? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Cry of a thousand years
Afar i can still hear the crys
The crys of a thousand years
In my heart i still bear the pain
The pain of deception
There lived the reign of slavery
Call it the reign of terror
Better still the reign of injustice and hatred
With a journey across the Atlantic
They(White race) infilterated like a plague of locust
All in hope of exploiting the lower breed
A time of darkness and despair
A time mother Africa shed many tears
Tears that ran through the nile
More like clouds packed in a pile
Our black brothers were maltreated
Left to wither and deprived of better days
yes there lived the reign of slavery

Fulani Poet

Old slave trade across the Atlantic, neoslavery in modern times and inequity and injustice in the land, you have captured it all in a succinct poem. Well done!
