General Board / Re: HELP PROTECT THIS MOSQUE!!!
« on: March 20, 2010, 09:50:11 AM »
I am completely with su Dan-Barno on this. Truth of the matter is we dont even build so many mosques in kano that within the same kilometer u find 3 mosques or more. This promotes disunity amongst us. We should learn to do things right especially when it comes to religion. God knows at this age and time Islam's good name has suffered a big beating in the eyes of the world and its our fault.

We, this new young family of Lady Merciful and I would like to tell you we are having the time of our lives in Tokyo. One of those moments we wish will never end. Our wedding was sudden and beautiful, more closely, in words.....not explainable. But our world is now brighter and lovelier, and we'd like ya'll to know that. Oh...I gotta go, there is a nice flower shop across the street, gotta sneak it to her room before she returns from the saloon.
Safety and peace to you all, thats what we are getting here, we'll drop in when we return, or when we find time apart lol ciao

IBB this ur post is misleading... The marriage tied with ever an assumption that it'll sieze in a near or latter future is not valid. One cannot set an expiry date to a marriage, especially beforee it is made. Then what difference would it be with the  likes of mutta'a. Marriage is no joking matter irrespect of what you may have heard on this forum, or elsewhere. Mrriage is an institution with alot of departments and units that is bound to test anyone as a person in character and faith.

The Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W) Said "He/She who follows my sunnah and marries, have done 50% of his Ibadah, and he who doesnt marry is not with me"

By God marriage is beyond just sexual pleasure, or showing off kids etc, do not fall to that pretext

General Board / Re: THE MISSING PLANE

Muda, May Allah protects us from the evil which we see and that which we do not, guide us to the right path in good and difficult times, Ameen. May your relative be return safe and free, Ameen.

Missing plane, missing ship, missing funds, missing projects.......We have become used to all these and more. And the event of the latest one will not change our attitude towards missing "subjects". We made ourselves acostomed to missing management, along with that everything could be misplaced. Untill this nation learns to be fully accountable, down to its clerks. We wil lcintinue to miss this and that.

Missing railways

missing generators

missing refinery plants

missing tractors of Katsina

Missing fertiliser trucks on the road

Missing WAEC/Jamb Results

Missing University results

Missing government accounts

Missing people here, missing money there

Missing bolt here, missing paper there

Like Bajoga said, even the country would go missing someday if we do not start being responsible and accountable.

May Safety and peace be with u all

Oh No! I'm not an action fan. Havent been for a long time. Most action movies made for over a decase now have been meaningless or unrealistic, with so much cliche probably due to low budgets. Action films just were'nt entertaining much because "we have seen it all" But recently, come 2006-2008. The action producers have given us something really entertaining. Even when its senseless action, its still very entertaining.

I'm a fan of thriller movies, I love the excitement and the suspense. The way lives and mysteries unfold. I sometimes watch horrors but wallahi they dont scare me, not anymore. Things can only be scarry to me when they atleast seem plausible. Most horror movies are not plausible, they just hide the killers identity or the crimes of the victim until the end. Its like watching a movie in reverse, then the deadly parts are accompanied with annoying sudden drums. The stories are just told backwards, and it has become....cliche. You know what, I have seen so many horror movies, the high and low budget ones(the latter are more in number) Mostly, Only the ones inspired by a truelife story entertained me, and the stories were also told backwards, to make it seem thrilling and scary. How many Horror films do u know with more than 4 Oscars? or even 3?

Comedies may be attempts at humour, but they arent failed. Often, they tend to make us laugh. But comedies arent my favorite genre either, althogh I love em.

Pay little mind to my criticsm of Horror, like I said earlier, they just dont fit my kinda movies.

I'm about to watch Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of fleet street....

Horrors suck Most that have the adequate intelligence so barely fit my kinda movies. Horrors to me are failed attempts of a scarry thriller movie, but there are exceptions.

Anyone watched National treasure 2? Its a good movie, not so much a chase or a rush, but another good treasure hunt of the Mythical city of Gold. And to prove great great great grand daddys name a hero again lol.

10,000 BC. Might not be interesting to those not fans of adventure, but a good movie as well.

wooops gotta go

General Board / Re: ORGANIZATION OF ISLAMIC CONFERENCE - HOW FAR?
« on: March 18, 2008, 06:57:50 PM »
Its a sad story indeed Dan-Borno. Most often I forget the organisation exists because it has been a case of much ado without action like our ACF. There is no strategy put into place, there is no responsibility realised by any member state or the organisaion itself, nothing. At one time, they were talking about a global broadcast radio of the OIC, but we cant hear anything from them at all. Its just too disappointing.

Indeed another failed mission of the muslim to his/her religion.
