Title: What improvements have you noticed since GEJ became president?
Post by: gogannaka on November 05, 2012, 03:13:43 PM
Since GEJ became Nigeria's president, what improvements have you seen. Kindly list and maybe we can correspond to his campaign promises and see if he is fulfilling them or not.

My own list:
Power has improved between July and October
The nation's Airports are being renovated
Foreign reserve is increasing
::)  ::)

To be fair to this young gentleman, as he once said in
an interactive interview while answering a similar question
but in a much criticize way said he never expected that
insecurity will top his priority if he becomes the president
of this country.

In a nutshell, it is not easy to attain full development with
insecurity situation at hand, however, His Excellency, the
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck
Jonathan Azikiwe has succeeded in liberalizing the entire
system of governance in Nigeria unlike his predecessor
(Obasanjo and Yaradua) who militarised the entire
democratic system of Nigeria.

He has also approved funds for the completion of the abandoned
dual carriage way from Kano to Maiduguri and has insisted on the
Minister in-charge to put pressure on the contractors to complete
the contract.

He has also opened more federal Universities across the nation. The 2013 Budget also sees Education having the largest share.
During the Egypt crises, they sent planes to evacuate all Nigerians from the troubled region.
The way and manner the government Handled the South African yellow fever face-off was impressive as well.

Correction:
It takes 35 hrs to go from Lagos to Kano using the new rail service. 700miles (1,125km)
As is common in Nigeria, power outages do occur on the trains. Yes they do!
The ticket costs N2,600 but reads N64 on the ticket, meaning the tickets used were printed many years ago.

Husnaa, you are welcome.
BKGZ you too.

I don't think there are any Jonathanians in Nigeria except Reno Omokri and Doyin Okupe.

I was just passing by when this topic caught my eye :-)
While Uncle Jona may seem to be a good man to some ppl, he simply isn't my idea of a President of the greatest nation on earth!
He doesn't have what it takes to take this country to the NEXT LEVEL!
