Title: This Internet thing.
Post by: Anonymous on November 19, 2002, 06:57:04 PM
I begin to wonder, in the recent future as Internet is increasingly attracting patronage and people are growing in the trust it offers, they keep their mails there; they keep their photo albums there; they maintain their diary and Resume there; they just rely on it on virtually everything ranging from medical care to informations about the kind of food they take everyday. Then suddenly some people somewhere in cloaks of experts would start saying that its servers in Europe and USA are being attacked by nature or group of terrorists from middle east (?), that a bug similar to the millennium bug that affected computer systems (or confusion systems) is about to stage a comeback on the Internet.

Mhm? my dear friend(ing) what would u say, think or do?

Waziri

Hey surfers, been observing this forum for a while now, loads of interesting stuff from some very interesting pple, so this time i will chip in a word or 2.
Problem is not the internet or the technology, it's the pple. Hard copy, soft copy, under your bed or on a faraway server 6000 miles away you can loose everything.
Best practice - keep a copy of everything whether its on a pc harddisk or on that distant server... afterall we have heard of bank vaults that have gone up in flames. Dont blame the technology!! Just remember this internet thingy is here to stay hehehe  8)
