The need for chartered Accountants in Kano

It is hightime that we have a deliberate policy of producing qualified accountants of the state origin. It is disheartening to note that it has become an accepted "fact" (albeit wrongly) that however much you try the ICAN exams you cannot pass same. Is it not rather that we always prefer the easiest way out? With current proposal by some people that only chartered accountants be posted as Directors of Finance in Federal Ministries, we may be in for a real surprise.

On the other hand there's need for a concerted effort to encourage those that are willing to take the exams at all costs.

Its never too late to start.
