blood is he? Uncle Vernon is not a wizard and aunt petunia isn't as well.

Ya know it's always full of suspense so i don't jus bother guessing

anymore i prefer reading it.

well, fateez mark evans is jus a boy mentioned in passin in hp and d order of d phoenix. and if u remember from snape's worst memory, lilly potter's maiden name was evans. and mark evans was said to be 10yrs old in phoenix. so u see, in hbp, he'll be 11 and ready to go to hogwarts. and d fact dat he has d same surn name with lilly might make him a halfblood. but 1 cant be sure anyway!
about dudley... well petunia might be a witch u know. wat i think is dat she might have lied to uncle vernon, as in told him she was a muggle. i mean how else wud she hav known all dat bout dementors and voldermort and stuff? and dudley... perhaps petuna made a deal with dumbledore, that if she took harry in then dudley will not get d letter to hogwarts. remember he sent her a howler in phoenix and she said harry had to stay.
well, anyway, its all so confusin. me i jus cant wait 4 it.........

Dat is very possible. But then Aunt Petunia is supposed 2 be Harry?s only

surviving relative. If she was a witch, then why did she leave da

wizarding world? Hehehe?it wud?ve been so much fun to see a Hogwarts

letter being sent to Dudley, maybe Uncle Vernon wud explode like Aunt Marge.

U know in Snape?s worst memory Lily Evans hated James Potter and then

I wonder how they ended up married

I really don?t like da way the Order of da phoenix ended, why on earth did

Sirius have to die? And imagine who killed him Bellatrix Lestrange his own

cousin. It wud?ve been nice if he cud live to see how Cornelius Fudge wud

react when he found out dat Sirius has been saying da truth for 13 years!

I was kinda hoping dat in da end it?ll be like he only got behind the veil

and he?ll come back, but da book said nothing; meaning dats da end of

Sirius Black. So sad

u know fateez, i really really dont thnk sirius is dead. i mean wuts d point den? 4 jk to bring up sirius into harry's life and den jus take him away lyk dat? and there is sumthn weird bout dat veil. i mean only harry and luna cud hear the voices. i thnk in d end maybe sumhow harry or sum1 wud figure out how 2 save all dem behind dat veil! dont u thnk?

U shud read all of da books they?r great, and u know wat? da movies cut away

a large fraction of da story. They only show like 2/3 out of da whole story

and they cut out little funny and important stuff. Like in da Prisoner of

Azkaban movie they didn?t really explain why Pettigrew turned into

Scabbers. And they also didn?t explain who Padfoot, Moony and Prongs

were cos they invented da marauder?s map

hp and d prisoner of azkaban (d movie) was really disappointin. it didnt turn at all d way i xpected it. and d buk is my fav. so far. the dumbledore didnt fit at all. d way d movie ended was sooooooooo not cool. harry didnt recieve his firebolt at d right time. dey've changed d look of hogwarts. they've ruined it1 pple who havent read d book will lose interest in it if dey watch azkaban. and i've got a feelin goblet's gonna be worse. d story is so long dey wanted 2 do 2 movies. but now dey've decided 2 do 1 so imagine how it wud be. dey r gonna cut off alot!!!!!!!

well actually it depends on the person. A non-harry potter reader might find

it very interesting cos they weren't expecting so much. But a Harry Potter

reader wud expect it to be exactly like da book and well...might be a bit

disappointed {U shud still try 2 watch it to see wat i mean}. Usually i dont

watch HP movies but da 3rd one was da first time i decided to watch

and ...well I wasn't amused. I think the movies wud be better if they

make them for 3 hours instead of 1hr 30 mins. Then there wud be enough

time to explain bit by bit

I watched the film in a cinema and i had just made myself comfortable thinking there was more to come when it ended.I actually sat  down waiting for some more but then i saw people getting up.i was really disppointed.I just hope the next movies will be more satisfying.Wat's the point of watching a film and leaving with a feeling of there's more to come?afterall lord of the rings was 3 hours each.

HARRRY HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF ASKERBAN...(signs). ALL I GOTTA SAY TO YOU GUYS IS ONE SENTENCE.

HARRY LIVES NEXT DOOR, HE IS MY NEIGBOUR, HE JUST POPPED IN FOR A BOTTLE OF MILK AT MY HOUSE (WHO JUST SAID AM LYING?

