Not only Telly,musical tracks also containin explicit contents (Eminem 4 a fact)!!!!!!Kidz & Telly these days..... kids watch tv shows 'n' try 2 copy/act them.. programmes like star wars last yr April had a kid butchered/slayed him mum with a kitchen knife(luckinly enuf, she survived but havin scars 4 d rest of her livin life) A kid ty'ien up a piece of material round his neck n jumpin off his staircase followin his role model as super man 'n' havin broken arms. Three!! 10 yr old kidz in UK gang rapin a nursery gurl kid..after watchin films like that!!!!!!!(Am not really gud @handlin kidz) ;DI tried 2 stuff my freinds child in2 bed, he refuses I threated him with "u go 2 sleep or d vamps r gonna suck out ur blood") he simply replied by.......... I'll scream 'n' buffy will be here... who!!!!! wat?? Sarah Michelle, that human that mortal....that actin kung fu lil gurl!!!... C how buffy d slayerz programme has brainwashed d minds of a lil boy!!!!!!! ok.... takin a wlk... overhead a lil gurl converse with her mum "u c that frog there, mum, if I give it a kiss.. its gonna turn in2 a hansome prince.... u c ppl even carton programmes.. lets take Futurama with them characters (ppl) as one eyed... it symbolises Ameraicanz.. So I head they r members of d free mansins (dunno a jack whether its true or not). The Simpson as well.... very violent act scenes. I luv Tom & Jerry... but who is with me?!!! when I say its very violent,,,but they use funny acts 2 cover up.. Violent programmes or those containin explicit content does not only affect kidz even grown up.... A mid twenties..ish guy filled his gas tank with nitrate gas or so.... went on a speedy ride..with a couple of freind & had himself killed. U aske me.... d guy was tryin 2 take up roles in (fast 'n' d furious). Now d big one, how many have set out study hrs but end up in watchin hrs.... havin sum one shout out u missed his act but end up missin d stool behind u and stumblin over (missin out a scene or missin out d table!!). Glued 2 d tv n 4got 2 run an important errands.Yeah !! I also heard that Hausa films.. Kano ppl du has affected alot of hausa's... now!! it has reached d x-tend that a gurl will sing up line from a hausa film song jus 2 show him that she cares........ ;D Oh lord of mercy!!!, duz life get eni beta than this.......lol,lol,  I have a freind who has stayed without telly 4 d past 3yrs now!!!!!!!!!!!! n d other freindy I have, unsubscribed all channels xcept discovery!!! Boy!!! I might diconnect all xcept MTV. Ahamed Deedat has only 1 telly 2 watch Islamic issues, so I heard. Can we do that as well. Or we rather have d telly waste most valuable timin schedule and mislead d society & our rayuwa as well... I have 2 run off... Ushers' sleeve note cumin up in a few mins tym!!!!.

PLEASE I do not understand why a proper English can not be used so that many of the visitors to this site and Forum can read, understand and comprehend what you are writing. If people can not read what you write, then they can not educated by and respond to your topic in any meaningful way.

Television has indeed taken a huge space in our daily lives.Even we the adults, some of us have nothing to think of after lectures rather to catch a movie, or watch what ever is of our interest. Biggest of all problems is children. A child would gladly willingly watch tv with out having someone to beg him/her...Tell them off to Islamiya school. Ehen...problem will start. Films where you have a 10yr old kid challenging the parents or pouring out abuses had my friends brother tryin it out on his mum...kunga Islamically ma ba'ayi supporting kallon tv. How can we help..especially the younger generation?????

Well, what do you know... Television. yes it has washed up the minds of we the humans, not only television, Internet and Tv kind of go hand in hand. Now a days some young adults  have this phobia of watching pronograpghy at a yound age, which In my sayings is unIslamic no matter the age. Honestly, speaking ko su turawa dake producing films.. they do rate it.. for example (PG) parental guidance ko? Why in the first place produce something then set a border line to the age group to watch it. Obviously, is because sun san ba kyau. Young muslim boyz most especially go to film clubs to rent dirty movies and we stand ahead  and watch them. Our children, & young onces watch films and learn offensive materials such as offensice language.. bad behaviours and violence.One sits round the TV with his/her family to watch something nice, but one ends up blushing, turning ur face or doing a hundred meters relay fr the remote control & being embarrased about what your kids just saw and then they ask wat was that daddy? How on earth does one explains that?  Am not sayin no more watching TV to everyone, but how can we minimise the need to watch TV? Television all in all has affected no other rather the younger generation. So how can we put a stop to that?

Ive already made up my mind to BAN my kids from TV and even the internet will be under my strict watch!!! HEY they are kids even the internet, the wont know what it is!!!!

Am absolutely with everyone here...but I dont think we can ban TV Its impossible... Idan kikayi baning dinsu from watchin TV... akwai..cinema's, it is available, going over to a friends house to catch a movies!!! How about that. Why not set like
TV watching hrs and then check on films in a way be on patrol!! Am totally against TV as well & I happen to fall in to the captivity of my favourite channels MTV. And to think straight at th end of the day where is it taking me? ba lada, am ot going to be paid ...just absolutely nothing. To me it leads us to so many bad things in life. Our children most importantly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets tlk about freinds vs influence (peer pressure) I am a mother of twelve 'n' have trained my kids 2 d best of my ability. They went out with a couple of freindz....say one speaks up lets watch a movie over @ my place. My million eyez will follow? Or wud I still sum up my self as a good mum who shudnt worry wat my kidz r up 2 behind closed doors??. But brilliant point ladies!! ;)

Taking all your points in to consideration.Drastic changes in lives of people have been caused by this so called electric user that shows fake acting  images have in all wayz changed so many lives. I am obliged to inform you that television cannot I repeat cannot be banned from kids talkless of WE the adults. .Simply because we just cannot... Being the minister of television affairs...I noticed how my fellas watch unsuitable things like pornogranphy, action packed films and later its copycat time!! TV, Television,Telly,The box or what ever it is called. Wallahi Tallahi na Rantse da Allah it has in everyway believe it or not touched ur hearts....talking of my self wanting to be Slyvester Stallone when I was a little boy. All to be said here is truly Tv is what I could rationally term as a hypnotiser. Once you become hypnotised by the tv, it then turns you in to a tv addict. Once you are a tv addict, you start copy catting and then again you want to be labelled as a role model from a tv sitcom. What have you got at the end. You want to be some one, but you are somebody. Being unappreciative by the way God has created one or what? TV turns alot of people in to copy cats. I alwayz like copy catting Racheal from (freindz) :-X

Physiologically, it affects the minds. The 1998/1996, Massacare that happened in U.S.A It was because a guy watched a serial killer movie and then he decideds to give a little practise on a high school, killing more than 2o students.

People try to hang theirselves these dayz because they are
bored with life. I will have to go with the impact of TV, which causes these ill acts and negligence

To be honest, I will not bann my children from watching tv. Ifact I will sti with them to watch just about ANYTHING. beacuse curiostiy drives children wild. If you sit with them telling them what is right and what is wrong they can learn. The only thing I will not allow my children to watch is porn. That is haram, that our religion turn its back on things like that.

But action compact/violent and alot more I will allow them for my reason are up above and we need the tv to pass informations, we need ebntertainment after stressed out with uni life or work. Without tv life would be boringgggggggggggggggg

I would not allow my children to watch tv for 4 good hours that is mad shortieeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!
