I dont think the way the Bakaasi issue turned out was a blunder, but rather a well thougt-out plan:Obj's plan B.
Plan A was to perpertuate himself in Aso Rock (the 3rd term idea).
Plan Z ofcourse is to return to his chickens and pigs in Otta.

Plan B is to make himself relevant in the international comunity and perharps vie for Koffi Annaan's seat in the UN.
Part of the plan is transfering his cheif reformer,Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to the external/foreign affairs ministry in order for her to reform Obj's image abroad(not Nigeria's mind you).
I hope 1year will be enough for her to acheive this difficult task.it is my prayer for her to sucssed so that he(Obj) will really be out of our hair after 2007.GOOD RIDDANCE.[/b]