I'en never seen someone who is obssessed about Harry Potter like my little Niece, Mufida. That little girl has all the books, her writitng pads is of harry potters, her mouse pad is harry's, her screen saver, her mobile phone accessories is of Harry'z, she was troubling her parents on having her med glasses changed to Harry's frames glasses, even when it was for boys (and she is so sexist but she didnt care whether the frames were for boys or girls). She knows ALMOST every line in the movie. She has a homepage which she nagged me to view 2 months ago for Harry potter fans (I think it is still under construction). She knows all the magic words from the movie, her bedroom wall is covered with glossy posters of Harry Potter. The last time I met her, she was planning to travel to see Harry and as the only daugther of her parents I think they will take her(I HOPE NOT, CUS SHE CUD BE A BRAT AT TIMES). She always have the books in her school bag and she has read it like 5 fives as I last saw her I wont doubt if she has read them more than that. She is quite but she gets wild anywhere Harry Potter is being talked of. I wonder what she will say if she ever gets to see this! And this is just a 13yr old girl we talking about.

So BEURILICIOUS I THINK YOU'VE GOT  YOURSELF A MATCH

I havent read the lodr book but i'm going to go buy it one of these days.I was actually also comparing the two together just like beaut and i thot jk must've  gotten inspired by tolkien.I only watched the lodr trilogy a few months back and i must say it was one long weekend.I had nothing to do so i spent about nine or more hours watching the films plus all the extras that came with the dvd.
I was corrected sometime back when i said gandalf was the last Dumbledore. So if he wasnt then who was it?

Dis girl u dey try oh! anyways u don finish exams dats why.

Dracos Detour:~ Yeah cud possibly be Azkaban , or maybe he too went beyond da veil just like Sirius {which we wudn't mind, wud we?}

Spinner's end:~ Maybe Spinner is an unknown Death Eater dat wud be killed. Probably da new Defence Against The Dark arts teacher.

Felix Felicis:~ Maybe it's an animal.  u know how in every book she introduces new animals.
Book 1:~ Fluffy and trolls
Book 2:~ Basilisk, Aragog, house elves
book 3:~ Hippogriffs
book 4:~ Merpeople
book 5:~ Thestrals

so maybe in book 6 it'll be sthn like dat in da form of a cat or if it's a spell it'll turn u into a cat or sthn....who knows?

decided to read a LOTR book my friend came and took it. It's been 6

dumbledore....gandalf
dobby..... chukwuyenye (gollum... he jus luks lyk chukwuyenye to me)
aragog..... shelob
n i dunno y somehow sirius seemz lyk aragorn to me
n den there's d whompin willow n d willow (itz not in d movie but in d book, its a tree which almost killed frodo n sam n d rest afta dey left d shire)
uh... dunno...they have so much in common so i'd say i lyk hp AND lotr equally.
fateez dear wat d'ya thnk?

hehehehe... everytime i pick up da LOTR book 2 read sumtin comes up.

i'd rather read the book but it's like anytime i pick it it up, there's either

skool work 2 be done, or I sleep off, or I get a new Danielle Steel book

dat i haven't read, or my favorite TV show is on...bla bla.... Da last time i

decided to read a LOTR book my friend came and took it. It's been 6

months now and i havent even bothered to ask her. Bottom line is i am

totally clueless about the story {though i listen to pple talk abt it all da

time, and i once saw a Gollum action figure dat scared my bones 1} since

then i just lost interest.

precious see wat i mean.. i havent met a single person who haz finished readin dat buk. oh xcept 4 my cousin. after 3 yrz, she'z finally done it!!
fateez try watch d movie. itz great. and itz not scary.

Quote from: "beautilicious"hey hav u guyz heard? jk has revealed d name of 2 chapters in the hbp
here they r:
chp.6: Draco's Detour.
chp.2: spinners end.
chp.14: felix felicis

draco's detour..... maybe draco goes 2 visit his dad in azkaban
spinner's end...it is rumored it is a place..a rail road i think...maybe harry was practicing apparating illegally and he ended there...a place very close to azkaban...maybe!
felix felicis....maybe itz a spell... i so cant wait 4 d buk!

Dis girl u dey try oh! anyways u don finish exams dats why.

Dracos Detour:~ Yeah cud possibly be Azkaban , or maybe he too went beyond da veil just like Sirius {which we wudn't mind, wud we?}

Book 2:~ Basilisk, Aragog, house elves
book 3:~ Hippogriffs
book 4:~ Merpeople
book 5:~ Thestrals

so maybe in book 6 it'll be sthn like dat in da form of a cat or if it's a spell it'll turn u into a cat or sthn....who knows?

yea could be. but jus hav 2 wait n see....

Finally....yeah u shud've seen da way me ma friends became so grumpy and moody the week it was released. it really affected every reader.

u know what? i think Draco IS good. He doesn't want to be a death eater.

