The problem with diabetes today is that most people do not pay attention to the cause of the disease, but rather try to treat the symptoms. The medication given to diabetics seems to worsen or further complicate the problem. The best way to manage your diabetic condition is to address the actual cause. The first step is to switch your body from out-of-control, nutrient depleting and fat storing machine into a clean, nutrient rich, fat burning machine.
Diabetic is a chronic condition that impairs the body ability to use food. Diabetic have problem processing dietary carbohydrates (such as bread, potatoes, sweets, etc.). It is a disease of insulin deficiency or resistant. In a healthy body, insulin acts as a key, unlocking cells and allowing glucose to enter and fuel the cells. The reason why this key is resistant and doesn't do the job is because of the improper structure from the wrong building material for insulin receptors on the cell membrane. The cell membrane has to have the right kind of fats for the key to sense the insulin receptor site on the cell membrane along with vitamins and minerals.
Poorly controlled diabetes can lead to many complications. Excess sugar in the blood poison the system by wearing out all cells in the process called oxidation. Oxidation increases the aging process by rusting the nerve cells which causes nerve damage, leading to tingling and painful nerves called neuropathy, damage the blood vessels in the eyes called retinopathy. This can lead to blindness. It can also cause kidney failure by starving the kidney called nephropathy, damage to the bladder and intestines, causes ulcers on legs and feet which leads to gangrene. It can also cause poor circulation to the legs. There are two main ways to classify the causes of diabetes. Primary and secondary causes are further classified into specific root causes.
             1) Primary Causes of Diabetes
                      A. Heredity
Diabetes can be inherited from family member.
                      B. Long term diets high in carbs. can cause diabetes.
                      C. Nutritional deficiencies
            2) Secondary Causes of Diabetes
                      A. Weight
obesity can cause the pancreas to be resistant to insulin.
                      B. Pregnancy
Pregnancy add extra stress on the body thereby increasing the production of hormones and estrogen that antagonizes insulin. Also women who deliver babies weighing more than 4 kg or have repeated miscarriages are likely to have diabetes. Pregnancy increase glucose intolerance to the body.
                    C. Emotional Stress and Physical Trauma
Prolonged elevation on the stress hormones cortisol, epinephine, glycogen, etc., raising demand on the pancreas. In addition to the main causes, pancreatic diseases, drug reaction, hormone disturbances, and some viruses causes diabetes. Certain insulin dependent diabetes are viruses in origin.
Due to high carbohydrate diet, your cells have been bombarded with so much insulin that those doors begin to malfunction and shut down. Therefore, your body produces more insulin to push the glucose into the cell. As this cycle continues, a condition known as insulin resistance settles in. The insulin resistance can get so bad, that the body can no longer produce enough insulin. The blood sugar then rises out of control resulting in Type 2 diabetes. And this is the reason why diabetics get so tired. Too much of insulin also causes your body to become deficient in many vitamins and other nutrients. Too much craving of sugar comes from chromium deficiency. Other very important nutrients which insulin causes you to be deficient in are zinc, selenium, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, B-Complex Vitamins, and Essential fatty acids. Calcium and magnesium are also depleted by excess insulin.
