Who is KEMI ADEOLA?

Between yesterday and today, all I keep hearing on the hourly news bulletin of Virgin radio Groove is the name of a teenager called Kemi Adeola. A millionaire's daughter who planned a blue print of the (im)perfect (as it turns out) murder and then executed it by stabbing her elderly 84 yr old neighbour Anne Mendel some 14  times at her home in North London.

We can assume Kemi is Nigerian from her totally Yoruba name. She is in prison at moment and is about to be sentenced. The murder took place in March, so its not news to some ppl presumably though its new to me. What is baffling is who she is and why she did such a senseless thing. She must be totally unscrewed up in her attic, cos she has no reason to commit this crime, if one takes account of the silver spoon in her mouth.

Maybe she's  a half cast. That could account for it; more Caucasian blood in her than Negroid, because I cant think an African immigrant would do such a thing.  I dont know though and please no offence meant to you half or whole Caucasians who might be reading this.

Anyone can shed more light? Any one knows  moneyed Nigerians by the name of Adeola?

She will be sentenced today. Her father, a Nigerian millionaire living in London, has disowned her. She is not mixed race. Her father's name is Bola Adeyoola.

She was given the best education and a very strict upbringing by her father who despite his riches did not indulge the girl.
So she started stealing in shops and got into trouble with the police.
Then she decided she needed ?3million.
So she decided she would befriend rich old ladies then kill them and steal their money.
The old lady she killed was a "trial run".
She had her whole plan of action written down and the police found it when they were investigating the murder of the old lady.
I suspect the girl is not right in the head.

Husnaa, your notion that this girl's criminal action may have to do with a supposed bi-racial trait does not make much sense. For one, we now know based on Dave's response that she is all black. Secondly there are no statistics or studies anywhere showing that bi-racial or half cast kids as you guys refere to them in Nigeria, have a greater propensity for this type of violence.

Clearly this is a troubled child probably suffering from kleptomania. kleptomania is an impulse to steal, and a lot of girls according to a NY clinical study are more likely to shoplift than boys. Famed actress Winona Ryder has this problem and was arrested a while back for stealing in an apartment store.  Earlier that day, she had spent $4000 in that same shop buying stuff.

If this Nigerian girl had a comfortable life, good education, access to her father wealth, etc, yet she put together this elaborate scheme to steal from an older woman, which eventually became an homicide, then it is obvious that there are deeper issues here. This isn't your regular homicide, and I would imagine that the court did order a pyschiatric evaluation prior to trial to determine her mental state at the time.

Let me also point out here, that many black Africans commit similar gruesome acts, and even worse in different circumstances. The incidents of armed robbery in Nigeria is a clear picture of horror when surviving victims recount their ordeal in the hands of robbers.  Robbers have been known to rape women in the presence of their husbands and children, then brutally hack the victims, before leaving....not fleeing, but leaving the scene.

In other cases, when we review the events that happened in Rwanda, Liberia, Sierra-Leone and other waring hot spots in Africa, the word genocide is taken to a whole different level.  Soldiers and rebels alike chop off people's arms and legs, cut out unborn babies from the bellies of pregnant women, chop off people's heads without care. Are these not extremely black Africans behaving worse than animals?

This girl's crime should not come as a surprise to anyone. We are not morally upright people in Nigeria like we try to advertise. We keep deluding ourselves with this false moral uprightness like we are really better than anyone else. Truth is Kemi Adeola has done what is actually a normal occurance in Nigeria.

At the aftermath of every so called religious riot in Nigeria, we see hundreds of burnt corpse littered all over the communities where the killings took place. One group of Nigerians killing another, chopping off their heads, limbs, and burning people alive-men, women and children. They do this without conscience, or regard for human life. As a matter of fact, they commit these gruseome acts of cold blooded murder while chanting praises to their god as hundreds of their fellow citizens lay on the streets covered in blood.

So Husnaa, what exactly makes Kemi Adeola action so shocking? Do our people not do worse all the time?

Are u trying to know who the girl is or who her father is? or are u just trying to say that she commited the crime cos she is mixed race? Am kind of confused here her race has nothing to do with this. its just her as an individual not her race, u were talking about black people not doing that can of thing. I want u to know that the most babaric race on earth is the black race cant u see what is happening in Dafur(Sudan), Kenya,Ivory Coast,Liberia. where people have thier arms cut off, their legs ripped off, where people eat people(canibalism)  just becaues of some useless ethnic or religous fightings, its killing killing all accros the continent, no wonder its called the dark continent the bottom line is we do far worse. I think Dave understood what I meant better than u two,  ETE and DAN  MAMA. That is why he calmly answered me without finger wagging at my comments.

