is it a necessary vice
Though a suppliment to life
Requires not ones strives

its pleasures derived
Should blind not ones mind
Its sensiblity understood
Should save ones life from ruin

Like thunderbolt it strikes
when let to override ones life
destroying in one, self restrain

Leaving one a victim to every vice
Unuseful even to oneself
Victim of indulgence paying the price
How then is it a necessary vice