He was Blackmailed. I think in da next book, he's going to be on da good

side. cos remember how Dumbledore offered to help him b4 da death

eaters came to da tower? when he dropped his wand? yeah he wud've

been good. he sort of knew that Dumbledore is strong enough to protect

him from Voldermorts wrath. Now i feel sorry for him, as in he's in deep

trouble.

ohhhh no! its true.! snape is a death eater...I HATE HIM! I HATE HIM!! itz just i dont want to believe he'd do dat... SHEGE!
and sirius black...i still dnt believe hez dead... he fell beyond that veil rite? n harry n luna heard voices beyond the veil...n i thnk luna said sthn like pple r trapped there n dey r callin 4 help...(or sthn lyk dat cant rememba i av 2 go n read dat chapter again)...well anywayz maybe harry is goin 2 help those peeps...includin sirius...maybe they'd all come bak

Get cracking on reading the books and then u will become unconfused. The first two/three books were geared towards kids, but their popularity with adults made JK Rawlings change her style of writing to include adult consumers.
PS  the first book is very easy on the brain as well. It will take u a max of three to five hrs to finish it depending on how fast u read.

Enjoy!! But remember, all these things are preparing our minds to accept  Dajjal when he makes an appearance! So be forewarned so that u dont fall into that trap should he come before the end of our days!!

Some how I feel that Hogwarts is a big part of the magic of Harry Potter, since he doesnt have a proper  or a happier home and all the oddball characters that he meets there. So taking Hogwarts out of the plot or making it a secondary scenario  is going to make JK take a longer time in writing another Harry Potter novel cos she has to think of many more scenarios and newer characters and more intricate plots. Also she  may find it difficult to get all the main characters (Hermione, and Ron) out of sch at the same time unless she gives them each an iron clad reason for dropping out of sch with Harry.

Also she  may find it difficult to get all the main characters (Hermione, and Ron) out of sch at the same time unless she gives them each an iron clad reason for dropping out of sch with Harry.

Nah it should be alright, remember Jk already had all da books planned

out and drafted years ago. It shouldn't be any harder to write than the

others. Also, remember at the end of Half Blood Prince, Many parents had

already taken their kids out of da skool so getting Ron and Hermione out

shouldn't be a problem. Plus Ron and Hermione told Harry they would be

with him wherever he went so they have practically dropped out.

Sometimes, i think as interesting as hogwarts is, it also restricts Harry

from most of his adventures.

Mudacris is right, JK has introduced so many new concepts to make way

for the seventh. Remember she never quite went back into the veil that

Sirius fell thru, she didnt explain the voices Harry and Luna had heard

and of course, the biggest thing should be Harry's hunt for the Horcruxes.

I sooo can't wait  :!:  :!:

Quite right. There are so many loose ends in the books that u can make several novels out of each one. I really should read Harry Potter all over again in order to get all the nuances. I must say I read the books on a superficial level.

J.K has hinted that she is writing the final version of Harry Potter. In an interview with the CBS while in the U.S,J.K said she will do everything possible such that it becomes the LAST Harry Potter book. She also hinted that two characters are going to die in the coming book.
I wonder who it will be?

Yes well lets hope she changes her mind. If she wants a last book, then she has to kill Harry. Now that would finalize everything.

Hmmmm....Yeah who is going to die? Something tells me a Weasley is

going to die they are too many of them in the book! Nine to be exact, the

probability of a Weasley dying is higher than that of any other character.

It'll be really sad though. Even though Percy is my least favourite, I still

dont want him to die. Mr Weasley has escaped death on two occasions,

could he be 3rd time lucky? Or maybe Ginny is going to follow her heart

to go after Harry...who knows...

Dat woman ehn, i believe if she cud kill dumbledore  :'( :'(

then she can kill Harry or Ron or Hermione too cos i dunno

about you people but i believe da real hero since da beginning

of da book is Dumbledore - Da greatest Wizard dat ever lived.

{In da world of fiction, that is}

Da new book is out July 22, I so can;t wait!!!

Maybe Dumbledore isnt really dead, but has to fake it realistically between him and Snape. Anyway, the plot is such that now she has to decide whether Snape is really a good guy in disguise or totally on the other side. I just wish it werent the last book.
Title: Re: "...to harry potter, the boy who lived..."

Same here!!! But i think Snape is bad. I think he only did it so that

he would redeem himself as a faithful servant once and for all in the

eyes of Voldermort. Thats why he did the unbreakable vow with

Narcissa. He knew definitely no matter what, Draco Malfoy would not

be able to carry out the task. Judging from his earlier conversation with

Bellatrix, he wants to score more points to become Voldermorts number

one. That JK sure knows how to keep people in suspense!!! She purposely

left the Snape story ambiguous to keep people guessing!!! But one thing

though, she confirmed in an interview that Dumbledore is dead as in dead

forever. Though she said there's going to be a bit more detail about Aberforth

Dumbledore and the Dumbledore family and maybe the Pettigrews too.

So what's the point in giving us a posthumous Dumbledore if he cant be back in the flesh???
Fateez, I saluteooooooooooo!! I had better get back and read the whole collection. I have totally forgotten the stories. I think it is bcos I read them superficially only.

