DESERT
The desert wind blows,
Endless sand dunes form,
I search for where water flows,
I see only a cactus farm.
What do people eat in the desert?
Because they need food to live.
There are oases in the desert,
Where food grows I believe.
The wonder of the soft sand;
The long legs of the camel;
The dryness of the desert land;
And the mysteries to unravel.
Despite the beauty in its nature,
Desert encroachment causes draught.
Lets grow trees for the future,
As desert shield to avoid a draught!
I bow when the wind blows.
The tuareg pulls his turban.
I still pray that water flows,
So I will make the desert urban.
