Title: Why is Educatio Moves slowly in Katsina.
Post by: FARI on August 15, 2004, 03:14:33 PM
The reason is simple may I introduce myself first....My Name is Shuaibu

Ibrahim Fari an Indigine of Dukuma Dugul a small village in Yandoma

Local Gov't but I studies in Lagos, Malumfashi, Ota Ogun state and now Kano.

I guess the little Infor about myself is ok for now...........

As I say the reason is simply.......ok here we go

If we can think back this so called westen Education started in Katsina

whn it come to Northern Nigeria....... but don't you think that Katsina

should be well recognize in time of Education in North today..? .... No it

cannot be recognize why because we don't have a University hahahaha.....

It is not that we don't have a University but the reason is there you know

it I know it........Our leaders .....who are this our leader..? Do we have a

Leader in Katsina state....? If there is what has he done to THE

DEVELOPMENT of Education in the state.

I will stop here because.............I will continue next time.

Thanks and bye for now.[/b]

Well Fari... Katsina's present premature education I'm afraid is not due to "our leaders" as u put it! Its actually upon ourselves. Its bout time we stop projecting all our problems on our leaders and start looking at ourselves for a start!
There are thousands of primary and secondary/technical schools in Ktsina but how many are private...coz we now have a notion`private schools or no school` right? Well talk to urselves and parentn the investmens made in katsina state...too many links to developement but non is ready to lead the way, we'd rather pack up what is left of us to Kaduna....I rest my case
I'll have a date and check on this place, for now here is my silence

Assalamu alaikum,
Mallam Shuaib and Ibro, both of have made very good observations. Now lets proffer some solutions to the problems enumurated.

I think we the youth have a big role to play, ofcourse our leaders should lead the way foward, in turning things round for the better..... I will like to hear more from everybody not only we the Katisnawas...... our brothers/sisters from kano, Zaria, Umma'ahiya, Sokoto, Jigawa, etc., should please contribute.

Remain blessed.

you should be grateful mr fari. yeah is good to push forward, but presently in the whole core north, katsina has the highest number of students in the university, in proportion to it's population!

it's true we cannot just push all our problems on our leaders, but then

if we (the youth) are going to make any difference, then we need the help

of these our leaders because without these people we are powerless and

we have no say in it.

The schools don't have to be "private" to be able to provide good quality

education. I know there are many good schools in Katsina and they are

working as hard as possible. we shud also note dat da students attitude

towards their studies determines the progress of an institiution.

No offence, but i think the government is mainly concerned in developing

only da capital Katsina. It pains me when i see our poor villages left out

and neglected.

Title: Educational Emancipation
Post by: ahmedbukar on February 12, 2006, 08:20:25 PM
In reference to what my brothers and sisters said earlier about the backwardness of educational development in katsina. In one way or the other you all have a good point. But let me quote myself clearly, to be honest at times we tend to spend more time picking up and point at the problems rather proferring solutions to these. In my opinion i will suggest that  there is urgent need for us the youth to set up some sort of a collective pressure group to forward a clear formidable working plan to our leaders and the state government on how we can improve means and ways we can make katsina state as the most developed not just educationally but economically and socially. Even though the power route to achieving all that, is through good quality education affordable to every indigene of the state.
Thank you.

Ahmed Bukar (Daura)

Yeah I heard that too and I am quite impressed. I'm not sure if it spreads

to secondary schools too. I just hope they keep the promise and the people

appreciate and take advantage of the opportunity.   :)       :)       :)       :)