Do you know Georgette Heyer? She was a historical romance novelist. She was the only person, one of whose books, I have read a dozen times or more. I highly recommend her to you Fateez. However you can, get a novel written by her and read it. Start with 'Friday's child'. That will make you fall in love with all her other novels. Lol I am not sure if I dont associate a little bit of the heroine in Friday's child with you!!

The director of Xena the heroine killed her in the last episode of the series.People were so disappointed that he decided to continue the series and revive her.As children would say 'dama mutuwar karya ce'.That is what is going to happen to dumbledore.

InshaAllah i'd search for this one and keep u posted. Thanx 4 da tip  :)  :)

You'll love the heroine. I cant forget her and I first read the book when I was thirteen yrs old!!! i have read it more than a dozen times since then and I still enjoy it (and find something new!). The author is so addictive that she has a huge fan following and a very dedicated fan has a website in which u can indulge  in discussions of the books to yr heart's content. Incidentally, Georgette Heyer was the woman that inspired EVERY OTHER modern historical romance novelist from the 1980s to date. I have tried reading other historical romances by other modern day authors who were inspired by her. But I havent found one.. not a single ONE that I have enjoyed or liked in so far as it was modelled after her style of writing. None of them could match her form or her witticisms, and consequently I have stopped reading them. Other authoresses u might  (I say might cos we could have different tastes) like, are Catherine Cookson (she is superb), and Mrs Gaskell (I think her name is Catherine also). For modern novelists, I liked Judith Mitchener (is her name, i think... cant remember) but she wrote a novel called 'Perfect'. It was really good. Cant remember any other oh Barbara Taylor Bradford ( A woman of substance). Anyway my forte is historical novels.

Ok what's their names? Sidney Sheldon,  Jefferey Archer and Robert Ludlum. My favorite male authors, oh and Anthony trollope (Barchester Chronicles and all that) Oh oh oh forgot Dominic Dunn. Very very enjoyable novels ( I read one of his books only, but I read his articles in Vanity fair whenever I get the chance  He is so good with social nuances of upper crust American societies. Ladies who lunch and all that.......). New novels? The Da Vinci code? Who is the author? Havent had time to read it... I am so out of books at the moment.....

:( :( I still havent found dat "Fridays child" book or any of Georgette's.

I'd keep searching tho. I have read only a few HRs and dat was a while

ago, infact since da good old school days. I can remember Johanna

Lindsey's "Once a Princess" and "When love awaits" they were good.

Hehe, I also came across one Johanna Lindsey book when i was a kid,

but for some reason my mum seized it b4 i even got a chance to read

it and i never saw it again. Maybe it had something to do with da name

of da book "Prisoner of my Desire".  ??? ??? ??? I have read Barbara Taylor

Bradford's "Angel". that about all i can remember. I'm a huge fan of Danielle

Steel tho, in 2000 i set myself a challenge to read every single Danielle Steel

book i come across b4 2005. That time she only had about 50 books. Well it's

2007 and i have only managed to read about 24 or 25 and she's got 70 books

now! *sigh* I can't keep up :'(. I'm still a huge fan tho. Danielle Steel's lady

through and through  :)

Oh, i also read short stories...Do u know about the "Girl's Night in" collection?

They're good!  :) :) :)

God, Fateez u are a walking library/bookstore!!! ;D
I havent read any of those books that u mentioned, and i prided myself in being a bookworm lol!!
I have read one or two Danielle Steel books. U c me, I am of the old romantic book stock where the hero gets the heroine and where they are all physically perfect like Cinderella and snow white, Barbara Cartland and Denise Robbins. On the other hand Danielle's books are more realistic in the sense that they deal with actual probabilities, so that is why I dont read them, cos i want the main hero to end up with the main heoine not the supporting heroine.... ;D
Try ebay or Amazon.com for Georgette Heyer.

Hehe, Precious and Husnaa, same here! after everybook i tell myself never again,

but then somehow somehing keeps pulling me back. Kleenex makes a lot of profit

from dat lady. Sometimes you dont just cry...you weep! Da worst case i had was

when i locked myself up crying buckets for 2 good days. What makes it worse is

that when i read books generally, i dont just read it, i feel a strong bond with da

characters. Like I'm right there with them...And when they die...i feel everything

crashing... Who knows, Maybe I'm borderline Schizophrenic...[Hehe, i'm beginning

to sound like a total freak] I'm perfectly normal, honestly  :). But seriously Da kind

of atrocities dat woman can cook up ehn, Allah u'd think she doesnt have a heart.

Maybe it's cos she's been through some traumatising experiences in da past. I dunno

why i keep reading it tho. Its like there's something in her style of writing that sort of

makes the reader a stronger person. It's like she prepares you to face da cruel reality

of life. Also she reinforces the "It could have been worse" positive thinking attitude...

I like that.

Have you forgotten so quickly?? At Dumbledore's funeral???
