THE RETURN OF MALLAM OR NEPU
Prior to the April 2003 election  little or non did i know of Mallam Ibrahim Ahmed Shekarau, the God choosen Govr of Kano.Nor his political credentilas, inclination or associations.

But shortly after his triumph over the memorable Kwankwaso did i begin to heard all sorts of attributes associted with him, honesty, sincererity and trustworthy. The dramatic redeployment of his to a class room teacher was much pronounce and was much sited as an example of wonders Allah can do.

The later episode makes me pray for mercy for Kwankwaso if what i read or heard is true,to my utmost suprise,Shekarau take all these with fate,as what Allah has destined for him to which no motal can avert.

Then events begin to manifest the level of sincererity and honesty of Shekarau, for every step he took on isssuues he remain me of our father MALLAM AMINU KANO ,of bless memory .Most often i use to feel as if it is mallam himself with his humanistic approache to issues and matters.

There came the variuos appointments, there are the deciples of Mallam, alot of NEPU's resurface and take positions, contributing in each and every subject of developmental importance .People i thought have gone down just resurface galantly.

My confusion is these,Is Shekarau's government modelled according to Mallam's(Aminu Kano) theory/princeples or the NEPU traditions? if wecan seperate the two.As ANPP is not equal to NEPU just as  Mallam Shekarau is not to Mallam Aminu Kano, thou they are all Mallams as they are all political parties, only the generations differs. It seems time has been reverse positively.

I knew Mallam before he became governor. While his radical policies might resemble NEPU's, his religious affiliations dont.
Aminu Kano was of the Tijjanniya brother hood whilst Ibrahim Shekarau belongs to the Izalatul Bidi'a was-sunnah.
We hope Mallam will introduce programs that are beneficial to the people and IMPLEMENT them before he leaves office.
I wish him well.
