Assalamu alaikum

Innalillahi wa ina ilahin rajiun

Yasser Arafat, the unchallenged Palestinian leader who fought for decades for statehood but was later seen by many as an obstacle to his people's dreams, died today in a Paris hospital after a lingering illness. He was 75

May Allah reward him, forgive him and protect him from the trial of the grave and the torment of the fire.

And for the palestinians, may Allah magnify your rewards and better your solace and forgive your deceased- Amin Allah ya jikanshi

Though they killed him before his time, they ( western media) were even deliberaating on where he's supposed to be buried ( Gaza, Masjid al aqsa, or palsetine ground) su dai suka jiyo ,tun ma kafin ya mutu kenan gashi har Allah ya karbi abinsa Allah ya ji kan Yasser Arafat ya kuma basu magaji.
o try and fail is atleast to learn. That will save one the inestimable loss of what might have been (positive or negative).

Yasser Arafat..well, to me he will always have a mixed legacy. I'd like to know why he didn't accept Ehud Barak's offer about 4 years ago. That said, his shabby treatment by the Israelis in his last days was downright shameful

Poor Arafat. He did much for his people but the inevitable, as it does and will do to us all, visited him. "If only he could delay it", some will say.....
Anyway we pray that Allah has accepted his good deeds and pray that jannah is his final abode.

Some see his passing as the death of the palestinian struggle. NO need to tell them how wrong they are!
I think Arafat is great for what he symbolized not how he ruled.  He was not a manager but a leader.

Rest in peace Abu Ammar.....
