I like baruti's ender!! I have just seen this thread and I think it makes intresting reading and funny somewhat.  I personally believe that Indabawas response was in reaction to the manner and tone that mrguest used to raise his question, and I understand Indabawas reaction. I must say I am extremely impressed with ummitas input on the discussion and her desire for fairness, she has given us food for thought. Being a minority should not be the reason to ignore or disregard a group I think we must be very careful of that we will be infringing on peoples rights.  Can you imagine the western world refusing islam a voice just because they are a minority?  I think Eskimo and baruti raised important points vis when then do we then stop adding?  I laughed when I read barutis posting about including a maguzawas forum, but to think of it that might no be a bad idea maybe admin should look at the viability of such.  Anyway back to the topic, I think mrguest did not raise his point in a manner it can be appreciated as a concern and acted on, secondly I doubt the viability of such a forum.

Eskimo, Baruti was right. Secularism is the problem not Christianity. The refrence you made to some places inthe Bible is also correct but the fact remains that they are never accepted as good actions by Christians; they are never believed to be part of the law.

Remember the Roman Catholic Church, till this day, never relented on its fight against secularism and freemasonry which are the banner holders of todays world. Read my article, published today, 10th September, 2004, by New Nigeria in its Islamic Column .

Eskimo,

I'm sorry, but it is my humble opinion that you have overstepped the boundaries of reasonable logic once again. Since this thread deals with our sensitivity to other faiths, correcting gross (and in this case curiously lazy) misrepresentations of other faiths surely is not out of place. However to thoroughly answer all your points would be quite too cumbersome. Therefore, I'll say to you what my Lord said said to the Pharisees: Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a correct judgement! Think about it  :D

All protocols duly observed!!!! Mr. Guest, one thing that you've to remember is that there is a way you are supposed to table your complaints. But the way you abruptly vomit your request was quite uncivilised perhaps that could be a factor to my friend's (Indabawa's) sudden outburst. However, one thing has  to be made clear here and it is in the best interest of all of us. Islam and christianity are religions that preach peace and tranquility. I wonder why some people want to be mischievous in trying to identify with these religions. First and foremost you've  a case and by way of social and intellectual reasoning, you are right to demand for inclusion of christian section, it is therefore quite unbecoming to start giving it an incisive title.

Politely one can ask for example, "Mr. Admin kindly allow a space for other religions. For i noticed that it is only Islam that is  given a space etc." Now  left for admin to come out and give you reasons for doing so. If his reasons are not sufficient, one can go and say whatever he/she wants to say. And if we do not forget this kind of approach has caused alot of misunderstanding, violence, conflicts, anarchy, intolerance, irreligion, mayhem, disaster, catastrophe, brutalities, vandetta and so on and so forth. One may end up writing things that can get him out of his religious duties and God will never take it lightly.

I therefore urge my friend  Mr. Guest to please tread sofly and get what he wants rather than exchanging grammar between him and my acquainted friend (Indabawa). The duo should know that two wrongs can never make a right. And in any resolution process there must be consensus ad idem i.e coming together of two minds to agree on certain things.

o try and fail is atleast to learn. That will save one the inestimable loss of what might have been (positive or negative).
