General Board / Poem:similar ?pretext? war (War in Lebanon)
« on: August 29, 2006, 01:36:45 PM »
Its a poem I see written by one of our (other) forum's member, which again I think some of us here will find it good to read. It really deficted one of the topic we have been for long discussing on this board.
Lets share!

Robes and furred gowns hid all similar "pretext" war

And incident opened up the floodgates of violence

Like "Bush" giving legal cover for invading a country

Through Iraq sinew of flesh my poem once pieced

Changing the strategic playing field in the Middle East

In love- the second coming the Israeli proclaims

A legitimate act of self-defense against "terrorists"

with a tacit agreement that the timing is right

And in the "burning bush" Hitler I see once against

And the Lebanese children were the warriors' shield

Against lama from heaven landing as bombs

an immediate justification in 1958 or these lost painful years

Whatever the outrage on the Arab streets

Prophesied by an African in a German zoo

There is no denying the Iran led-relationship

Were we see "Echoes of the Gulf" once again

thansk

General Board / Please Admin. call this to notice!
« on: August 07, 2006, 11:09:19 AM »
I actually experience that, there are some people whose post in this Forum is just copying i.e from newspapers, magazines, websites etc. and pasting. To me, in particular, this is unwise. Just write down your own thoughts, view, insight, etc on whatever(meaningful issue) comes to your mind. :!:

And again. Some of these posts are even huge. Mhn! what a a bad thing? But I don't know or other members are appreciaitng this :(

Please do not copy and paste huge tracts of text, you shouldn't need more than a few sentences, or maybe one paragraph, to make your point in reference to the topic/discussion.

General Board / Agony of Arrogance
« on: July 20, 2006, 04:17:35 PM »

Intuitively, a number of people?s belief toward beauty, wealth, or talent is just a gift -special gift given by God to some few selected people on this planet, and let others with none, not because He doesn?t like them, but that is His wish. And so I do.

Regretfully enough, some rotten eggs, whom this present is given to, think that; it?s because of difference -transcendental one, that is between them and those that don?t have it, that is why they were chosen to posses it specifically

Two above paragraphs are simply exposing about a kind of unreasonable arrogance of some bad sheep among us. What a melancholy?

Briefly, it?s one of my female-friend?s streak nature of arrogance, which is almost always burning every corner of my heart that inspired me to write this piece. I don?t have an iota of doubt that; I have come to a good haven. Our thoughtful forum members would be able to suggest the way of curing this pandemic.

What do you think is the reason behind this attitude?

General Board / Exam: A Test of Knowledge?
« on: July 15, 2006, 11:43:05 AM »
Apparently, Scholars and general public on the term ?exam? a diverse, opinionated and deep-thinkers group were at one with one another in their view on it, and this view is that: its purpose is to test someone?s knowledge on spoken or written aspects. I am an exception on that matter, really exception. The exception that proves the rule is a certain experience I recently gained.

Viz.:

Despite my friend?s remarkable hunker-down to pass his exam for re-making his past deficiency, he lugubriously failed to re-make it and wonderingly enough, some of his student whom they coincidently sat that very exam together fortunately made it well.

Thus, this odd against odds enfeebled incalculable numbers of peoples? effort and hope toward the thought of passing exam. It also built a tangible remonstrative feeling in me on what others are saying about exam as the test of knowledge.

Sincerely, who is then supposed to be blamed? Himself? Exam body? Or God?

I, as an individual with a unique mood of acceptance and comprehension, think that the reason behind this is a case that needs not to blame anybody. Exam is not a test of knowledge but lucky, so, just pray to be lucky at the moment of marking your scripts.

This is my view my fellow good people. What?s yours?
