Mai Halin Girma, It is one thing to have your own ideas, beliefs and practices, and it is quite a different thing to go around attacking and killing other people, because they do not share your own ideas, beliefs and practices! This group does no good to its cause by attacking and killing other people that do not exactly believe the way they do.

I am very sorry about your predicament Muhsin, but in most cases like this, permission from Local Government alone, without any State Agency's involvement is not usually enough. I could be wrong. Allah ya sauwake kuma Allah ya kiyaye gaba.

neozizo Thank you very much for your first-hand contact information regarding this group. This has provided further insight into this group. As usual people like this have great speaking and persuasive gifts and when coupled with environment that has extreme unemployment, it becomes so easy to make an impression on young people. Allah ya sauwake.

It will also be interesting to know who their financial backers and supporters are…

It is also commendable that the news and media outlets have referred to this group with the name “Boko Haram / Yusufiyya” instead of the usual stereotypical names usually and wrongly referred to these kind of groups in the past, and actually started to use when the first incidences started.

By the way, how many other sects/ fringe groups have military wing?

Thanks Bakan~Gizo ,

Unless if some things recently changed, Bagauda Lake Hotel and the Kano Law School are 2 seperate places. I remember the Lake hotel is just by the lake and the Law school is not that far from Dakatalle along Kano-Zaria road.

Thanks also for the new additional hotel - Opera.

Thanks to all members for your responses.

I got mine today in Kano (small market on the Hadejia Road bypass) for about a range of 16,000 to 24,000 Naira...

Get ready and set your budget,
do not bother going out to villages,
wait till a day before Sallah to shop,
do not go in a relatively good looking vehicle,
dress not to look like you have a lot of money,
if you are female, have male shop for you,
if you are middle aged, have somebody younger shop for you.

In Nigeria, prices of goods and services like these are usually subjects to how rich or not you are perceived to be.

Good luck and Eid mubarak...
