Police in New York City are hunting down the murderer of a pretty 19-year-old Nigerian woman found savagely stabbed to death in her plush Manhattan hire rise flat.
Ifeyinwa Ikechukwu, who was found dead at about 11:30 a.m. last Wednesday in her fourth-floor apartment worked as an escort, or high priced prostitute and advertised her services in local newspapers police sources said.
The voluptuous victim, Ikechukwu who worked also took on the name Tiffany," for work also advertised on an adult Web site, the sources said.
But Ikechukwu, who was repeatedly stabbed repeatedly in the chest and throat, was trying to become a legitimate model or an actress, and several private modeling photographs were found in the $2,000-a-month flat which had been ransacked.
The woman, who emigrated to the United States in 1994, "had vicious fights with her boyfriend at all hours of the night," according to a neighbor. "It was just very violent," said the woman. "He would always degrade her."
There was no forced entry into her home which often indicates that the victim was acquainted with the killer.
Several of her grief stricken family members however expressed anger over several news reports that depicted her as a prostitute. they said their "Floro" was a student at the city's Fashion Institute of Technology. :)
