I remember that mournful morningwhen death snatched Mum
I remember being torn by pain
It had neither a name nor an end
I remember now with a cracking heart echoes of our cries
and the cascade of tears .
They brought water to my throath,
but I said i asked not for it .
They brought a mat for me to relax my skeleton,
but I said I asked not for it .
They brought hankies to dry my discrete tears ,
but I said I asked not for it.
All i was thinking of was this monster that had gotten hold of man.
Intense is this wound that has no cure and promises not to heal
No boom can heal this loss
For all sincere healings non is like her
Smile Mama wherever you are
Cos yours was a life well spent
And worthy of echoing
Heaven knows you are for him.
