in a stylish presentation took a chronological
order to his story which starts all the way from childhood,
narrating with nostalgia how they both end the day at the
play ground with the one he so much cherished.

Abruptly, Mahmoon brought a life picture, describing how
matured his queen had become over the years, with so many
lovers parading for her.  However, the writer tried to deliver
a message to his readers  on the reasons he thinks he cant
continue with the 'love story' where he narrated that he is
afraid of her other lovers, who are far above him in riches
while he is a damn church rat.  At last, he accepted defeat
as he can not fight back, but instead, he rekindles his love
life by marrying another "madadinki" in lieu of her.

Malam was trying to divert his attention from his former lover
as he narrated how he was happy when his son graduated,
how his daughter got married and in fact he begat a grand
daughter who has been his source of happiness all these years.

At last, he still loves his former girlfriend, "An ce soyayyar
kuruciya bata karko" childhood friendship never stays long
it so happens because that is the first step you take into
the affairs.  He still claims he loves her, he wont dislike or
hate her just because she didnt marry him, that is the will
of Allah.

So many people have similar experience in life, they never
marry their first lovers, and not because they dont love each
other.

I think most crushes are of a serious nature, since it occupies the mind for days on end. Childhood crushes are easier to handle because they are a thing of the past and sometimes we just laugh them off as silly behavior, especially when we still see those ppl we had crushes on and we wondered how on earth we ever did so in the first place.

Recent crushes? They are more uncomfortable to discuss. Sometimes when u have a thing for someone, the last thing u want is for anyone to find out. You want to keep it to urself, otherwise if u are found out two things are involved (IBB take note) ;D. U are either ridiculed by yr mates/ friends, or even the person whom u have the crush on, or if the person u have the crush on reciprocates, the tender feelings just evaporate!! Dama the tender emotions are being fed on the feeling of u cant have what u want. Once u can have it, then u dont want it...lol!!

Ah, as I almost do? My novel is based on something that happened to me but you know how writers are, though am not yet a writer, there are lots of changes; characters, setting, plot, conflict etc are deployed and that changes how it is in real world.

Oh wat the heck! I've been keeping this crush to myself for a long time. But bari na baku labari.
See, in my last few years in secondary school a friend and classmate came to me and confided that she had this stroooong crush on someone that comes to her house.I think it was her brother's friend, cant remember. It so happened that I was at that time very unfortunate to have been suffering a crush on someone who used to visit our house.I saw him as sooo handsome and my! was I over my head.Anyway from that day me and this friend would sit down after vacations and talk about our various crushes and fantasize. We even had this nickname we called each other and some other girls joined us with their stories.Fortunately, I was too shy to even answer the guy and then we moved cities. To cut tori short this guy is now married to one of my really close friends and we see alot of each other.
I wonder what would have happened if I had been bold enough and had shown or said how I felt then.Bold as DB says girls are these days.

Dont know dont care cuz I have a crush now...no, three in K-online alone.
I'll give u clues...
- They all have the letter H in thier names, even if they dont put it there, I write it so.
- Two of them have been to Kano, one hasn't
- Atleast one of them is not really Hausa
- Atleast two have made over a thousand posts.
- All have built a unique reputation in a short while
- At least one is wierd, at least one is troublesome
- All are beyond pretty, with beautiful minds.(wat did u expect lol)
- none resides in the southern hemisphere(very few do anyway)
- At least one of them is intrested in space travel.
- At least one is inconsistent here, but her heart remains here
moreclue might come later, right now I'm hungry and none of them will feed me today, not even next week.

Oh my 3 lovely crushes

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''Previously on Dan-Bornos Crush'''''''''''''''''''''''''

Hey, I know you are eager to hear about this Egbira girl, its
a true life story and the names i am mentioning are never
fictitious.

I met this girl between the period of 1996 and 1997 in the
town of Damaturu, as at that time she was pursuing her
National Diploma with the Fed. Poly Damaturu while the
Actor is seriously into business of so many things including
smuggling of petrol into neighbouring countries, dillanci,
importation of bread to the fulani empire, illegal importation
of yan chi rani from other countries including giving them
fake residence permit all which are contrary to my country's
laws.

So, this girl fine for face, body and including her heart no be
small and i come to luv her so many ways.  Those days babu
GSM except that 090 which is very expensive, so monitoring
movement is not easy.

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''CD SCRATCH JUMP TO CONCLUSION'''''''''''''''''''''''

I asked her who is this guy, she couldnt give me enough
explanation.  So, Habiba, after all this wahala including paying
your school fees, helping you do your research for final year
and all the encouragements, this is how you are paying me
back - oh my Allah, ciwon zuciya zai kashe ni, did you know
this guy you are going out with?  He has impregnated 3 girls
around the border areas and now he is with you, chei.

GGNK na inside my ear i dey hear this one.
Waduz, bari na baka wani labari off topic,
When His Excellency, Alhaji Bukar Abba Ibrahim
Executive Governor of Yobe State visit a town
called TARMUWA in Yobe State, the town is
a heaven to all fulani within that axis.  In the
cause of His Excellency's speech, he promised
that his Government is going to build schools,
bore hole, hospitals and other infrastructures.
The leader of the fulani was asked to give a
thank you remark over the speech by the governor.
and he said  in the normal fulani tonation
"....Mun gode da zuwan gwamna Abba Ibrahim,
amma duk wannan abun da aka ce za a yi muna,
mu dai kam in har akayi mana Injin buga Burudo
wallahi komai ya isa..."

So, waduz, this is when I started importing bread
to the fulani guys.
Title: Re: SECRET CRUSH
Post by: waduz on February 05, 2008, 11:50:12 AM
lol  ;D ;D ;D DBN kenan. You see, I don't like joking today
because of the mmod I find myself in. But since you have started,
I have no alternative other than to crack one! First, why is consumption
of bread an issue? Is it not better to be recognized with it than most of
what is consumed as food nowadays......?

Okay. There was this fulani guy talking to his kanuri friend about
kanuris always having knives concealed on their bodies. The kanuri man
vehemently denied that. The following conversation ensued between them:

Fulani: Wallahi duk wani babarbare da ka gani in ka bincikeshi, za ka samu wuka
          a kwankwasonsa.

Kanuri: Mutum ban ja ni, kerya kai munayi! Ku akoi uka kullu kullu a jikinta!

After this exchange, they decided to look for answers from a third party. They hardly
sat down, when an old kanuri man came to pass by. He was wearing the long kanuri white
jumper, and ofcourse, chewing GORO! Ga kuma man bare bari ya fesa! The fulani man
stopped the old man and brought out a rope held by both hands and lifted it up. He said to
old kanuri man:

Fulani: Baba, don Allah akwai wuka ne mu yanke igiyannan?

Without any premonition of what the Fulani chap was after, the old man said:

Oldman: Uka? and lifted the sleeve of his gown to expose a dagger concealed on his upper
hand. He drew the knife out and instantly, with the expertise of a butcher, he slashed
the rope in the hands of the Fulani man into two!

By that singular act, the old kanuri man has proved the Fulani man right, that they all carry knives
on their bodies! ;D
