The Kaduna State governor, Namadi Sambo, on Thursday said that his administration would build a primary school for Almajiri at Sabon-Gari, Zaria.
While inaugurating some projects at Hayin-Ojo in Sabon Gari Local Government Area, Mr. Sambo said that when completed, the school would provide western and Islamic education concurrently.
He said his administration also planned to introduce free education at secondary and tertiary levels and build 300 housing units in the area to ease the accommodation problem facing medium and low income earners.
Mr. Sambo commiserated with the people over last week's demonstration by youth, which led to loss of lives and urged them to resolve their differences through dialogue instead of resorting to violence.
Mr. Sambo told the people that the Inspector General of Police had approved the construction of a N480 million mobile police unit at Sabon-Gari, Zaria and that work on the unit had already began.
