Dear Forumnites,

Tahiyyatiy Al-Islam,

It?s been long since I peeped in here. I am sorry please. It is the exigencies of our time. We are young and must learn to earn a leaving. Gone were days when we asked for sustainance from our parents.  But I sincerely hope that  I cannot afford to be absent for such a long time again.  I have seen that much water has passed under the bridge since it first saw the light of the day. Many topics of interests have been discussed ranging from - the controversial cartoons depicting the most praised person in the annals of history, Prophet of Islam, in a very bad test, by that Danish Newspaper; the reaction of the various Muslim nations to it; and the series of reactions that followed by different Muslim groups in many countries across the globe; and the counter reactions of those who do not view the issue with the spectacle of sympathy in favor of the Muslims -  to other numerous topics that have direct bearing to the present socio-political condition of the people of  Nigeria.

I have also noticed the coming back of our complacent but interesting friend Mr. Jack Fulcher after a long break since our heated but fruitful debate about the nature of Islamic laws and their epistemology, especially as they related to the case Amina Lawal, an adulteress that was ?awarded? death sentence in a local Shari?a court in Katsina State, Nigeria, over a case of adultery, which she admitted having committed.

These are are the two links for the debates for those who may want to review:

          http://www.hausafulani.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=125

I hope his stay will continue to provoke series of interesting debates. I think our discourses here or elsewhere, though might not change anything in the flow of activities locally or globally or even in our thought processes, may, certainly improve the way we see one another and influence the final statement of verdict we pass on events, circumstances, groups and individuals we interact with on daily basis.

I must mention that I have seen how the web admin dealt with some posters who were not gracious in their comments with open insults and fabricated lies against the person of the noble Prophet of Islam. I must say also that I would have preferred that the rules banning discussion on religions like Christianity vs Islam were not imposed. Let every discussion be handed over to the forumnites. They are capable of restraining everybody. I can still remember how the more reasonable posters here contained and ?reformed? people like Mr. Jack Fulcher, Mallamt, Usman11, Al-Hamza and many others who made it their onus to attack the persons and personalities of either individual forumnites or their sacred faiths. These ?reformed? people now often make the most reasonable, civil and life-changing-points in discussions relating to the purpose of humankind on earth.

Finally I will like to say that I will be ready to re-discuss the issues of the cartoons and the Muslim reactions to it on this thread attending to those informed contributions from well meaning forumnites who may find me worth discussing the subject matter with. I will also want to say that I really missed all of you: MacEwan Hill, Lionger, Mallamt, Admin, EMTL, Maqari, Mr. Fulcher, Alhaji Amin, Layla, Hafsy, Ummita, zizo, Bakangizo, dan kauye and the rest. I notice also the coming of new members like Husna, Idris, dee and many who skipped my eyes, may we keep kanoOnline and may KanoOnline keep us in the shadows of God.

Thank you once again,

I remain most grateful, most loyal.

These were the same reasons why the website does not get updated as often as I would like on my part. Welcome back _Waziri_!

That's great!

Admin, EMTL and Husnaa, thank you for the warm reception. I am presently on transit in the Eastern part of Nigeria. Hope to board the Saturday plane to the North and my office where I will be settled enough to attend the issues at hand on forum. Till then, wish me a safe travel and may Allah bless us all.

HUSNAA

In this day and age of nigerian plane travel, you need all the addu'a you can make. Allah Ya maida kai gida lafiya, Amin. I am sure I speak on behalf of everyone.
