It is surprising that nobody brings up this topic in this forum! Are we tired of celebrating the independence day? At least at 48 India was able to shoot a rocket to the moon? Is this right? What has Nigeria been able to achieve at 48? :) :) :) :) :)

LOL...Jibo. I think we don get tired of celebrating this futile and trivia Independence Day. I can remember last year, I was the one that started a thread akin to this. But, I eventually or rather barely got handful of replies.

OK!Let's discuss with the same spirit expressed in Independence Day. A country like our own is under threat! What has the President got to  sacrifice to save the country as demonstration of patriotism not only to his country but to humanity? What experts do we employ from all walks of life to salvage Nigeria? Can the President give us a practical inspiring speech and action for emolution as did the President in Independence Day? We need people who are movers and shakers of souls and hearts! Listen to the speech of the President in Independence Day! We need a strong willed and practical president to solve our rpoblems. Nigeria! Have we got that?! or CAN WE MAKE IT OUT OF OUR PRESIDENT?!Can we fight the Martians of our socila and economic problems? We are faced with a complex and hydra-headed monster of social, political and economic ailment. SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS and more! :o :o :o

Its so sad for naija but you know sometimei dont really blame nigerians for not supporting or celebrating its independence, i don't because not everyone will take the pains of supporting or praising a nation or rather a government that does not support him, we are all entitled to basic amenities like free education and health support, but we are denyied that, and now even the water and electricity is gone, we have to do everything else by ourselves, so how do you celebrate a country that does not recognise you?

Well said Muda. Na ce problem lies with gwamnati, muhsin takes an holier than thou attitude and becomes condenscending! Shi da aka haifa jiya telling us that the problem with us is that we blame all our woes on mr president....
Kuma Jibo u are very correct. Unless we take the bull by the horns, we'd just have to wait for the mahdi. That is precisely what Muhsin wants I presume ::)

Allah ya bada hakura, BIG MAMA! Gaskiya can come out of anyones mouth/thought. Was 'Yar-Adua an oldest Nigerian? And thats why he's given Nigeria to govern? Think NO, huh? Thus, put this aside. Thats one.

And beside, you are ONE and only person on this board that had rather tirelessly been encouraging me to be xpressing my views whenever I feel deem to. Har kika kara ko critisicm ne indai is constructive. Amma wannan maganar taki ai is enfeeble, really.

No offence. Nima ko kdan ban ji haushi ba. Just meant to remind you of yerster time.

Thanks :)

Now, you see the problems of Nigeria take one to go thro history, practical experience and a lot of discussion for one to appreciate. A young man of today can appreciate it, if he has done alot of readings and faces a lot of challenges! 8) 8) 8) Nigeria does not need an older person to solve its problems! It needs  a person with relevant philosophical and ideological mind, practical and understanding to face the bull by the horn! or is it by the Head? ;D :D
