IT'S NOW OPEN TO ALL THAT THERE IS MARKED MISUNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE NFA AND THE SPORT MINISTRY. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE DOING WHAT HE IS DOING FOR THE SAKE OF THE NATION?

Well, the Sport Ministry in Nigeria is actually "lording" it over the NFA. The FIFA Statute said Countries FA's should be run independently and free from undue interferance from the govt. If I remember correctly there was a time FIFA threatened to sanction Nigeria b'cos the NFA was politicised and the Fed. Govt, via the Sport Ministry, was virtually running the football house. I believe what is happening now is that the govt. is hell bent on seeing that  Alh. I. Galadima did not return to the NFA as chairman. An election was held in Kano where Galadima got re-elected. The Sport Ministry prompty called the election a charade, sealed the NFA Headquarters in Abuja on a ridiculous pretence that the building may be vandalised by 'Area Boys' due to people's displeasure on how the election was conducted. It then mobilised State FA's who issued a statement annuling the election (don't know if they have the constitutional powers to do that), and fixed another date in February for a fresh election.

Mu namu kallo ne kawai yanzu.

Of course he has his fault, just like anyone. The issue is he was being crusified for the Eagles inability to qualify for the world cup. To the Sport Ministry and the southern dominated press, the veiled accusation was Galadima's decision to take the Nigeria-Angola qualifier to his home town Kano which, according to them, was not condusive for the lazy, over-pampered eagles players. To them the world cup ticket was lost in that one all draw in Kano. That was his crime. And he must hang for it.
