Title: BARUTI

BARUTI
By Baruti M. Kamau

A seed becomes a flower.
It rejects its tyranny
every hour.

How can flower maintain
its two identities?
When the UNSEEN
is its ultimate destiny.

The flower challenges
all of the nations.
Flower dares the confrontation.

The seed is nationalism;
The flower submits to God.
There is no national anthem.
Flower owe its allegiance
to Islam.
