THE PROGRAM

The Distinguished Scholars Lecture Series is an annual program that is put on by IHYA Foundation to benefit from the teachings and blessings of the company of the heirs of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the scholars.  

This year IHYA Foundation will be joining hands with ISNA Canada in order to bring this initiative to fruition.  The Program will follow a structured and order teaching of the Qur'anic Sciences.  The sessions are open to all men and women seeking to gain a rich understanding and appreciation for the greatest miracle of Islam, Al-Qur'an.

THE SCHEDULE

Uloom Ul-Qur'an (The Quranic Sciences)

Weekend Sessions
Saturday May 29th & Sunday May 30th
10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Weeknight Sessions
Monday May 31st - Thursday June 3rd
4:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Evening sessions have been scheduled to accommodate those coming from work.
***Breaks and meals are a part of the program each day.***

THE SITE
 
All of the sessions will be held at the ISNA Centre in Mississauga.
2200 South Sheridan Way, Mississauga, ON.

From the West:

ABOUT OUR TEACHER



?   Shaykh Samir Al-Nass was born in Damascus, Syria.  He studied in the College of Medicine at the University of Damascus.  He studied in the United States and became qualified in internal medicine and has sat on the American Medical Board.  He studied under some of the great Ulema of Sham and Saudia Arabia and has Ijazah in the ten styles of recitation of the narration of Shatibiyyah and Durra from Shaykh Muhammad Sukr.  He has Ijazah in fiqh and 'aqida from Shaykh Abu Yusr ibn Abidin.  He also has Ijazah in Hadith from Al-Hafidh Shaykh Abdallah Siraj ud-Din.  He has been teaching the four schools of Islamic law, Madhabs, for over 20 years.
