So, has anything GOOD happened to you lately? Engaged? Getting (or just) married? Bought a new car? Ka kara mata *ahem*. You don pass exam? Or whatever sweet.
Anyway, I just have to post this. Forget all my excuses above.
So here goes, GTTMUH: I have just been promoted 8) ;D ;D ;D If you know what it means in my place of work, you'd understand my excitement and why a separate thread. :) It is also part of the reason I was away from the forum. Y'now, promotional exam, interview, the anxiety, prayers in the night etc etc ;D. So lets the congratulations begin. And the gifts, please ;D

Yeah...I'm a newbie here but that above reason isn't well explained, I suspect. Because the other thread you described above, if you could notice, is not made only for that mentioned purpose.
Though still, to say sth. on this (the thread) also; I've recieved a certificate just few days ago on a computer program at school. Is it how you wanna it to go like?

As for me, I just had a call from my younger brother working in lagos, that he has deposited the sum of ......... in my acct for me to buy more RAMS for the impending sallah. To say that the sum is substantial, is an underestatement! Myself, a wanke babban tukunya! ;D ;D ;D

Network congestion: MTN, Celtel to pay N5bn fine
The National Communications Commission (NCC) has directed mobile phone giants MTN Nigeria and Celtel Nigeria to pay N4.7 billion as compensation to subscribers as a result of the congestion on their networks in the month of December 2007. Subscribers to the two networks are to be given a credit sum of N175.00 each, and that MTN, with a total of 15.873million subscribers, would have to pay N2.777 billion to its subscribers, while Celtel, with a total subscriber base of 11.098 million, will be liable to pay N1.942 billion. The total amount the two network operators have been directed to pay their subscribers is N4.72 billion

these networks are out to make money and they are
really making it. when they came in during the obj era
government heavily taxed them and could not provide
enough electricity to support their various mast.
hwoever, i am not supporting the communication companies,
if at all nigerian government is serious on imposing fines
on them, then let it be so for the betterment of all.
The communication companies are just Exploiters.
The NCC has not been doing enough to sanction the providers.
To me the N175 MTN and celtel were asked to pay is too small compared to the poor service they give us.

naija it takes me about 7 or more trys to get the connection if not

That is simple they'll just ask them to send a hard and soft copy of the billing schedule.
