AFRICAN CLIMATE CHANGE RESEARCH CENTRE- Call for
papers[/color][/color]
The African Climate Change Research Centre (ACCREC), Nigeria office, is hereby inviting papers from individuals, government agencies, NGOs and corporate organizations to be presented at its one-day first regional conference in Jigawa State titled:  The Effect of Climate Change in Northern Nigeria: Way forward.
Papers can be sent via africanclimatecentre@yahoo.com  or to the confab Secretariat, Village Development Initiative Office, Investment House, Dutse, Jigawa State latest by Friday 5th February, 2010.
The conference will be co-chaired by Profs Sabo Bako and Kabiru Sabitu, Directors of MDGs and Ministries of Environment and Agriculture, Jigawa State on Wednesday 10th of February, 2010. Representatives from the states' Ministries of Environment, Agriculture, Education and the MDG Offices are also part of the presenters at the conference. Interested academics who want to be Chair at the conference can declare their interest via the same email address above, latest by Friday, 5th February, 2010.
The conference venue is New Jigawa State's Secretariat Conference Hall (upper floor). Conference programme/proceedings will be sent to all participants via their email addresses on Thursday, 4th February, 2010, that is, six (6) days before the conference. The date of the conference is 10th February, 2010.

The call for papers is very late in the day. Papers have to be in 5 days before the conference. I think this is very very short notice and it is unlikely that u will get meaningful material passed to u as a result.

I think the paper submission can be adjusted Husnaa. Anyone interested in sending one, I think can do it, but it should reach us at least 2 days before the confab. What we actually intend doing is to come and meet (stakeholders) and get to know and familarize with one another. Will update you if there's any change in plan. We had an impromptu meeting at ABU yesterday. Will alos update you over what transpired.
