I was born to the hausa states,
          at the middle of the Sahara and the Kalihari.
I was fed by the breasts of love,
                                by the empire of Kanuri.
I drank from the Pharoah's Nile,
                 Askia's Niger and  the Zulu's Zambezi.
I fed by blessed lands of Kenya,
                             The fertile lands  Mozambique.
I found courage and became a man,
    at the cameroon mountains and great trees of Zaire.
I became accomplished,
            at the universal university of Timbuktu.
With this, no questions  
                 I am an African.
