Me and My friends had a wonderful moment with the people of Ghana .They are very friendly and caring. Only that they are afraid of us (Nigerians) because suna tsoron 'Wanki' wato 419 na mutanen mu.

They don't have Okada people kamar yadda muke dasu kamar 'ya 'yan kaji. Idan ba za ka hau Taxi ba to shike nan.

For a whole week there was no power failure unlike my country.
Street hawking is really an abomination!!!!!

My Lebanese friend Emad Yassin was asked to drop out of our Bus . He was asked to show his international passport. Unfortunately, he was only carrying his Nigerian Identity. Holala!!!! The security operatives thought he was a terrorist!!!!!!!

It was Reallyyyyy Reallyyy Sweetie..................................

Can any one recall the Shagari days when Ghanians flooded lagos looking for work as houseboys and the women ending up as u know what.
It got to a point where they were chased out in droves by security men and escorted to the border with their belongings in huge polythene bags or "ghana must go" of senate fame.

Wallahi I knew I a Ghanian driver called Henrywho refused to leave then saying his country was more or less dead. He finally went back home in 1987 when things started picking up and started buying electronics from Alaba in Lagos to take to Ghana to sell. This guys is now big even by Nigerian standards and has a chain of shops in Accra.

Do you all know that Ghana attracts more foreign investment than all the other west african countries including big for nothin you know who? And I bet old Kuffor didnt have to travel the world with an estacode sapping battalion of aides in expensive suits and diamond studded watches to achieve this either. They just created a conducive environment.

Funny you should mention your lebanese friends encounter, Ghana also has a sizeable lebanese population but they are not treated like superior untouchable cronies who are above the law,and if you engage in funny deals an example is made out of you , period!

I hope Nura also witnessed the housing boom going on there which is a good indicator of a healty economyu , and im talking good quality decent housing with excellent infrasatucture supported by a robust mortgage system.

Any way maybe one day we'll reminisce about the dark days in our own dear Naija when things get better. If Ghana can do it , why cant  we??

Kit kat what I really saw there was quite astounding. When i tried to compare their own set of people with ours, there is a wide gap btw us. They respect humanity more dan( we) Nigerians. If u want to make phone calls all u need is to go to d operator and deposit your money. He'll punch d numbers 4 u and u wud pick d phone and call whereever u want to call. While calling u will c your money reading down i. e if u give 100 bucks it will be reducing to 99, 98 etc.And if u have any change with him u go back and collect it from him. In this kind of condition how can  corruption be allowed to reign for good ness sake????

About d housng u talked about, all most every average Ghanaian has a good shelter and accomadation. Though like u said they were once pauperised but Rawlings has done alot for his Radical reforms in d country.
At Ghana University ( University of Lagoon) u need to see student's hostel.
Believe u me u wud assume as if u are inside Nicon Noga hotel Abuja. U konow things there are working unlike my lawaless country. In fact I was really down when I recall our crrent predicaments.

Fateez believe u me they are not as corrupt as my people. Things there are working beyond ur imaginations!!! University of Lagoon ( Ghana university) is really a place that one wud like to be.Above all d people are easy going and down to earth. Only that they are afraid of Nigerians!!!!! Their own english is really perfect. In fact, I was a product of their training. My primary school teacher was Ghanaian.

Fateez, I have forgotten to tell u about d beautiful places we've visited. Though I was in haste when Iresponded to you but when I saw u mentioning your music teacher, It  occured to me about d Rita Marley's theatre(Bob Marleys wife) dat we were opportuned to go . There, we could not be allowed entrance 'cos she was not around. We were told dat she traveled but My friend was smart to raise his camera up d studio just to snap d inner side of d studio.

Another interesting place we visited was d Kwame Nkruma's square. Lucky us to see dat it was his birth day.  We rejoice together with d ghanaians. Again, one  of our ports of call was d  museum. There we saw.........lol!!!!!!Kin dai gane?
