[Sahih Muslim: Book 032 'Kitab Al-Birr was-Salat-I-wa'l-Adab', Number 6195]

Nawwas b. Sim'an al-Ansiri (Radi Allah Anhu) reported: I asked Allah's Messenger (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) about virtue and vice.
He (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said:
"Virtue is a kind disposition and vice is what rankles in your heart and that you disapprove that people should come to know of it."
