security asleep
thugs celebrate
danger,catastrophe,hopelessness
unveils!

the flesh of governance
dissolves
the smell of leadership
stinks
election,continuity
prioritised
the soul of chaos
resurrects

cry! where lies the
Guardian at the centre
yesterday in the gutter of sweat
Today the Tribune of the people
corruption they must Punch
as the Vanguard of public Trust
pledged!

the poem prays for the Triumph
of the nation Thisday
may the unseen help build a
New Nigerian
Daily Independent
of crises
