Title: ACF's,Gamji's...... and the lagacies of sardauna
Post by: Anonymous on February 22, 2003, 07:21:05 AM
the so called ACF's,Gamjis,Gama's and so on claims to be upholding the lagacies of the late premeir of the northern nigeria, but the question here is that are they really championing the cause of the north?
to my own persception i see these kind of association as a form of flat form were by they are used to achieve selfish interests, rather than upholding the virtures of sardauna.
one can see the Afenifere really captivating the cause of the south west who are predominantly Yorubas.
we the northerners only seemed to remember the sardauna at annual lectures here and there, speaks laud and colonial grammers at those venues for peole to applaud us.
if the late sardauna will come back and see how we've messed what he had set in place,im sure we will all be ashame of ourseves.

Assalamu Alaikum

Habibu a gaishe ka. It is really hypocritical of the ACF to assume the role of guardians of sardauna's legacy. As we are constantly told, the sardauna was tolerant and very generous even to non muslims. Can this be said of the ACF today? ......obviously not. ACF is no more than an extension of the conservative Northern politicians who have, at many times, abandoned the cause of the Sardauna and by implication the Muslims-North (apologies to MD Yusuf and his ilk). The fact that military and traditional rulers hold prominence in this org indicates that bureaucracy and protocols are more important that minutes of a communique.
Until the ACF members set up a fund of no less than a billion naira for scholarship to deserving students, I shall continue to see them for what they are- ?a bunch of............. well you know what - or wa'azi a cassette ( all talk no worrk).
BIssalam

PS: Habibu, Ina fatan dai ban tsokano tsuliyar dodo ba?
LOL!
