Kano State Police Commissioner   yesterday led senior officers of command to the hideouts of thugs (Yan Daba) in the metropolis and declared 150 wanted.

During the tour of the hideouts, the commissioner, Ibrahim Mamman Chafe, explained that the essence of the operation was to identify their hide outs with a view to arresting them within the shortest time.

According to a statement issued by the command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Baba Muhammed, the notorious among them include Auwalu France, Shehu Ubaila, Shu'aibu, Babawo alias Zarto and Aminu Dan Small.

He stated that the commissioner has directed the divisional officers of the affected areas to take over the hideouts of the thugs, and assured on checking  their activities.

He explained that  citizens must be allowed to enjoy their freedom of movement.

It would be recalled that early this year the police raided  hideouts near a dangerous pond, beside the famous Gidan Murtala in the Kano metropolis, more than 100 thugs were arrested
