This is the parts list:
C*=Tuning capacitor....this is what radio's use for tuning frequencies
C=capacitor
D=Diode(IN4001 will be sufficient)
L=inductor coil(3 turns)
I havent built this circuit but some ppl have bulit it and it's said to work good...
Would you like to switch on/off you room lights with a single or double clap? Here's an easy circuit that will do that operation.....it is simple to construct....Just about 500 naira would be enough for the components
For the relay you can use 12 volt instead of 9v cos its a bit hard to find.....

Power supply failure alarm
Most of the power supply failure indicator circuits need a separate power supply for themselves. But the alarm circuit presented here needs no additional supply source. It employs an electrolytic capacitor to store adequate charge, to feed power to the alarm circuit which sounds an alarm for a reasonable duration when the supply fails.
This circuit can be used as an alarm for power supplies in the range of 5V to 15V.
To calibrate the circuit, first connect the power supply (5 to 15V) then vary the potentiometer VR1 until the buzzer goes from on to off.
Whenever the supply fails, resistor R2 pulls the base of transistor low and saturates it, turning the buzzer ON.

FOR THE GURUS HERE BROTHA SHEIK & GOGANNNAKA, I HAVE A QUESTION. IS THERE ANY WAY THAT AN ELECTRONIC MACHINE OR GADGET CAN BE BUILD? LIKE TO RUN ERRANDS. wow........such devices have already been built........they bear the names 'ROBOTS'.... :lol: ............u can buy yourself one.......they are available at robotic shops (not in nija definately)

On a serious note,i dont think we've reached a stage where we can build these robots......its a lil bit advanced........................amma if shiekh will set the stage then maybe we can EXPERIMENT...lol

I need a computerised gadget dat can wake me 4 breakfast bring me breakfast in bed, one dat can do my laundary, go food stuff shoppin for me, prepare lunch 4 me.........& yawwa I always hav lots of visitors comin & goin I need a built computerised robot dat can bring food treats so dat I can juss sit & dnt hav 2 worry bout goin 2 d kitchen & gettin dem sumthin. I need an electronic gadget dat can pass me d remote wen its restin 3 inches away from my TV set. I need a computerised electronic gadget dat can cut mah nails & do mah hair, brush mah teeth, hold d tissue whilst I sneeze in it, cook & clean, do my typings in kanoonline & tuck me up in bed @ d end of d day. Infact er'thang & it will resume 2 duty d nxt day as soon as d sun rises. & I seriously dnt want a compurised robot dat I first hav 2 speak 2 it. My own request is simple and small, I just need a duplicate of myself. So that my lecturer will think am present in my lectures whilst I CHILL on the highest level not thinking about going to lectures. Is that possible. I need me robot dublicate in flesh not metal!

I am thinking one project which has prcatical applications will a genarator.
One could get a dynamo and then harness the kinetic energy associated with the movement of a car. The energy will then be store in a battery for future use.
kekuna already have something similar only that the energy (in the form of front light) is expended simultaneously not stored. Another application is in the winding radio. We have one at home where if you wind it for some 5 minutes, you can get enough juice to power the radio for an hour.

I dont get the point here.
The car already has an alternator which charges the car battery.The battery in the car is used for the electronic funtions such as starter,lights etc