We are talking about a crime that was committed in England. Now the nature of the crime was such that at least from my perspective, its the sort of crime that immigrant AFRICANS do NOT commit  but rather the indigenous natives. I have no firm basis for my opinion, but the point is I have never heard of black African immigrants who have deliberately and cold bloodedly planned the murder of old ppl and then went ahead and executed them. Immigrant African blacks are more likely to be concerned with keeping a low profile especially if they are illegal immigrants, and if they are legal immigrants, they are busy trying to either adjust into the society, or get a decent job, or try to improve their lives in anyway, because they cant afford to do something that can send them packing out of Britain, or worse jailed.
Of course black African immigrants commit crimes in Britain, and murder as well, but I doubt that the murder is as premeditated as this, assuming a murder is commited.
So I am not talking about the violence Africans do in Africa, I am thinking more about the sort of violence Africans engage in,  in England and I am of the opinion, that premeditated murder of old white women is hardly one of them and that is the sort of crime commited by white people in their own country, and that is why I thought that Kemi maybe is a half cast since her name is very African.
Maybe to prove my point, both of you mentioned the occurrence of such heinous crimes being commited in AFRICA, by AFRICANS and in NIGERIA by NIGERIANS, but you never cited any instance of a black immigrant doing the same in England. I think the Kemi Adeolu incidence is an isolated case and as such, thought provoking.

Well, you also never explained your agument in detail as you've done now.  Go back and read your previous posting. You simply suggested that she was half cast and that  that may have been the reason behind her homicidal crime.
True, most African immigrants in the US do not have a history premeditated violence as committed by Kemi, but that's because most African immigrants in America are not crazy.  The embassy in Nigeria and other African countries of origin make sure they sift through the list of visa applicants and issue visas to only a select few that they determine would pose the least trouble abroad. Even then, every now and again, one or two fall through the cracks.

It is possible that this girl is not well. In America, the judge would have ordered an evaluation. In fact, her lawyers would have put up an insanity defence and hoped that the jury would buy the argument.

I think my original text was self explanatory, I specifically wrote that she had more white blood than african, bcos I can't think AN ARICAN IMMIGRANT would do such a thing. I also mentioned her mental situation -(unscrewed in her attic). I thought that ppl would deduce the meanings behind the comments. One of the problems with Nigerians is poor communication. They speak in codes and never clearly express their view, but expect people to "deduce" the meaning or figure it out.

First off, according to Dave, Kemi Adeola is not mixed. She is pure black , so you are wrong on your analogy of her racial orientation being a factor here. You are dead wrong. she is all black.

Going back to my opening comment,  it is important that you clearly communicate your views so that people are not left guessing.  There is nothing wrong with being clear and direct. If one is sure of what he/she is saying, then no need for short cut commentaries or coded expressions. This is a real African problem. We either offer limited information or avoid talking about things altogether but expect people to 'figure' it out.

In more civilized societies,  people go into clear details so there is no mistaking if what's being said and what is expected.

She was sentenced to life imprisonment on Wednesday but I believe psychiatric reports were also called for so she may be confined in an institution for the criminally insane rather than a normal prison.
The prosecution argued however that she was not insane, just wicked.
She was certainly foolish to write down all the details of the killing she had done and the ones she intended to do. The police found the  notebook when she was in prison for stealing from shops.

It was  foolish of her to  keep a log of criminal activities. When you wrote she needed three million and it became a motive for murder, it didnt sound like she was crazy after all. But I believe that if her dad hadnt disowned her, things may probably not have come to such a bad pass, and sometimes very strict upbringings can be too strict and push one in the very direction that its supposed to keep one from.

There is a middle path between indulgence and strictness and the dad probably went to one extreme. In Nigeria, we sometimes have cases of extremely rich men who for some reasons are so stringent with the purse strings that even providing the basic necessities of life to their families becomes problematic. In cases like this, some intrepid kids start filching the dad's money when ever they get the opportunity. They are also unable to handle money responsibly at the time they inherit the wealth as its frittered away in trying to make up for not having had it earlier. Of course they dont become criminal elements in society, but there is always the tendency that they can, if they are the filching sort.

You keep claiming that others understood you. That is a damn lie. Dan  mama did not understand you either.  You are trying so hard to spin your way out of your own blunder. The truth is you goofed, and then when both myself and Dan mama presented a common sense rebuttal to your submission, you did a spin and claimed to have meant something else. That just won't fly.

I am also not copying anyone's language. I am simply pointing out the error in your logic that this girl's racial background had an effect in her violent criminal action. As it turns out, she is not mixed but pure black.  Now Dave chooses not to react one way or the other for reasons best known to him. I doubt that he does not notice the descreancy in your initial reasoning...I did, so did Dan Mama.  So do not be too quick to claim that I failed to see your point, because others didn't either.
