The problem is that there is not a single word to translate it. Sinadarin kwayar iska is such a mouthful. Besides, ai oxygen is not the only sinadarin kwayar iska. There are other kwayoyin iska, like hydrogen, carbon dioxide and traces of some inert gases. U all find those in the iska. So that translation is strictly a genera one. Doesnt apply to oxygen alone.
Same with naura mai kwalkwalwa. laptops palmtops pda and anything with artificial intelligence can be termed naura mai kwakwalwa.

Oxygen - Oksijin
Atmosphere - atmosfiya

Toh jama'a ai na nauka akwai department a BUK dake daukar nauyin fasar abubuwa zuwa hausa, kamar new technology and so on.

Amma kuma kusan ko wane harshen duniya, in mutanen sa  suka je suka samo abinda basu dashi a garin su, sai kiga sun dauki sunan abinnan na asali, su maida shi abin kira gare shi. Bayan wani dan lokaci zakiji  kalmar sunan ta gurbace ta koma wani iri, yadda harshen wa'yannan ke iya lankwasa kalmar. Musali biyu zan baki.
Na farko, lokacin da turawa suka shiga kasar larabawa wajen shekara dubu da suka shige, sun tarar da larabawa na amfani da sukari. Balarabe na kiran sikari sukkar. Turawa suka tafi da sikari garin su, kuma a hankali su ka maida kalmar sugar.  Karshen ta ma alokacin su, harrufan nan guda biyu 'Su' a kalmar sugar ana fadar su kamar 'su' ne maimakon 'shu' din da ake fada a yau.
Na biyu kuma shine ganyen shayi. Ina kyautata tsammanin asalin ganyen shayi da ga kasar China ne, sukuma larabawa su ka samo daga can. Chinese na kiran shayi 'cha' ko 'ca' (a hausan ce). Larabawa kuma na kiran shayi, shayi. To kin ga kenan da yake larabci ba kalmar 'ca'. Kusan cin ca a larabce shine 'sha'. So u can see where it may possibly have arisen.
Another one is khammis or khamis... an arabic word for a kind of dress or shirt. In French you have the chemise which is an undergarment worn in the middle ages in Europe. Nowadays a chemise is a vest slip worn by women. The word Chemise originated from the Arabic word khammis

i thought these devices were all variants of the computer
'sides that is how computer is are actuay tranlated in media(radiyo,talabijin,jaridu da qasidu).thats where i rely on for translation of some non-hausa words.

Yes they are all variations of the same thing...computer. But as u can see in English, they already each have a name with which each is recognized by. Can we think up of names to apply to each item that are short and not too descriptive like the 'naura mai kwalkwalwa which is three words to describe a single item?

I think whoever translated the word INTERNET (YANAR GIZO) into hausa language has tried alot. Irin wannan cigaba shi muke so.  Lets try harder!!!
