where needles are the hoes
for the farming of words

how worrying is it to be
where the bow and arrow
are centuries apart

how lonely is it to be
where once conscience
is his mummy and dad

how surprising is it to be
where intelligence is an ogre
in the supermarket of books

how degrading is to be
where morality is a stranger
in an assembly of youth

how perplexing is it to be
where scorpions are the letters
on the keyboard of hope

how sad is it to be
where the pen frowns
in the theatre of poems
