Ninety percent of them are muslims, Engr? Though I have never been there but I really doubt your estimation. Even if thats correct...I can rightly say they don't behave like muslims, do they?

And as I heard, yanzu kura ta lafa. No more violence. Allah ya jikan musulman da suka rigamu.

Haba Muhsin, how dare you dispute the statistics as
as Engineer puts it? you did not give a contrary statistic
rather.  The best thing for you to do is to do your own
research on Igbiras then you have the chance of
disputing with any fact as stated here.

You also confessed you have never been to Kogi and
still you doubt the estimation and the worst of all you
went ahead to allege that even if that is correct then
they dont behave like Muslims.  Are you telling us that
these people dont say their five times prayer? or what?

I am putting you under a strictest interrogation and if you
cant prove your points I demand you apologise to all
the Muslim Igbiras in the world.  Because I am sure no
Muslim Igbira that will see this post and like it.

DB, Why I said what I said is that; I've been living with lots of these tribe people and you cannot, except if you're told, say they are muslims. Yet they do prayer but other things...sai a hankali. They dress like non-muslims, behave between their males and females like non-muslims, and do many unmentionable things.

Any way, my APOLOGY. But its my real knowledge/experience I have about them I stated above.

Muhsin just because the few people you know or live with don't practise islam as you deem fit for them does not mean all of them are like that.
You will be highly surprised if you see some of your hausa/kano guys and babes za ka sha mamaki.

Ibiras are some of the people that are very passionate about islam.

Gogannaka, na yarda da abinda ka ce. Already I stated it that thats the knowledge I have about them. And no more. But what you guys said added me more, now.

And to the mention of their girls' love experience and style; I suspect yours is also Ibira, isn't she?  ::) ;D

LOL...Husnaa ke da kika ce ni ba zan iya sa baki a irin wannan maganar ba.

My best friend is married to an Egbira girl thats all.

Regarding violence, the egbira as much as they are passionate about the religion, can be very violent.
During that time when riots frequently occur on university campuses,i know BUK for sure, the Egbira were the ones that almost always lead the rioters. I think(not sure) there was a time that BUK had to place some sort of embargo on admitting Kogi state indigenes.
Dan haka don't pray to get locked in Okene when there's any kind of unrest.
I learnt that even the police had to send a signal to the government to send soldiers to Okene during the election violence....Allah ya kyauta.
