A defining moment for public officer in NIgeria i here.  Soon after President Umaru Musa Yar'adua's public declaration of his assets, a flurry of declarations has been taking place.  It is set to bring forth a chain reaction that may not be too palatable to public office holders.  The president's action may have weighed heavily on the polity, but can it cleanse it?

In the president's declaration in the Code of Conduct Bureau CCB1 form, his total worth is N856 million, while his wife's is put at N19 million.

A week after, the former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Ahmed Sani declared that he is worth N1.1 billion and Governor Ibrahim IDris of Kogi State's asset is valued at N700 million.

Will the declaration by the President ever changed the attitude
of our leaders in terms of looting Nigeria's money?

How true is this declaration of assets and liability?

For God sake, imagine Amirul Muminin declaring N1.1 billion!!!!
How did he acquire all this money and assets? Is it for just being
a Governor for 8 years?
