Nigerian musician supports Miss World rioters

LONDON, Nov 22 (Reuters) - An outspoken Nigerian jazz musician on Friday voiced his support for the riots in his home country against the Miss World competition that have already killed more than 100 people.

"I am disgusted. Nigeria has bigger problems than bringing Miss World to Nigeria," saxophonist Femi Kuti, the 40-year-old elder son of ground-breaking Nigerian jazz-funk band leader Fela Anikulapo-Kuti told the BBC World Service's Newshour programme.

"Shouldn't African governments stop exploiting the people. What they are doing is evil, so I am not surprised. The people involved in that have my total support and sympathy and I will even encourage them from wherever I am on stage," he added.

fine, I don't get the article. He seems to be in to postion at the same time. he is saying that Nigeria have more serious problem than bringing miss worl to the nation, but later on he's saying I'm supporting people of what they are doing. Who is he supporting? the people who disagree of having miss world in nigeria or the people who want miss world in nigeria?

Mhmm...Gimbiya, I think he's supporting the people against having miss world in Naija...cause he stated that Nigeria has other problems than to bring in the contest into the country and so he has his full support for the riot  :D
