I actually experience that, there are some people whose post in this Forum is just copying i.e from newspapers, magazines, websites etc. and pasting. To me, in particular, this is unwise. Just write down your own thoughts, view, insight, etc on whatever(meaningful issue) comes to your mind. :!:

And again. Some of these posts are even huge. Mhn! what a a bad thing? But I don't know or other members are appreciaitng this :(

Please do not copy and paste huge tracts of text, you shouldn't need more than a few sentences, or maybe one paragraph, to make your point in reference to the topic/discussion. :idea:

Where did you spring from Muhsin? What is so wrong about copying and pasting? Has anyone ever claimed to be the author of what he copied and pasted? If the answer is yes, the u have grounds for complaint, but as far as I know, I havent come across a thread/topic in this forum where some one plagiarized someone's work. So what's eating you?

What I'm talking about is to those who use to copy huge tracks and paste in without looking at it's impotance to the people. Those who just feel interested over a certain news they read which is not likely to interest others, or I should simlpy say;Meaningless topic.
Moreso, I am not talking about claiming ownership of a piece but a general view of it's pros and cons.

Take a look at it my elder sister, wallahi it isn't good.

Husnaa, na wah O! I am with you. I do not understand his beef either. At first he complained about people copying news and pasting it. Then he said they paste huge tracks of news without reviewing its importance. I am lost.

Muhsin, why don't you just cut to the chase. List the unimportant topics that you consider meaningless. This way, we know exactly what you are talking about. Right now, you are not very clear, and I just want to understand where you are coming from. Keep in mind also, that an issue you might consider unimportant might be quite important to someone else. Simply because you feel a certain way does not mean others would feel that way. So bearing that in mind, you need to learn to respect other people's perspective.

By the way, do you mind showing us some of the important articles you have posted?

I'm not very clear uh? Is it what you said? You need to re-read my post and then you may gist it.
And, remember I 'm not a small kid to say directly so-so post that is post by so-so person is meaningless. What do you think this person will look me like.....think my bro.
You again talk about my post. I'm not honestly saying all my post are meaningful (though they may be so to some, not to all) but sincerely almost all of them, to my own assesment, are so.
To answer your question that I make myself unclear. I talked about two problems: Copying and pasten & Posting huge tracks.
You need to re-read as I said earlier.

Muhsin, you are not making a world of sense here. Apparently you're not happy with what you deem the copying and pasting of huge chunks of meaningless and irrelevant information, yet you refuse to point to specific examples. I think you will have to bite the bullet here and oblige Ete, and noone (hopefully) will think any less of you. A while ago EMTL started a thread on the subject of unmarried parents in Europe which was considered irrelevant by many of those who responded. None of them chided EMTL. So I challenge you once again to be specific, if not I daresay this thread runs the risk of being altogether meaningless itself. :!:

Muhsin, what are you talking about? I'm sorry you found my post too harsh, but I fail to see how that can be. Let me repeat myself again: vague posturing won't get you or any of us anywhere. Please point out the offending threads to us on this forum. I understand that you're concerned about hurting people's feelings in the process, but you shouldn't let that stop you. We're all mature people on this site (i think) and should be able to handle such things. I pointed to EMTL's thread as an example. Again, please tell us what threads you feel are irrelevant and unimportant to us here. As it is, no-one here quite understands what you're saying.
