I have been an ardent admirer of IBB for the simple reason that the man appears to be a real MAN. When i talk of men, i talk of them as those that can suck the tail of a live scorpion, and not as the weakling yellow freaks in terms of those embracing women. I believe truly that IBB has been the most hated, dehumanized and disgraced leader by the press(s/w) we have ever had. The guy caurageously withstood all those attacks on his person, undaunted and resolute in his belief, till date. I may be wrong, but I think people like IBB should stay clear of the dirty game, politics. The ertswhile Buhari was lured into it, and terribly crashed, or "made" to crash at the polls. I believe that politics in this country is fast becoming a game of deciet, cheating, arm twisting and even elimination. IBB should spare us the agony of another northern gentleman being "crashed" in 2007. ???

Muhammad

Assalamu Alaikum

IBB supporters listen and please answer this:

1) Do you believe the wealth IBB has accumulated came from his salary ?
2) Do you think what is not done by IBB in 8 years or relative peace and stability can be achieved at this time of debilitating chaos.
3) Name one non-governmental/political project IBB has supported with more than 100 million Naira.

Finally, I would suggest the man the real man- not tainted by allegations of corruption or deceit,  Muhammadu Buhari. The stronger points of Buhari's regime- Ie Law & Order, security and accountablity is exactly what NIgeria needs not a person with questionable source of income. Is not not telling how mamoth crowds turn out to greet Buhari whenever he goes out for campaign. Is this same for the stoned?? (in Zaria recently remember?) IBB?
Haba yan uwa, yaushe zamu fahimci yaudarar mutane kamar Babangida sukewa talakkawa. He has nothing to offer.
Buhari does.

Thank you, Amin. I knew this brigade would surface here sooner or later. Here is a man who helped Nigeria become on of the most corrupt nations in the world, plunged Nigeria into the June 12 crisis from which we have barely recovered, and should be in jail for massive embezzlement. Yet he lives like a sacred cow, and we are still trying to get him back into power! If Abacha was resurrected from the dead, I'm sure ppl would still beg him to run for president, despite the evidence of Nigeria's wealth scattered all over the world on account of him and his family members. Someone here(i think umulhuda) said while back that Abacha was a nationalist! Guys, come on, I know OBJ really sucks, but don't you think we need new blood in the presidency?

I think IBB deserve to come back to power and try to correct the mistakes he made. He went on power ofcourse rich but now he is even richer and I think he can only do a good job for us not to steal our billions. Furthermore and most importantly I may benefit from his presidency so why should I not like him? IBB 2007 sai munyi. How interesting that will be to me accepting my undergraduate degree from MIT and seeing Babangida back in power the same year. That will be awesome.

Yo kamalu aren't u being a little too naive? This is the governance of a nation that we're talking about o. Since when did embezzlement at this level result from a lack of 'enough riches'?

The idea that IBB made mistakes during his tenure is a huge understatement and in fact incorrect. The man knew exactly what he was doing every step of the way. Unlike OBJ who is clearly inept, IBB was (and is) a very intelligent man. However he used his brain for evil rather than good; a self-confessed 'evil genius'. How can we be sure that he will use his genius for good this time around?

I believe there is a lesson to learn from OBJ's second coming. No serious nation votes in a man to fix the mess he made b4; that seems to me like a curious form of laziness. Recycling is a good idea, but not when it comes to Nigeria's leadership. Unfortunately, we will continue to recycle tested and failed leaderhip until we stop thinking of the presidency in ethnic terms, i.e. north/south, 'na our turn' attitude. At this rate I would rather see a man from mars in Aso Rock than the present crop of former military strongmen as long as I'm convinced he has solid policies to push Nigeria forward. Man this country needs prayers.
